Hip Hip Hooray Kit – A Stamping Journey

HEXAGON HIVE SOCCER INSPIRED CARD!

Just a quick post as I race out the door to get this in the mail. I made this card up for one of my Great Nephew’s 9th Birthday. I have to get it in the post TODAY!

I realised I didn’t have a lot of stamps for the young boys, but Hey! with the World Cup Soccer that has been around this would work the trick.

I cut Black card with the Hexagon Hive Die and layered it on some Whisper White card. This was adhered to the Pacific Point Card Base. The greeting is from the ‘Hip, Hip, Hooray’ card kit and stamped in Pacific Point and cut with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. I cut a Real Red Starburst with the Starburst Framelits. The little yellow flags are punched with the Petite Pennants Punch.

I am sure the inside money would be more appreciated than the outside card so no need to go to too much trouble!! Hope you like it though??

OMBRE ZIG ZAGS!

I saw a card on Pinterest that I really liked the look of so I thought I would recreate it. I thought that I would go with the Ombre look (ie a graduation in colour tone). I have used the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die to create the zig zags. I did one – AND why not create 4 different ones. (Apologies for the bad lighting. It has been overcast lately).

The sentiments are from ‘Perfect Pennants’ and ‘Hip, Hip, Hooray’ stamp sets.

I will show you them individually.

Colours are Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Sky Blue. Base card is Tempting Turquoise.

Colours are Garden Green, Gumball Green, Wild Wasabi and Pistachio Pudding. Card Base is Gumball Green.

Colours are Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette. Card Base is Pumpkin Pie.

Colours are Cherry Cobbler, Rose Red, Melon Mambo and Crisp Canteloupe. Card Base is Rose Red.

The Ombre effect is quite “in” at the moment. Why not go and make an ‘Ombre’ card yourself.

HIP, HIP, HOORAY BANNER BLAST!
