SWEET SUNDAY WITH THE WILD BUNCH KOALA ~

It’s Sweet Sunday time. I have been colouring the little critters from the Wild Bunch Stamp Set. It is a cute one. Today I put together one of those little ones. Of course being an Aussie it had to be the Koala.

I coloured the Koala with the Watercolor Pencils and fussy cut it out.

I used the Nature Walk Paper. It looks a bit “bushy” or among “trees”. The diecut leaf is from the Nature’s Symphony Dies. I don’t know if they leaf would work for a Eucalyptus leaf (their favourite) but it would substitute on this.

The Wild Bunch is this month’s Product of the Month. Have you noticed it? It’s a cute one. I don’t often do cute but well this has a Koala and lots of fun, happy critters it would work for grown ups too.

The Product of the Month is available for an additional small amount when your order reaches the qualifying amount. It differs in each market. In Australia purchase the Product of the Month for an additional $9 when your order reaches $125.

Have a wonderful week and I hope it is a crafty one for you.

HOLE IN THE ROCK WITH THE SCENIC COAST BUNDLE ~

I have been creating a lot with the Scenic Coast Bundle this week. I will share them all with you in the coming week.

Today’s card though is using the stamps to create a scene. I wasn’t sure what direction to take this when I started it but then it happened. And I created a Hole in the Rock scene.

There is a Hole in the Rock in New Zealand just like this that you can cruise through. I did that some years ago one time when I was there.

For the water I stamped it once in the centre and then either side of that to create a wider water scene. The “Hole in the Rock” was stamped in Pecan Pie for the solid image and Early Espresso for the shadow areas. It creates more depth when doing that.

It is hard to but I also stamped the smaller “water” stamp over the Night of Navy card in 3 areas to create the background. I considered embossing with an embossing folder but it worked ok for a subtle background.

The Hello is from the Simply Said Stamp Set.

This is the Sunset Coast Stamps and Dies.

Check back over the next week as I share more with these stamps and dies and the paper.

Hydrangea Hue and Lemon Lime Twist have been a favourite combination recently.

Here is another simple card with these colours and using the Berry Botanicals Vellum Specialty Paper.

The Opulent Oasis Bundle is available in the May-August Catalogue. The Berry Botanicals Vellum Specialty is available as May Product of the Month.

Last Day tomorrow. Be sure to check back in. Let me know what you think of this series too. Would you like to see other Bitesize video series on a bundle or technique?

5 MINUTES, 5 DAYS, 5 WAYS WITH THE OPULENT OASIS BUNDLE – DAY 3

Day 3 of our series – 5 Minutes, 5 Days, 5 Ways with the Opulent Oasis Bundle.

These are small Bitesize videos showing how you can use the Stampin’ Up! Opulent Oasis Bundle. Day 1 looked at using the Impressions Mat with the Dies to get that extra puffiness. Then Day 2 looked at different ways of colouring the embossed/diecut images.

Day 3 I share another way of colouring with the Opulent Oasis Flower. It could be my favourite way. Be sure to check that out. If you don’t have this bundle I’m sure this could easily work with some of your other diecut flowers. Or even an embossed image. Try it out and see.

Here is the Video for Day 3.

Do you want to see more of the card.

The white outlined flower just POPS in Black. Especially against the Strawberry Slush colour. This is easy to create using the White Gel Pen. I embossed the Strawberry Slush card with the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder.

I love the effect of the diecut flower but there is lovely stamped images in the set too. See how to create with these in the next 2 videos.

Happy Crafting.

5 MINUTES, 5 DAYS, 5 WAYS WITH THE OPULENT OASIS BUNDLE – DAY 2

Day 2 of our series – 5 Minutes, 5 Days, 5 Ways with the Opulent Oasis Bundle.

The first video I showed using the Impressions Mat. If you missed that head back a post. This video I showed some different ways of colouring the embossed/diecut flowers.

Hope you get to try these cards out. But if you don’t have the Opulent Oasis Bundle see what you have similar.

Try highlighting the flowers and leaves with Ink and a Dauber.

These 2 above used the Berry Botanicals Vellum Specialty Paper.

Or add some extra colour using Inks and Daubers. Do you think this looks like a Frangipanni Flower?

This one uses the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper.

See another way of colouring in the next video.

5 MINUTES, 5 DAYS, 5 WAYS WITH THE OPULENT OASIS BUNDLE – DAY 1

I’m bringing you a new series this week. 5 Minutes, 5 Days, 5 Ways with the Opulent Oasis Bundle. Small bitesize videos to help inspire you when creating with this bundle. But if you don’t have this bundle you might just be able to create these with other stamps/dies you have.

In this video I show you how to use the new Impressions Mat. The mat helps give a little more “puffiness” to the Impressions Dies.

Here is the video for you to follow along.

These are the cards I showed how to make.

Which colour do you like – the Crisp Canteloupe or the Strawberry Slush?

Be sure to check back with the other videos this week as I share more with this Bundle.

FRAMED BERRY BOTANICAL VELLUM PAPER

Here is another project with the Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty Paper. Although you could create with look with any pretty paper.

Stampin' Up! Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty _ Framed

This is a great way to highlight the patterns of your paper rather than covering much of it up. Create a frame by diecutting some layering (or Nested) shape Dies. On this one I used the Nested Essentials Dies. You could use any shape though. Try square or circles or even rectangles. See what you have.

Hope you get to try this way out. It is a very quick, simple card but can be effective.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny

The Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty Paper is available as this month Product of the Month. Available to you for an additional $9 when your order reaches over $125 (Australian market. Check your own market).

STAMPIN’ UP! OPULENT OASIS WITH BERRY BOTANICAL VELLUM

The Opulent Oasis Bundle has been on my desk for some weeks now. I have been having lots of fun creating with this. So why put it away …

I shared one card in a recent post. This is another similar card I have made.

I like with this set that you can simply stamp the flower and diecut or there is the additional diecut flower/leaves that you can add. I will share more with that one in later posts.

For this card I went for the Hydrangea Hue and Lemon Lime Twist colour again. Because why not! I do like those colours. I added in the Peaceful Pine leaves also.

I used the Berry Botanical Vellum Specialty Paper. This is the May Product of the Month. I have been creating a lot with this paper over the past month working for the Demonstrator Council. I will show you more projects later with this

The Product of the Month is available with your qualifying purchases. In Australia when your order is over $125 you can purchase the product for an additional $9. Check your market for your amount.

If you need your own supplies and you are in Australia I would love to help you get them. You can order through my Online store -> HERE OR Contact me directly.

THE NEW STAMPIN’ UP! OPULENT OASIS IN FRESH COLOURS ~

First play with the new Stampin’ Up! Opulent Oasis Stamps and Dies. I went simple for this first card. This bundle does have the large flowers and leaves dies you can work with the new Impressions Plate but I thought I would simply stamp the flowers and leaves first and see how they go.

Picking out some colours to use I tried these colours I found on Brian King’s Blog (HERE) I wasn’t sure about how these colours would work but that’s ok.

The colours I used were Lemon Lime Twist and Hydrangea Hue. It did have Petal Pink as another colour to work with it. I thought about adding it in but as I was making the card I left that off. Sometimes too many colours can be too much.

I do like the sentiments in the set. They are simple, versatile ones and they have a lovely font style.

I stamped the flowers and diecut them and diecut some additional leaves. These additional leaves were diecut in Granny Apple Green.

I have played a little more with this set and used the Impressions mat with it too. I will show you those soon. So be sure to check back to see them.

The Opulent Oasis Bundle will be available in the May-September Catalogue out on May 5th!! Not long now.

Hope you get to try these stamps and dies. And don’t miss out on viewing the catalogue. I will post more soon.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny
