I recently made a card with the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Poinsettia Bundle.
I wasn’t happy with it. I will show you the card but then I will show you what I did. Sometimes making a card just doesn’t turn out right but it’s ok to review and change it up and even ask others what you could do.
Here is the original card. And to be honest I wasn’t really sure where I was going with it. It certainly didn’t look balanced or right.
I shared this on my Facebook page to see what others thought. I had some great suggestions too. Moving the leaves, move the flower, add more flowers. The issue was those leaves were stuck down hard. I couldn’t move them and I wasn’t about to remake the card. If I moved the flower it would still be unbalanced.
I managed to move the flower a little. It wasn’t stuck down too hard. Then I diecut and assembled another flower and added it lower down. So here is the updated card.
So what do you think of this now?? Better?
I added Wink of Stella to the leaves and flowers to add some sparkle.
So don’t be afraid to revisit a card that you are not happy with – and to ask others too. 🙂
