SNORKELLING HIPPEST HIPPOS!

I shared this card on Facebook the other day with the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Hippos Dies and just have to share it with you now. This card just makes me smile. 🙂

My snorkelling hippos are swimming with their Green Turtle Friend.

The top scallop water edge is from the Scalloped Contours Dies. The clouds are from the Wave Dies. The sentiment strip is from the Sending Dies. The rest you can find in the Hippos Dies. It’s great how all these dies come together to create a fun scene.

The turtle is from the Whale Done set.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #138 – THE HOTTEST HIPPEST HIPPOS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #138 – Check out the Hippest Hippos.

Some cute little hippos are in town. I couldn’t help but tell you about them for our Wednesday’s WOW! this week.

The Hippest Hippos stamp set is really cool. But let’s really take a moment to notice the Hippo Dies though.

You can dress up your hippos to be really well …hip. Create a snorkelling hippo, a hippo splashing about in a tub, or walking along in the rain, maybe a dancing hippo, or just a sweet little hippo sending you some love. It’s lots of fun.

And just a note on that sunrays card. It is stamped with the Rays of Light Background stamp, then each sunray is cut along the lines. Some are lifted up and some are even cut out. Pretty cool idea!

HIPPEST HIPPOS SAYS “YOU REALLY ARE THE BEST” AND THAT’S TRUE!

Isn’t the Hippest Hippos Set for Sale-A-Bration so cute??

The Hippo Dies that go with them just take it to another level. But today I’m not showing the dies. Let’s just have a simple card with the Hippest Hippos. I have pulled out the 2022 In Colors too using the 2022 In Color Designer Series Paper.

The card mat was embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

I created a different edge from the 2022-2024 In Color paper with the Basic Borders Dies. The leafy stem is from the Splendid Stems Dies.

WATERCOLOURING WITH PAINTED POPPIES + VIDEO!

Did you know it’s World Watercolouring Month?? A month of celebrating and sharing all things watercolouring.

I’m no expert at watercolouring. But I have picked up some tips along the way. And practice makes perfect right. 🙂

There are lots of different ways to watercolour and different mediums to use. I shared a video recently on using Watercolor Pencils. In today’s video I’m using the Ink Pads and Water Painters to create a watercolour wash and more detailed watercolouring.

I pulled out the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I haven’t used this in a while.

This card was inspired by one in the current Annual Catalogue on Page 29.

TEA BOUTIQUE Z FOLD CARD!

You can create a very easy Z Fold card with the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes. Simply score the front of the card in half. Turn the card inwards then fold the card back on itself on the fold.

Add a strip of the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper inside the card. Then on the front add a tea cup and flowers on a diecut rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies.

What do you think? It’s very quick and easy to create.

WINTER CRAFTERNOON TEA BOUTIQUE PROJECTS!

Following from the last post about my Winter Crafternoon, today I wanted to show you the projects that everyone got to make.

Everyone received a pack of the Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes in their Goodie Bag that they could create the cards with. They could take the rest home to create more. I shared other projects with them of card ideas using the Cards and Envelopes as well.

These are the 2 projects.

The colours use the lovely 2022-2024 In Colors of Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party.

The Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper matches so well with these colours and products too.

I cut all the elements for the card and everyone got to stamp and cut some of the images. Trying to be more Environmentally conscious rather than packing all the kits for the cards in Cello bags I made up little pouches using the Envelope Punch Board with pages from the retiring January to June Mini Catalogue.
