A DAZZLING DRAGONFLY!
This card was the surprise card at my Stamp A Stack yesterday. If you didn’t come you missed out!!! 😉 I thought I would show you today though.
This is using a new stamp set called ‘Awesomely Artistic’. The card was inspired by a card on Pinterest by Julia Quinn. I changed the colours and cut the banners with the Banners Framelits. The little greeting frame is cut with the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits. I don’t do a lot of Project Life BUT I have found these little framelits great for greetings. The “Wish Big” greeting is from ‘A Dozen Thoughts’ stamp set.
Of course a dragonfly has to have a little sparkle. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the wings.
I think this set has to be my most favourite set in the new catalogue. I think you are going to love it so write it down on your wish list now. Only a few days to go now until the new catalogue is out. Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
‘HEY VALENTINE FISHIES’
The excitement is building for the new catalogue to start. Not long now folks! But we still have an Occasions Catalogue AND the current catalogue to see and I still have some projects that I haven’t shown you yet. So let me show you these cute little fishy cards.
These are from the set ‘Hey Valentine’. I stamped these some time ago and coloured them with the Blendabilities. Yes that’s how long they have been sitting unfinished on my desk. I wasn’t sure how to put them together. Recently I pulled them out again and made the cards.
This card was loosely based on the Clean and Simple sketch #283. You can see that here. The sentiment is from ‘From the Herd’ and the banners are from ‘Perfect Pennants.
On this card I used ‘Gorgeous Grunge’ for the dots in the background.
This set is not just for your Valentine’s cards. Otherwise you would only use this set once a year, but where is the value in that!!! These images are just so cute for any time of the year for the young kiddies. I cut the greetings off most of the stamps in the set to make them more versatile or you could mask the greeting if you didn’t want to cut them off.
You can see another card I made with this set Here.
I have to show you this cute set.
Now you only have a couple of weeks to buy this set (June 2nd) so don’t delay. It is $42.95 Wood or $30.95 Clear mount. You can message me to order OR order Online HERE.
I am waiting (im)patiently for my preorder to arrive. Hopefully today, fingers crossed. Hope you have a Happy Day 🙂

“FIRST PLAY WITH AWESOMELY ARTISTIC!”
Last week at Leadership at the South Pacific Stampin’ Up! Convention we were given this brand new set ‘Awesomely Artistic’. I love this set. There are so many lovely elements so there will be lots of ways you can use this set. I really love the dragonfly. Yesterday I had a chance to play a little.
The base is Crumb Cake. Other colours used are Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride. The layout was loosely based on the clean and simple sketch #192. You can see that sketch in the PDF here. (There are lots of sketches on this site that can help you out when you are stuck for ideas. Check them out sometime).
This set will be available in Wood ($49.00) or Clear ($35.00) AUS. I think it will be one to have on your wish list.
Have you ordered your catalogue from your Demonstrator yet?? If you are in Australia and don’t have a demonstrator yet then contact me to have a catalogue sent out to you. This is just one of the lovely sets coming June 2nd!!! Not long to go now.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day is inky 🙂

CASE THE CATALOGUE!!
Sometimes when you sit down to create you get stumped what to do. The MOJO is just not happening! I am sure I am not the only one that happens to. But inspiration is everywhere and especially in our Stampin’ Up! Catalogues. I know I don’t use the catalogues enough when I am trying to come up with something. They have been designed that way not just to show the products but to inspire us with projects. We might CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or might just use it as a springboard for our next project. We might just pick out the colours they have used or the layout.
A few weeks ago I was flicking through the catalogue and this card caught my eye. I love how it showcases the Butterfly Thinlets and the Butterfly Basics stamp set. So I CASED the card shown. I changed the base colour and a few other little changes.
This is the card you can find on p 27 of the Occasions Catalogue.
Here is my card.
The base card is a little taller than the standard size so I could fit the butterflies on there. The base is Crumb Cake and the butterflies are Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango.
So next time you get stuck, grab one of your Stampin’ Up! Catalogues and see what jumps out at you. 🙂
Have a Happy Day,
Jenny

OCCASIONS AND SALE-A-BRATION LAUNCH 2015!
Last Saturday I had my Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogue Launch. It was a great time with 2 different times scheduled. I think we all had a great time. Why wouldn’t we?? We are creating and having a few laughs (always good for the soul!!). I thought I would show you the projects we did.
Firstly, this card uses the new Chalkboard cardstock and chalk inks. (p 25 of the Occasions Catalogue). The chalk inks come in 3 colours at the moment – Aquarmarine (green), Rose Coral (pink) and Yellow Citrus (yellow). This card was CASED from Pinterest. I have used the Sale-A-Bration paper ‘Best Year Ever’. The chalk inks match nicely with this paper. I used the ‘Big Day’ stamp set. Another Sale-A-Bration Free choice!
To give an idea how the Chalkboard cardstock looks I stamped the images on different card for comparison. You might get some idea from the photos but I have to say it is much better in real life. 🙂
I used the same chalk ink on each of these cards – the Rose Coral chalk ink pad. The first one on the left the image is stamped on regular Basic Black cardstock, the middle one is stamped on the chalkboard paper on the rough side. The one on the right ( I know I didn’t write on this one. I thought I could use it on a card later), is stamped on the shiny, smooth side of the Chalkboard paper. This is important. You will notice the 2 different surfaces to the card. You must stamp on the smoother side. You get a much more crisper image.
This card was CASED from Pinterest also and is using ‘Crazy About You’ stamp set. This is stamped in Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding. The greeting is in Smoky Slate and the “you” is from the ‘Hello There’ Thinlets from the Silver Foil.
Of course, we can’t forget the Goodie Bags I gave to all the guests. These were inspired by a project on Pinterest. I used regular brown lunch paper bags and decorated them with the ‘Butterfly Basics’ stamp set and the Butterfly Dies. The sentiment is from the Sale-A-Bration set ‘Simply Wonderful’. I coloured part of the “THANKS” with the blender pen and inkpads. The Designer Series Paper is from the Painted Blooms DSP. Absolutely gorgeous paper! The tags were attached with a cute little peg.
So I bet you wish you could have joined us!! If you are local you will have to make sure you are here next time 🙂 It was great fun.
If you haven’t seen the Occasions or Sale-A-Bration Catalogues yet then there is a link in the right hand column that will take you there. If you would like your own copy (and you are in Australia), then let me know and I can send one your way.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Jenny
SALE-A-BRATION AND THE OCCASIONS CATALOGUE STARTS TODAY!!!
Two lots of exciting news for you today.
1) Sale-A-Bration is HERE!!
This has to be one of the most exciting times of the year because you get the Freebies!!! (All the details are below).
and
2) The Occasions Catalogue is out from TODAY!!
So many wonderful new products for many different events coming up in the next few months – Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day (OK they are great for male cards). There are also great sets for Birthdays, Thinking of you, Sympathy. You have to check it out!
One advantage of being a demonstrator, you can get hold of the products early and have a play. I have had a great time already. I will be showing you some of these projects over the coming days and weeks. I wanted to show you this one today.
I was inspired by another card I found on Pinterest using a different stamp set. They were quick cards to make to send out randomly this week to some people. 🙂 This is using the very lovely stamp set ‘Lotus Blossom’ that is a Sale-A-Bration set – which means you can get this for FREE!!! I think this is going to be a very popular choice. The colours I have used here are Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder; and Calypso Coral and Crisp Canteloupe.
HOW do you get these for free might you ask??
Spend $90 on any Stampin’ Up! Catalogue products between now and 31st March and you can choose any product in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue as your free choice. There are so many options for so many different tastes. (Psst! It will be hard to just choose one you know!!!).
OR, why not get extra freebies???
Host a party. When your sales reach $400 you get an extra $40 to spend.
This is on top of the already great Hostess rewards. For example, normally for a $400 party you would get $60, during Sale-A-bration you can now choose $100. (What would you choose for $100 of free products???). Now a party doesn’t have to be all your friends together in one place at a time, you can have a catalogue party. Pass the catalogues around to your friends/family/neighbours and collect your orders. When you reach $400 you still get the extra rewards – but hey! You miss out on me showing you some great projects. 😦
LET’S MAKE A DATE FOR YOUR PARTY NOW!!! Contact me ASAP to secure your date.
OK, you love the products. Why not join Stampin’ Up! Pay $169 of products, get $235 of products and then you can choose between 2 Free product options.
Option 1 is your choice of free kit from the Occasions Catalogue or Option 2 – choose any TWO Sale-A-Bration items.
How do you get to see these great new Catalogues??
1) You can view them Online now HERE.
Or
2) Ask me to have one sent straight to you (Australian residents only).
I can’t wait to share more exciting projects with you so stay tuned. 🙂
