BORDERING BLOOMS!

A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to play with the ‘Bordering Blooms’ set.  This was my first time playing with Photopolymer stamps too.  I have to say I loved them.  Love how they stick to the block and stay!!! They are very easy to use too being able to see clearly through the block.  So here are the cards I made then.

This first one was CASED from Pinterest by Shelly Godby.  Her version was a lot more gorgeous and she stamped the inside too but I was happy with this.  I used Crisp Canteloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.  The scallop edge under the border was using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch.  The greeting is from ‘Wetlands’.

Another quick card.  This one was CASED from Sharon Burkert on Pinterest.  Her card had a White Card base.  I decided to make mine on a coloured card base so I used Hello Honey.  I think this will look good on any colour base.  I will try that sometime soon.  The little flowers were punched from the ‘Itty Bitty Accents Pack’.  The greeting was from ‘Blooming with Kindness’.  I coloured Adhesive Pearls with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities set.

I liked this simple layout so I thought I would make it into a Christmas Card.  My first for the season. It’s a bit hard to get your head around Christmas yet but since the Holiday Catalogue is out very soon I have to make a start.

I used Cherry Cobbler and stamped the “vine” type image in Mossy Meadow.  The pearls were coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.

One more – sorry.  This next one I made for a workshop last week.  After stamping the blooms I coloured them with the Blendabilities.  The greeting is from the hostess set ‘Hello There’.  I added a little of the Gold sequins, Gold Twine and some paper piercing.  I haven’t used this colour combination for some time using Rich Razzleberry and Wisteria Wonder.

Hope you liked them.  I think these will be a great addition to your stamp collection suitable for many occasions.  Check it out below.  You can buy this or any other Stampin’ Up! products in my Online store.  Check the link in the right hand side bar.

Thanks for stopping by today. The rain is still pouring down here but it is good to have it.  The grass was looking a little brown. Hope all is well in your part of the world.  🙂

STAINED GLASS BUTTERFLY!

I realised I hadn’t shown you this card.  We made this at my Vellum class a couple of months ago. This is the stained glass technique on Vellum.

P1080347-1

The stained Glass technique is very easy to do.  Simply stamp on vellum using black Staz-on.  Then on the back of the vellum, colour with markers.  You can use different colours if you would like to.  Leave it to dry a little and then assemble your card.  For this card I have used one of my favourite combinations of Pool Party and Island Indigo.  I ran the Pool Party piece through the Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder and layered this with some black card.   I simply added a greeting from ‘Blooming with Kindness’ and added a button and Whisper White Bakers Twine.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a good weekend,

Jenny

BLOOMING WITH KINDNESS ON WHITE!

Aloha!! Have you missed me???  I have been cruising around the Hawaiian Islands this past week.  It is such a beautiful place and the people are so friendly.  I have taken SO many photos and I will share some with you when I get home.  I just thought I would pop by and send you a post so you don’t forget me too quickly 😉

Here is a card I created a couple of months ago now with ‘Blooming with Kindness’.  (Not the best photo   It seems a bit washed out.  Sorry I can’t take another photo now!!) I really love the detail in the flower.  So many ways you can use this flower.  I used this stamp at Leonie N’s.  when we were having a stamping day.  I have CASED this from somewhere and now I really can’t remember.

I have cut 3 rectangles in Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray and Old Olive.  I used some non-permanent adhesive to adhere the 3 pieces together on scrap card and then stamped the flower randomly over them.  I then adhered them to the bottom of a Whisper White card piece.  The flower was then stamped again above these.  Each time I used Black Staz On.  The greeting is from ‘Fabulous Phrases’.  I add this all to a whisper White Card base after tying around some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon.  A pearl was added for a touch of elegance.

Thanks for stopping by.  For now, I’m off to the beach  Sorry!  🙂  I will stop by and post again soon.

SOME MORE CREATIVITY!!!

Just a quick post to show you some more cards we made at our stamping weekend a few weeks back.  These were some fun cards to create.

This first one I CASED from Leonie using the cute set “I Dig You”.  This is a great set.  I think I need to add it to my collection.  I just don’t have too many little boys to use if for, but then again I have a few “young boys at heart”!

This one was CASED from Renee Van Stralen here. I love the emboss resist effect with the tree from ‘Lovely as a Tree’.  The layout is kept simple so the effect stands out – I hope??? I used Pool Party for most of the sponging and along the left hand edge I added just a touch of Garden Green.

We each made one of these so I thought I would show you a group shot.  It is funny how they look in different colours.  Andrea made hers in Old Olive (top), Leonie’s was in Marina Mist (bottom left), and then mine.  I really should have tied a bow on mine rather than just knotted the organza ribbon, and added some rhinestones.  It really makes them look more classy!

Now this card below is a sneak of a new set coming in the new catalogue.  This set is called “Blooming with Kindess”.  I got to have a play with Leonie’s set.  She got this set from Convention at the Manager’s reception.  I love the detail in this flower.  It is really gorgeous.  I love the font in the greetings in this set too.  We CASED this card but I can’t tell you from where at the moment.  I will get back to you on that if I can find out.

This card is done with the Emboss resist technique again. I have used Pretty in Pink around the flower with Cherry Cobbler sponged in the centre.  Then I sponged Old Olive along the stem of the flower.  I added a bow with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon.

Here are the 3 together of this card.  (Sorry about the mess around the photo).  Left is Leonie’s with the Certainly Celery bow. Centre is Andrea’s.  She went for a square card. Sorry the photo is not very clear. Mine is on the right.

I hope you liked them.  I have some fun Pop-Up cards still to show you in next post, so stop by again very soon.
