It’s Sunday Suites Time. Today with the Mixed Media Florals Suite.

I have to say the Dies on their own are even great. You can use them for a number of different sentiments if you don’t want to use these.

The Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper

The paper has a number of different Mixed Media techniques in the paper. According to Stampin’ Up! it includes gouache, watercolour, and digital art. It’s sounds all impressive and looks even more impressive. I had to look up gouache. This is a water-Based paing that is opaque and has a matte finish. It’s made from natural pigment, water, and a binding agent like gum arabic or dextrin. Gouache is similar to watercolor but is more opaque and less transparent. 

The colours are gorgeous together. You can colour the Black and White prints if you wish to.

The colours in this paper are Basic Black, Boho Blue, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Shy Shamrock.

So let’s see what Stampin’ Up! has created with these great products.

Lots of diecutting for this one.

The paper background gives the impression of a sunny sky. It’s pretty.

Try a little White Heat Embossing and then colour the image with White ink. It gives a chalkboard effect perhaps.

This one let’s the deep texture with the Embossing Folder stand out.

And create a small gift box with some of the pretty paper.

STAMPIN’ UP! THANKFUL GARDEN WITH PAPER STRIPS

Our class last week was using the Thankful Garden Bundle. There are lots of ways to use this gorgeous bundle.

This was one of the cards we made. We coloured the flower with the Stampin’ Blends as in the class it is hard to use the masks with a group to share them around. But it shows that you can use these in many different ways.

The paper strips are with the Mixed Media Floral Paper that is an Online Exclusives. They just make a different element to the card mat and highlights the colours used.

MINI BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES CARD!

I have been sharing a lot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle. It is a gorgeous one. You might have caught the 5 Ways with the Beautiful Butterflies Video I posted just recently. You can find this in a previous post on my blog or now on Youtube. But I will also have the link below if you missed it.

This is one of the cards I created. It is a Mini Beautiful Butterflies folded card in Fresh Freesia.

MAKE IT YOURSELF:

To create this place your die on the fold line of your card base with the little score marks on the die lining up on the fold. Diecut it out. You will have a fold card. If you want some pretty paper on the butterfly adhere your paper to the front of the card first. I used the Beautiful Bokeh paper for this one.

I added a detailed diecut body in white on the front of the card.

TRY THE FAUX WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUE WITH THE VIDEO~

I came across the Faux Watercolour Technique recently. I was intrigued and had to try it. I thought you might like it too so I put together a video. You can follow along and give it a try.

As you watch you might see it is a bit like the Smooshing Technique. But there are some differences.

I have also used the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder which adds a nice, curvy texture. Also, using the Arched Dies for the sentiment adds a different element.

STAMPIN’ UP! HEART SHAPED STAMPS AND DIES IN LAVENDER!

I have been loving the Heart Shaped Stamps and Dies.

They are so pretty. The elegant leafy heart die is different to your regular diecut heart. I think this type of heart can be used for many different occasions not just for the “love” type cards.

I teamed it with the Perennial Lavender Paper. I think we move on to the new and greatest new thing and forget the “older” products. The Lavender paper works so well with this leafy heart.

Here is the card.

If you notice too, I diecut the heart from the Perennial Lavender Paper too. It gives a nice, subtle colour variation. The stamped leafy heart add something extra to the diecut heart.

How pretty is this set??

    CORNER IN BLOOM LAVENDER CARD!

    I was playing with the Corner in Bloom Stamp Set recently. I was wanting to colour the pretty lavender type flowers. I’m not exactly sure if they are lavender but we will go with that right. 🙂

    I noticed in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue how the creator had coloured the sample and I thought I would try that. This is the card.

    Here’s a closer look at the card. I used the Night of Navy Light Stampin’ Blends and the Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.

    The card mat was embossed with the Starstruck Embossing Folder.

    Sweet Saturday. Today it’s a cute little card – with leftovers.

    Do you have “bits” leftover from another project. They just sit there for some time taunting you. Pull them out and see what you can create.

    For this one I had some bits of the Toadstool Gardens Paper. I had a diecut heart from the Heart Shaped Dies along with the little flower. So it was all just the size to make a Mini Thank You card. This didn’t take long at all and I can send it out soon for a special Thank You to one of my customers.

    PURPLE FLOWERS WITH THE CORNER IN BLOOM STAMP SET!

    I have been doing a little colouring. I’m still trying to work on it.

    For this card I coloured the flowers from the Corner in Bloom Stamp Set.

    I like with these flowers they have the lines so you can build up your colour around these lines.

    I used the Stampin’ Blends with the Light and Dark Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grapes and the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green.

    The sentiment is from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set and diecut with the Countryside Corners Dies.
