BEAUTIFUL YOU MATCHBOX AND MINI CARDS!

Continuing on my ‘Beautiful You’ projects this week. I have a cute little Matchbox and mini cards to show you. The sentiments in this set can make great “pick me up” type cards to give to a friend. I have the tutorial for you below so you can make your own.

matchbox-box

A little drawer slides out to hold the Mini cards. I am sure you could fill it with some chocolates or maybe teabags even.

There are 4 mini cards.

I have used the ‘Playful Pallette’ DSP pack. This is a great way to use up those little scraps of patterned paper you have around. I inked the sentiments with the Markers. They were then cut out with the Layering Squares and Layering Circles Framelits. To decorate my mini cards I used the ‘Flourish Thinlits’

Do you want to make your own?  Here is the tutorial in Metric and Imperial. Give it a try.

SEALED WITH LOVE FOR VALENTINE’S DAY!

It’s Valentine’s Day!  In Australia we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day in a big way.  I gave my family a chocolate treat each but they don’t care for the wrapping really!!!  So I don’t go all out.  I have had these little note cards to show you for a while though so what better day than today. 🙂

This is another project we made at Stampin’ Up! Onstage last November.  I hadn’t finished them at the time so I only just got them together before Christmas.

sealed-with-love-notes

This is using the Sealed with Love Bundle on p 14-15 of the Occasions Catalogue.  I thought they were cute in that they used the Sending Love Designer Series Paper for the card bases.  They are tiny about 7cm square (around 3″). I just haven’t got them handy to check right now but you could make them any size. Cut a strip of the paper and fold it in half.  Then add a piece of white card inside for your message. I will have to remember this idea for other little notecards.

They use the Love Notes Framelits Dies to embellish them with the heart, the arrow and the mini envelope. The envelope is cut from vellum, the wooden embellishment is from the Sending Love Embellishment pack and some twine and Rhinestones finish it off.

Sweet little notes to send to anyone to let them know they are loved.  I think we all need that not just on Valentine’s Day.  I hope you are feeling loved. xx

OCCASIONS AND SALE-A-BRATION SAMPLER!

Last post I shared some of the creative fun from my Catalogue Reviews held last weekend. I forgot to share one more project.  So I guess this gets it’s own little post.

With all the busyness leading up to last weekend with creating I was starting to run out of time.  So I decided to use this frame I had sitting around for a while and make little samplers of some of the products.  It is only simple but was a good way of showing them. Here it is for you to see.

occasions-and-sab-2017-sampler

I included a sample of some of the papers and the dies and then embellished them. It worked well I think???  The pieces are adhered in each box with glue dots so I can easily remove them and use them on cards.  Then I can replace them with products from later catalogues.  It’s a simple way of showing off some of the products.

What do you think??

Thanks for visiting. I have lots of samples to share that I made for my launch so I will get to share those soon.

For those on the East Coast of Australia, keep cool.  The weather is heat wave conditions at the moment.  I have lost count of how many days in a row it has been now.  It’s a bit hard to be creative in this heat I will say.

CATALOGUE REVIEW UPDATE!

Finally I can share some of the fun from my Catalogue Review last weekend for the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues. I had a session on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Lots of laughs and creativity was involved I can assure you. 🙂

Firstly, I always like to make little gift bags up for my lovely guests and spoil them with some “bits” from the new catalogue.  (Also a chocolate treat is a must in the bags!). These are the little bags this time.

2017-02-04-11-07-58_wm

These are using the Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags in the Annual Catalogue. You know I did mean to emboss these bags BUT …. Well that slipped my mind until afterwards.  I used a strip of the gorgeous Falling In Love DSP and flagged the end of the piece. From a square of the Sweet Sugarplum cardstock I cut the larger flower from the Stylish Stems Framelits and then layered it on some Whisper White cardstock.  I thought the centre was a bit plain so I coloured it with the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and lightly brushed it over with the Aquapainter. This lightened the colour a little so it matched with the Kraft bags. I went over it with the Clear Wink of Stella pen for sparkle, although you can’t see that in the photo sadly.

The sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams set which I had coloured the “thanks” with the black marker before stamping it. Then punched it out with the Duo Banner Punch.

These are the cards we made.  The first one using Dragonfly Dreams Bundle and the Falling Petals Embossing Folder.  I had Cased this off Pinterest changing the Embossing Folder and adding the touch of the Paper Doily behind it.

img_20170204_190537

The second card was Cased off Pinterest too using the Sale-A-Bration sets Avant Garden and Delicate Details.  I LOVE both these sets!  Sadly I lost my little stamens from the Avant Garden set so we had to add a little dot in the centre of the flowers.  Some were very clever and drew stamens in with the Smoky Slate marker.

2017-02-09-08-02-38

I always forget to take a photo of the groups as it gets pretty busy. I snapped one just as we were finishing up at the Saturday session. Some people had already started to leave. (sorry!) 🙂 There was lots of creative mess happening.

20170204_161636

You might have seen the card tin in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue? I have dressed this one up. Everyone who has a party in the next month or 2 with me goes in the draw to win one.

Maybe I could just give some extras away too. Mmm? If you want a party or your own private stamping event, let me know.  I only have a few dates available so you better be quick.

2017-02-09-08-04-05_wm

There you have it. We had a product playground too for everyone to test out the pencils and a few other new products. That’s always good to test those things out.

Thanks for visiting me.  Visit again soon,

A CUTE BIRDHOUSE WITH THE HOME SWEET HOME THINLITS!

I can’t wait to share the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration TOMORROW!! How exciting! But before I do I thought I would share this project that I made some months ago but realised I hadn’t shared it with you yet.

I had in my head for a while to create a cute birdhouse with the Home Sweet Home Thinlits.  It is just another way to use these cute Thinlits.

birdhouse-_-front

birdhouse-_-top-side

To Create the Birdhouse: The house  was cut from Thick Whisper White cardstock to make it sturdier.  It was stamped in Smoky Slate with the Hardwood Background stamp after cutting it out.  Before the house was assembled I cut a circle from the front piece to create a door.  I also cut a thin circle frame from Cherry Cobbler cardstock using 2 different sized Layering Circle Framelits.

To Assemble the Birdhouse: The roof is made from a strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  You can make the piece any size you like but this piece measures 5.5cm x 8cm (scored at 4cm).  Or 2 1/8″x 3 1/4″ (scored at 1 5/8″).  It was embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  Of course a Birdhouse has to have a cute bird.  This little bluebird is cut from the Birds and Blooms Thinlits and I added some greenery with the Pretty Pines Thinlits.  The sentiment is from the Sweet Home stamp set and stamped on Crushed Curry card.

Hope you like this cute house?  The Home Sweet Home Thinlits, the Sweet Home stamp set and the Pretty Pines Thinlits are being carried over so you will be able to still get hold of these to make your own after today.

Get ready for the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration to start tomorrow!!! 🙂

CHRISTMAS GIFT BOX WITH HOME SWEET HOME!

Not a lot of time left to get everything done for Christmas.  If you still need some quick treat boxes and you have the Home Sweet Home Thinlits then I have a very speedy box for you.

christmas-treat-box-_side

christmas-treat-box-_-front

I cut 2 pieces of the house Framelits shape from the Candy Cane Lane DSP.  It was then simply adhered together by folding on the score lines and placing your adhesive on the side tab and the bottom tabs to assemble.  I used Fast Fuse for this as it is strong.  Punch 2 holes in the top section and then you can thread some Real Red Baker’s Twine to close it.

I had a left-over detailed tag in the Merry Tags Framelits cut from Red Glimmer Paper. I could then quickly stamp a ’25’in Real Red from the Merriest Wishes set and I cut that out along with a circle from Early Espresso.  These were raised up off the box with Dimensionals.

You could easily make a few of these  in no time.  They might make nice place settings at your Christmas Dinner Table.

TEAM CHRISTMAS PARTY!

Wednesday night was the last Team meeting of the year with a Christmas Party.  This is the larger Inky Fingers Team I am in with Vanessa Webb.  We are a funny bunch! 😉

Each month we get to share swaps although not everyone gets around to it.  (I know I don’t!) I think being the last meeting and our Christmas party most people made a special effort.

These are the tags I made for a swap.  I was pressed for time for anything too complicated. They are based on some tags I made recently and shared here.  These use the ‘Holly Jolly Greetings’ set and some scraps of the Candy Cane Lane DSP.  So quick to make. 🙂

These are most of the swaps I received in return.

What a fantastic selection of cards and little treat holders. (Oops! I forgot your gift bag Katie!). Look at that gorgeous Dragonfly card given to me by Vanessa.  That’s a beautiful stamps and dies set coming out soon. 😉

Here are some of the crazy Inky Fingers Team.  It is a very creative bunch of people.

I have to show you the little make and take we made.  I have been wanting to make one of these for ages but haven’t had a chance to.  Barbara surprised us all in getting us to make it.  So cute! Just the size for a little Ferrero Chocolate or a Lindt ball.  Something nice to add to a table setting or as a simple gift.

Thanks for visiting.  How are your Christmas celebrations going?  It has been a little crazy this end.  I think we are now at the end of the end of year activities and presentations, classes have finished and cards have been sent out.  Still to put up the tree and finish shopping.  I feel it is never going to end!  Never mind.  We still have a week.  🙂

Have a wonderful day and stay sane,

HOLLY, JOLLY GREETINGS TAGS!

Just a quick one for me today. I thought I would show you these really quick Christmas tags using the Holly, Jolly Greetings set.

candy-cane-tags

These were inspired by tags I saw on Pinterest.  I think the Whisper White card is cut to 5cm x 12cm (2″ x 4 3/4″) and the top punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. The snowflake is stamped in Crumb Cake with the sentiment stamped in Real Red. There are a number of combinations you could make with these stamps for your sentiments. You can see the set below.

I added some small strips of the Candy Cane DSP with some Red Glimmer Paper. This is a great way to use up some of those small scraps you have lying around. I tied around some Real Red Twine and finished them with Rhinestones.  It wouldn’t take long to whip up a number of these classy tags to dress up your gifts for Christmas.

Here is the set for you to see if you haven’t noticed it.  This is in the Annual Catalogue p 34. ($49.00 W   $35.00 C).

holly-jolly-greetings

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope your day/ night is great.
