WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #85 – REVERSIBLE CUP OF CHRISTMAS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #85 – Did you know there are reversible stamps?  That’s what we will check out in this post.  The Cup Of Christmas stamp set – which is reversible.

This is the Cup of Christmas stamp set. You can find it on p34 of the Holiday Catalogue. I love the font on the sentiments. The really clever part of this stamp set though is that the cups are reversible. You can stamp either side of the stamp.

I wasn’t sure how it would really work.  If you are like me check this video out to see it close up.

Here is a graphic taken from the Catalogue.  Pin it so you can have reference to it later.

How about some fun samples using this stamp set.  Have the cup facing either way.  How cool!

I wonder what other reversible stamps Stampin’ Up! might come up with??  We will have to see.

You can grab your Cup of Christmas set and experiment with the cups yourself.

Grab it in my store now -> HERE.

PLAYFUL PENGUINS TAGS!

I have shared some cards with the Playful Penguins lately so I thought I would show you these cute tags.  I received them as a swap at our Team Meeting last week.  This was made by Barbara.  They are just too cute not to share.

I won’t give you too many details on them.  I think they are easy to see how they are done by looking at them.  The tag shape is cut from Whisper White card and the angles cut.  You could use the Paper Trimmer or scissors.

Products used:  Playful Penguins, Jingle Bells, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Everyday Label Punch.

Colours: Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Basic Gray.

All these products are available to order in my store now -> HERE.

Please use the Host Code: 6CCRNYH6

I love sending out little Thank You cards and a small gift for your order so be sure to not mark your details as anonymous.  Australian residents only.

Also, receive a Tutorial Bundle of 12 projects as a little Thank You.

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you are going well in your part of the world.

PLAYFUL PENGUINS TRIO!

I have been sharing some cards with the Playful Penguins stamp set and I had shared these cards very briefly but thought I would share them individually with you today.

It’s a Penguin Parade for this card above.  To highlight one of the penguins I stamped the scarf in Shaded Spruce and raised that up off the card.  I love that the sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas fits nicely between the penguins.

One sole penguin but doesn’t it make it elegant with the flourish die from the Ornate Frames Dies.

This penguin is feeling hopeful under the mistletoe.  This was cut using one of the dies in the Christmas Layers Dies.  These are very versatile dies that you could use for any occasion.

Which card do you like the best?  I can’t choose.  I just think this set is the cutest.

Thanks for visiting me and seeing these cute penguins today,

Jenny

SUNDAY SUITES – MONSTER BASH!

EMBOSSED BACKGROUND WITH PLAYFUL PENGUINS!

I shared some cards with the Playful Penguins a little while ago.  This time I have a cute card for you but what I particularly want to show you is the background.

I have used the Christmas Layers Dies in the Holiday Catalogue to create this effect.

I have embossed the dies on the card rather than cutting them.

I have shared a few times how to emboss with your Dies -> HERE and -> HERE.  It’s very easy and gives you a little more versatility with them.  What a cool effect it creates!

To emboss with them you will need to change they way you layer them in your Diecut machine.  Here’s a table to help you.

Please note: the table below uses the term Big Shot.  Stampin’ Up! no longer uses the term Big Shot.  I will update this table very soon.

To finish the card the sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and cut with one of the Ornate Frames Dies.  I added a strip of the Gold Foil under the sentiment piece that I had flagged the ends. The paper is from the Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper.

For balance and for a little extra I added some of the Shaded Spruce Ribbon and cut a Gold snowflake to finish.

I do love these penguins.  How about you?? What about trying this effect on your next card.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #84 – NEW PAPER TRIMMER REVIEW!

Back with another Wednesday’s WOW!  I have just received the new Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer and wanted to share it all with you.  So today’s WOW! is a review video of the new Paper Trimmer. You can check it out below.

Just a few of the highlights of the Paper Trimmer that I see –

  • Clearly marked measurements in both Metric and Imperial on the Trimmer base not only along the top but in the middle as well as along the bottom. This will enable you to line your  card up better to see that it is straight.
  • Measurements clearly seen in the “gap” where the arm moves out from the side. Previously they were not shown so it was a little guesswork of the measurements.  For me this is a BIG PLUS!
  • A wider cutting base to cut cardstock.
  • Blades are larger which I think will enable better cutting – and hopefully longer lasting blade wear.
  • The ability to cut tiny strips of card without any problem.

The Paper Trimmer is now available for Demonstrators.  You can include that in your Starter Kit when you join Stampin’ Up! this month.  It will be available Very Soon for customers.

I will be posting here further updates but if you would like to be notified personally then drop me a comment or email and I will advise you when it is released.

In Australia it will be available for purchase for $44 AUD.  Replacement Blades will be available to order also for $21 AUD for a pack of 4.

I will tell you more when this trimmer will be available as I know.

Thanks for visiting,

Jenny
