“CREATING UP A STORM” PART 2

I can now show you some other creations from our “Claytons Convention” Weekend.  Over the weekend we had various challenges along with the Make and Takes we did.  In our “spare” time we CASED some cards too.  You do get a bit of spare time in the early hours of the morning and it is easier to copy someone else’s work then than think for yourself!!!

Here are some some other creations.

I hope you have enjoyed these creations.  We did have such fun on our weekend.  It’s so great to have found special friends that share your passion.  I will show you some other creations that I have been busy on when I come back, so stop by again soon.  I do really appreciate your visits to my blog.  Please don’t be shy and say hello.  It’s nice to know I’m not talking to myself

Until next time, Happy stamping!

“OUR UN-CONVENTION UPDATE”

Here it is Thursday and I’m just getting back to you now.  I can’t believe where this week has gone too.  I haven’t done ANY stamping, except at our team meeting last night.  But I will show you that another time!  I did spend a couple of days sorting through the photos from our fun weekend.  I will show you some now.  I realised that I didn’t take many photos of us.  I think we were too busy creating to think about us.  So I just have a few.  Some are just not for public viewing.  😉

Here is an overview:

There was lots of laughs, lots of fun, lots of food and lots and lots AND lots of Creating!!  It’s amazing how much you can create without the interruption of family.

I have some super-talented stamping buddies who showed us some awesome projects.

We stamped into the very wee hours of the morning.

We had a very yummy Awards Dinner on Saturday night (even if it was at 10pm).  Well we didn’t have lunch until 4pm!!!

We had the red towel carpet walk into our Night of Nights Awards Ceremony.  I received an award for “The Mother Hen” as I am always caring for others.  We all received the ‘Best Friend’ Award.  🙂

We had our disco (with even the flashing disco ball) – and glow sticks, after our Awards.  I think some of them left their dancing shoes home though 😉

We were still creating into Sunday afternoon, and I think we all could of stayed for another day…or two. (Wish I was still there now!!)

Here are some photos:

Bacon and Eggs for Breakfast!

Angels: Leonie and Andrea with their glowstick Halos at our Awards Dinner Dance.

Creative Chaos!!!

What else you can do with punched shapes.  What a Goober!!!

I have got lots of cards and projects that we did.  I will get back here in the next few days and show you.  So stop by again soon.

JUST CHECKING IN!!!

Hi my Friends.  We just arrived back from Cairns this evening.  We didn’t have a lot of internet access where we were staying so I couldn’t stop by and update you with what I have been doing.  We had a really lovely family time.  It was so nice to step away from the usual crazy routine and have time together.  We snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef, visited the Daintree National Park and travelled up to Kuranda on the Skyrail.   Once I get the photos sorted I might show you.  If it is not too boring for you???

I’m so looking forward to getting inky again though and hope to get stamping on the weekend.  Once I get the washing done and footy starts back and …. It starts already!!

Stop by again soon,

Jenny xx

HAPPY EASTER!!

Just wanted to stop by and wish you all a Happy and Blessed Easter.  I hope that it is surrounded by those you love.  I love Easter, not for the chocolate or Hot Cross Buns but remembering the wonderful act that Christ did for us over 2000 years ago.  I hope that you take some time to reflect on this over Easter.

Isaiah 53:5  “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities (sins); the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed”

I’m heading away on holidays now for the week.  I don’t know if I will have access to a computer during that time.  I hope you don’t miss me too much.  🙂  I will be back soon with lots more creating.  I can’t wait to get back and stamp.  I am suffering withdrawals already!!

SOME MORE CREATIONS!!!

Do you want to hear some more about our “Incentive Trip” weekend????

Firstly, let me show you the gorgeous little bags that Leonie made for us.

They were made in Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.  The card fronts were embossed in the “Elegant Bouquet” embossing folder and covered brown lunch sacks.  Another piece of card went over the top to create a flap and ribbon was attached to the top flap.  Leonie used the lovely hostess set “Because I Care” and this card piece was actually attached to the front.  Here is a close-up.  It is a bit dark though sorry.

We had a lovely lunch by the pool in the sunshine.  By the time we finished though it started raining and that was it for the rest of the weekend.  But, who cares if it rains and your inside creating!!!

Here are some of the Make and Takes we did on Saturday.

This is one that we all did by Tracey.

This is so much nicer in real life.  You can’t tell but the card front has been sprayed with shimmer mist to give it a nice gold sparkle.  Just what you want for Christmas.  The centre of the Medallion stamp has been punched out and the Old Olive centre is adhered inside.  You can see it in this next photo.

You can see a bit of sparkle there.  The gold centre is faux metal. I had been wanting to try that for a while so that was great to do.

This next card is by Erin.  It uses the “Cottage Garden” set.

This is using the new Incolors Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz and the bright and funky “Sunny Garden” DSP.  There was a bit of cutting for this but that can be very therapeutic!!!

Here is Leonie, Andrea and Tracey hard at work creating.

Tracey winning Prize patrol!!!  That is always a lot of fun!

This was my Prize Patrol gift.  Isn’t it gorgeous.  It was created by Andrea and filled with ribbon and ink refills.

Now if you stop by Andrea’s blog you know that she is very sweet and lovely.  BUT, she can be a bit cheeky!!!   🙂

Thanks for stopping by.  I have some more projects to show you next time.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!

I have just had the best weekend with a few stamping buddies.  While at the Stampin’ Up! convention in May this year a group of us who shared together decided that since the Incentive Trip was beyond us for this year then we should hold our own.

Leonie N. and I have been planning it for the past few months.  It all came together this weekend.  It was such fun!!!  Each of us shared a Make and Take, we had prize patrol, lots of special gifts and our “Night of Nights” Award Dinner.  I thought I would share some of our ventures and creating over the next few days.

Firstly, I can show you what I made for each of my lovely friends.

I used the Newsprint DSP with Melon Mambo and black cardstock. The black card measures 16.5cmx8.5cm.  I scored it on the long side at 6.5cm.  This enabled the piece to bend easily.  I punched a circle in the top part with the 1 3/8″ circle punch.  I cut a 1 3/8″ circle from melon mambo and then a scallop circle over this to cut it out.   The label was cut with the “Lots of Tags” Die and I rubbed Champagne Shimmer Paint around the edge.  I cut the letters with the alphabet die and adhered that to the tag.  The small flower from the hostess set “Punch Potpourri” was stamped in Melon Mambo and punched out with the Boho Blossoms punch. I added a gold brad and raised that up off the letter with dimensionals.  Here is a close up to see it.

This is what was waiting for the guests.  Leonie had made up some fruit punch.  Doesn’t it look exotic!!!

Here is everyone enjoying them.

Andrea gave Leonie and I these special little chocolate boxes for organising the weekend.  Aren’t they gorgeous???? I’m sure they will taste yummy too, but you won’t know that, will you!

Stop by over the next couple of days and I will show you some of the cards that we made.  Maybe I can show you some other things we got up to too!!

Awards, Personal Ramblings

A SPECIAL AWARD!!

I just found out I received a special blog award.  It is very nice to receive these.  I feel very honoured.  My very loyal blog friend Lynda passed this award on to me.  Lynda is so encouraging and always leaves her lovely comments.  Go on over and visit her blog.  She makes such lovely cards and projects.  I always love to see what she has been up to. (Don’t forget to leave her a comment, because she is always so lovely to leave comments on mine and many other blogs.  It makes your day to receive one).

Here is my wonderful award.

The other special thing about this award is that was started by my very good stamping buddy Andrea.  She is such a lovely friend and if you haven’t stopped by her blog, you have to.  She creates such beautiful cards.

Thank You Lynda for my very special award.  I am very touched.

I think I am meant to pass this on to some others but I will have to think about that one.

Thank you to you all too for stopping by my blog.  Don’t be shy to leave a comment.  It’s always nice to know you are not talking to yourself!!

I have some fun things to show you that I have been up to lately so stop by again soon. xx

DON’T YOU JUST LOVE COMPUTERS!!!

Just thought I would stop by quickly to let you know my computer has died.  It crashed 6 months ago and we managed to resuscitate it, but unfortunately I have to say it has gone forever!!!!  I am on our laptop at the moment, but I don’t have any photos or any other files.  Thankfully the lovely computer guy could recover everything and transplant the info. into our new one.  Hopefully it will be back in the next few days.  So, stop by again soon and I will be back to regular programming!!!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend and get some stamping time in.  One thing without a proper functioning computer I don’t spend so much time on here.  I’m planning on reorganising my craft space.  I need to make way for all these lovely new colours!!

See you soon.  🙂
