‘Oh Hello’  Another earlier card. I used the ‘Tea for Two’ DSP and added a Lace Doily.  The flower was coloured with Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade Markers.

P1070884

This is a card I made just today using ‘A Dozen Thoughts’.   I needed to make a card for a reply to a wedding for Glenn’s Nephew and his Partner.  I didn’t want to just email a reply.  The colour and the hearts were inspired by the Wedding Invitation.  The Background stamp is one from ‘Clockworks’.  I punched hearts out using the large Heart Punch and cut one from the Gold Foil Sheets and I punched one from Blushing Bride.  They were both embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

There are so many more fantastic sets so go and check them out now.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHEVRON PUNCH

I recently got the Chevron Border Punch from the Holiday Catalogue.  I was playing around with it to create some Christmas cards.

This card was CASED from Barb Mullikin I think??  I have used the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper.  I punched some Chevrons at the bottom of the paper and backed it with some Cherry Cobbler card.  I coloured the gifts from the set ‘Wishing You’.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Markers. I then cut them out and lifted them up using Dimensionals.  I added a little Rhinestone to the centre of the middle gift although it is a hard to see that.  The greeting from that set was inked with Cherry Cobbler ink and was cut out using the Labels Framelits.  Some Gumball Green Satin Stitched Ribbon helped break up the busy paper.

P1090839

The next card is using the Chevron Border Punch a little different.  I added 3 of the punch outs in a line pointing downwards, actually towards the greeting which just highlighted the greeting!

P1100185

This Santa is from the stamp set ‘Santa’s List’.  I don’t have this set but I used it at Leonie N’s at our last stamp day a few weeks ago.  It’s good to get together and share stamps – and ideas 🙂  You can’t see here but I added some Dazzling Diamonds with the 2-Way Glue Pen to the white trim on Santa’s coat and hat and on his beard.  It is hard to see it though.  If you click on the photo to see a larger view you might just be able to see it sparkle!

I have used a different pattern of the ‘Season of Style’ Designer Series Paper and added some Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon to finish it off.

I have seen some more great ways to use this punch on my blog travels so I look forward to playing around with this punch some more . So stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jenny

‘MERRY’ CHRISTMAS EXPRESSIONS!

I was playing around with the Expressions Thinlets the other week and created 2 cards.   This first one was CASED from Kris McIntosh.  You can see her original card here.   I just changed the colours on this to blue where she used red.

P1090832

I have used the new Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder too.  I love these colours this Christmas.  I think I have said that before today!!

For this next one I am seeking your help.  I am really not happy with this.

P1090908

I have used the lovely Designer Series Paper ‘Season of Syle’ and layered this on Old Olive and then Cherry Cobbler.  I used a strip of the new Burlap Ribbon seen in the Holiday Catalogue.  I cut the Merry from Gold Foil Sheets in the Holiday Catalogue.  That’s all OK BUT it is missing something!  I tried adding some small ornaments and played around for a bit with other things.  What do you think???  Is it missing something?  What should I add?  I would love to know your thoughts.  I will try some of your suggestions and post an updated version soon.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love your visits.

School Holidays have finished now and it is back to school tomorrow.  I can’t believe one more term left of school for the year and one more week before the HSC for Josh.  YIKES!

Take care and visit again soon,

CHRISTMAS SIDE SPRING CARD

I have had the new Stampin’ Up! Best of Christmas stamps for a couple of weeks now and only yesterday managed to get some ink on them.  Here is a side-spring card for you.  I was inspired by a swap card I received from convention using this fold and thought I would use this fold to make a different Christmas card.  You can find a tutorial to make these on Splitcoaststampers here.  They are quite easy to do once you work out the scoring and folding.

Here is the card.

P1100196

I stamped the santa on watercolour paper and coloured him using the Blender pen and inkpads.  I used Cherry Cobbler for his hat and Blushing Bride for his face.  The little holly on his hat was coloured with Old Olive.  I stamped him on the angle of the card so it would sit right when it was sitting up.  I added a little sponging, some pearls and some burlap twine.  The greeting is from the More Merry Messages.

Why not head over to Splitcoaststampers and make yourself up one of these.  They are very cute.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope all is well in your part of the world.

MINI CHRISTMAS TAGS

A couple of weeks ago just before our last team meeting I realised I hadn’t done swaps yet.  These are not compulsory but I really hadn’t done any for a few months and yet another meeting comes by and I haven’t got anything to share.  What was I going to do??? It was a couple of hours before I had to leave.  I did a quick trawl on Pinterest.  Isn’t that your ‘go to’ site!!!!  I found some little Christmas tags that inspired me. So thought I would create some little simple tags similar to the ones I saw.

Here are the ones I created.  It is not the best photo as I was just dashing out the door to leave. I gave everyone a couple of them each.  I know it is only a small token BUT it was something.   I realised I didn’t even keep any for myself though!  DOH!

P1090966

I used the Chalk Talk Framelits to cut the tags from Whisper White and Crumb Cake.  I punched out little shapes using the Merry Minis punch pack.  Did you know these were still available??? They are very cute.  I adhered these to the tags and added a Rhinestone on the ones cut from coloured card. Then I added a small greeting.  These ones are from Petite Pairs and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  I added some co-ordinating twine to finish them off.  Job done in record time.  I will just have to be a bit more organised next time.  🙂 Have a great day in your part of the world.  It’s a lovely sunny day here.  I think Summer has hit us early.

Till next time,

Jenny

BABY STARS!!

I can finally get around to showing these cards I made a few weeks ago.  I needed to make 2 baby girl cards.  One for my niece and one for a friend of Glenn’s.  So I made 2 of the same.  I pulled out my new set ‘Simply Stars’.  I even opened up Blushing Bride for the first time!!!

P1090850

I stamped the stars over the Whisper White card using Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate. I then ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  This was layered on a Blushing Bride card base.  The little handprints and the sentiment are from the set ‘Baby Prints’.  The grey button is not Stampin’ Up! I found that in my button collection and it matched perfectly.  The little Pink Button is a retired Stampin’ Up! one (I think!).

Now that I have finished them I really need to send them before the babies are One!!! LOL

It’s a lovely sunny Spring day here.  School Holidays have started so who knows what we will get up to today.  Enjoy your day,

Jenny
