It’s World Cardmaking Day (Weekend). A time for us crafters to celebrate all that we love with ink, paper and stamps. And more importantly a reminder to send out those cards to let others know they are thought of.

This shows how the Symmetrical Stems Punch works. You can create a border of stems or use the punched out stems separately on your project.

The Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper. I wouldn’t have thought to use these colours together. The colours are Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade, Night of Navy

The Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon. It is really pretty – and sparkly. 🙂

PENGUIN PLAYMATES CATALOGUE TAGS

With our last week of Sale-A-Bration this week I can’t help but show off the cute Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper. So watch out for lots of cute penguins and critters this week.

I made these tags to go out with the Catalogues at the start of Sale-A-Bration. I hadn’t shown you these yet.

Below are 3 of them to show you them closer. The tags were simply a strip of paper and punched at the top with the Fancy Tag Topper tied with some co-ordinating ribbon.

Also I added a strip of white card and punched at the top so that I could write a little note on them.

They were quick and easy to make but I hope they added a smile to those who received them.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #128 – SPARKLE WITH THE CHRISTMAS WHIMSY KIT!

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #128 – Christmas Whimsy Kit. It’s even better than it looks!

Have you noticed the new Christmas Whimsy card kit just released? I have to be honest I saw it but passed it by BUT… I just checked the video and it is WAY better than it looks in print AND it sparkles! Check the video to see what I mean.

This kit ($33 AUD) contains all you need to create 8 cards. (4 each of 2 designs).

What I discovered about this kit?

The dimension to the images. I thought they were all one layer cards.
The added stamping
Sparkly elements.

This are so cool! These 8 cards would not take long at all to assemble.

Here are the contents in the kits AND the Christmas Whimsy Stamp set.

The sentiments in this stamp set are so lovely with such a nice font. You could use this stamp set over and over on other cards once these cards are finished.

PIERCED BLOOMS CARD IN A BOX!

I forgot to show you this project.

A couple of months ago it was my Mum’s birthday. Yes a couple of months ago! We recently had to move her in to an aged card home. I didn’t know what to get her but I wanted to make a special card for her to sit on her windowsill. I thought a Card in a Box would be good.

I used the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper with the Misty Moonlight print. Blue is her favourite colour so couldn’t miss that one. I used the Pierced Blooms Dies to create an array of flowers.

This shows it folded flat.

I have made a number of these Card In A Box type cards over the years. Click on the ‘tag’ Card in a Box and you will see them. If you want a tutorial for this version you can head -> HERE. I can’t remember now if this is the one I used. This one is in Metric.

Sadly with the restrictions (which are still going …) I couldn’t see her for her birthday but I delivered it to her home. I think she liked it. I enjoyed making it for her.
