WEDNESDAY’S WOW #113 – DRESS UP YOUR ENVELOPES!

Shelli, (Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful co-founder) has stated that there should be no naked envelopes. 🙂 I’m guilty of that all the time I have to say. What about you?

I have discovered these fun products in the Holiday Catalogue to dress up our envelopes. They look really fancy. For Wednesday’s WOW! #113 – Why not dress up your envelopes with the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle.

I think these products are overlooked in the catalogue. The ornaments in the Ornamental Envelopes stamp set are gorgeous but I really wanted to focus on the Envelopes Dies.

Below is the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle.

Check out the Envelopes Dies closer though.

The Envelopes Dies consists of 12 dies. 4 Envelope liners, 1-2 decorative edges, and some other elements to diecut in to your paper liners or directly on to the envelope. It also has the dies to cut the ornaments from the stamp set too. The Largest die measures 6-3/16″ x 2-1/2″ (15.7 x 6.4 cm).

So how do you use these dies?? Check out the samples below.

On this one create a decorative wrap for your envelope. How fancy is that?? You can line inside the envelope as well.

Not just line the inside but you can make a pretty decorative liner for inside. How sweet! Or you can diecut the outside and add a liner inside of pretty paper that you can see through the edge.

For this one below I am not sure but I think that for the envelope a mask was made with one of the decorative dies and some coloured texture paste has been added through the mask. This adds to the festive feel.

If you want to dress up your envelopes with the Ornamental Envelopes Bundle or even just the Envelopes Dies you can check them out and order them in my store -> HERE

ONSTAGE @ HOME TEAM DAY!

Last weekend was the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event @ Home. It was sad not to meet together but a few from my team got together which was a lot of fun.

It was lovely of Sarah to open her home up to us and we could watch the big TV screen together with all the sessions and chat about them. There is always lots of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’. 🙂

We had a card display and I made up some gifts for my team.

Here are the little gifts. I included a Stampin’ Up! file folder with some Stampin’ Up! hand-outs, a clipboard (great for all those sessions notes), and I made up a little pack with a highlighter, sticky notes and a Stampin’ Up! magnet. These were all gifted in past Stampin’ Up! convention bags.

These were little table gifts for the tables. I made them up using some retired pillow boxes and decorated them with the new Dandy Garden suite. These are some gorgeous new products coming in the 2021 Occasions Catalogue starting in January. I thought this sentiment was good as we start out on a new Stampin’ Up! year.

Of course one needs to be hydrated at these events so I made up some bottle tags using the cute Zany Zebras.

Just some of the name tags. Sarah created these which were great!

And then you must have Prize Patrol right. We had drawings over the 2 days for some fun prizes. And that was in addition to the Stampin’ Up! giveaways over the weekend.

Some card displays with the Curvy Celebrations and the Curvy Christmas stamp set, the Dove of Hope and a few other stamp sets.

The Dandy Garden Suite. I will share closer views of the cards over the next couple of weeks and months. I think you will love this suite.

The Poinsettia Petals card samples created by Sarah.

Getting some creating going on with the Dandy Garden project. I will share those with you very soon.

Some of my JEN’s INK Team. (A socially distanced photo. 🙂 )

Recognition was announced. I was so pleased to achieve Sales and Team Building Recognition for this past year. Thank you to you all for your support and encouragement and Thank You to my wonderful team.

Thank you to you all for your support and encouragement whether you order from me or cheer for me from near and far. I appreciate you. Thanks for visiting my blog. And of course Thank You to my wonderful team.

If you would love to be a part of these fun get togethers then I would love to welcome you to my JEN’s INK team. I go on about the discount a lot but really being with Stampin’ Up! means a lot more. It’s connecting with so many “crazy” people like you who get excited about stamps and ink. You can find out more on my page HERE of 9 Reasons why you need to join the Stampin’ Up! Family.

SUNDAY SUITES – MAGIC IN THIS NIGHT SUITE!

We don’t really celebrate Halloween in Australia. There is more and more decorating and Trick or Treating over the last few years though. I don’t usually make Halloween cards. I thought it would be still good to check out the Magic In This Night Suite for Sunday Suites because there are some hidden gems that are great for other occasions.

Firstly, this is the full Magic in this Night Suite Collection. ($155 AUD)

This Collection includes:

Hallows Night Magic Cling Stamp Set
Halloween Magic Dies (10% off)
Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder
1-1/2″ (3.8 cm) Metallic Mesh Ribbon
Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper
Iridescent Pearls
Black Glitter Paper

See some of the gorgeous (or creepy) projects you can make with them.

Let’s look at the Hallows Night Magic Bundle.

Now this might be a Halloween set but check the dies. There are a number of them that can be used for any occasion like the frames and the pretty border. There is even a flower die and leaf.

You could make this table setting for any occasion.

Below we have the Magic in this Night Designer Series Paper. I love that some of these prints can be used for any occasion. The black/grey and white would make striking projects.

The colours in the papers are: Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Pretty Peacock, Whisper White.

Another fun product in this suite is the Metallic Mesh Ribbon. This ribbon is very light and adds that elegant touch to your projects. Why not wrap it around your gift boxes like in the projects below.

There are a couple of other products in this suite not to overlook.

The Black Glimmer Paper is so sparkly. I have seen some striking projects made with this for other occasions even Christmas. Sparkly black diecut Christmas trees look amazing!

Don’t miss the Iridiscent Pearls either. These would add some sparkle even in black.

What could you use for your next non-Halloween project??

Check out all the Magic In This Night Suite -> HERE.

In Australia? Contact me directly to order or you can order in my store online at the link just above. Please use the Host Code – 9J63PU4C

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #112 – ROLLING A BACKGROUND!

Wednesday’s WOW! today #112. I want to share with you how to create the lovely sponged backgrounds.

I don’t know about you but I have been enjoying creating these backgrounds a lot lately.

Here is a tip from our Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.

The great tool to use for these backgrounds is the Sponge Brayers.

To use the Sponge Brayer build up the ink on the Brayer to roll over your project. I have shared this technique in a few videos recently. You will find those on Youtube or scroll back a few posts to catch them.

One tip I tell people when rolling to collect your ink is to not roll back and forward on the inkpad. It’s a “roll and lift movement”. Roll gently over the ink pad, lift the roller and roll again gently. Keep repeating this until you get the amount of ink you want.

When rolling on to your card it’s a good idea to start off the edge of your project and roll gently onto your card. Repeat building up the ink on your inkpad and roll on your project again starting off the card. Keep building up as much colour as you like.

The Sponge Brayers come with 2 handles and 4 sponge rollers. So it’s good to have a different Sponge for a different shade of colour. You can see them in store -> HERE

For creating your backgrounds you could also use the Sponges or use the Sponge Daubers but I think the Sponge Brayers are more effective as they cover a larger area at a time.

TIP: To create your “horizon” as shown in the projects above, place a piece of paper over a section to create a lined edge before you start rolling. Then if needed change your paper around to mask the edge again from the other direction to roll. Or on these cards they have elements stamped.

The stamp set used for these projects is the Sending Sunshine set seen -> HERE.

I hope you have a go at this technique. It’s a fun one to build up your coloured background.

In Australia? If you need any products to get creating these projects please stop by my store -> HERE. Thanks for your orders. Or you can contact me directly on 0439 844574.

WARM AND TOASTY POLAR BEAR

A quick post for you today with this cute little Polar Bear. He is from the Warm and Toasty stamp set from the 2020 Holiday Catalogue. Don’t you just love his happy face. 🙂

I used the ‘Tis The Season Designer Series Paper. (This is one of the paper packs for 15% off this month so you might want to grab some of this. It has some great patterns in the pack).

The polar bear is stamped with Memento black ink on white card that has been diecut with the scallop rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. It was then coloured with the Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment stamped on Balmy Blue is also cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I love the variety of shapes in this die set.

In Australia? Any of these products can be ordered through my store or contact me directly and I will help you with your order. Visit my store -> HERE.

If ordering online please use the Host Code – 9J63PU4C

Hope you like this Polar Bear card. The Warm and Toasty stamp set is just so cute.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny
