WHALE DONE – BIG DEAL!

I have been playing with the Whale Done Bundle this past week getting ready for my Whale Done class. This Whale Done is such a cute set.

While I can’t share you the cards we are doing for class. You have to join in to see those ones I have a couple of other cards I am going to share with you.

Today’s card is very simple in design. It uses the beautiful Whale of A Time Paper. I wasn’t sure what to do with this particular print. It is such a large design. But really what more do you need. I trimmed the piece down carefully to fit the card front so as not to lose much of the print. It was then adhered to a Pretty Peacock Card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black and diecut with the Stitched Shapes Dies.

If you notice the turtle it has 2 colours on it. To get this effect, I stamped the turtle first in Granny Apple Green and then sponged lightly around the edge of the turtle with Pretty Peacock ink. It gives a cool effect. Then fussy cut with scissors. Sorry no dies for this one. 🙂

What you will get:

Learn a new technique every month. You can keep a sample each month in a book or folder so you review it later.
Attend the class free each month. Online option is available if you can’t attend.
Receive all materials needed for your class projects.
Create exclusive projects that are not seen elsewhere in my classes.
You will learn new ways of using your products.
Take your turn of receiving the Stampin’ Rewards of Free products one month with a minimum of $25 of Free products depending on the number of members. (Club benefits can only begin when the needed number of people attend).
Available in a Face-to-Face class or Online if you can’t make it.
If you can’t attend the Face-to-Face class, I will send you the kit to make them or I may make the cards and send them to you.
Join an exclusive, members only Facebook group with further information, class recap, project shares.
In addition, you will receive a 12 project Tutorial bundle containing 12 exclusive projects emailed to you following your order.

Your requirements as a Club Member:

You must commit to a 6 month membership.
Submit a minimum $50 order each month by the club date.
You must give me a back-up order before the club commences that I can use if you can’t submit an order by the due date. (eg card, ink etc). Called the ‘Oops’ order.
Online orders must be submitted by the 10^th of the month.
Guest option is available for occasional attendance to the class. Cost is $25 per class or Free with a minimum order over $50.

NATURE’S BEAUTY FOR WORLD CARDMAKING DAY 2019!

This weekend is World Cardmaking Day. A great day to celebrate what we love – to create cards and sharing them.

This weekend I am having a special class to celebrate World Cardmaking Day. It is focusing specifically on the Nature’s Beauty stamp set. We are getting together not just to make cards but to raise money for Mental Health. I will show you one of the cards we will be making but also tell you how you can help me raise money for Mental Health too, even it you can’t make the class.

For this card I stamped the fox in Memento Black and coloured them with the Stampin’ Blends; Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron. The white card was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and trimmed off a little at the top to straighten it off. The strip of paper is from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. On top of that you wrap around some Linen Thread.

The trees were stamped several times in Mint Macaron on the card mat with some stamped snow drops along the top of the card.

I am so looking forward to this fun class this weekend. BUT if you can’t make it you can support Mental Health too. Let me tell you how.

WRAPPED IN PLAID CHRISTMAS GLEAMING!

Today I wanted to show you the second card everyone got to make at the Hot Chocolate Bar Holiday Catalogue Launch. If you missed the other card head back a post.

This card is made using the Christmas Gleaming Bundle but I matched it with the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. It gives it a totally different look.

I made this card for a swap group I have been in too. I will show you the other cards I received in the swap in a later post.

So this is the card. It’s a half-fold card. That’s what I call it anyway.

The card was inspired by a card by Julie Davison. It was using a totally different stamp set and paper but I liked the idea.

To create the card, cut your card vertically in half giving you a long piece of card. Score that in half. Then I cut one section of it in half. It’s a very easy fold to do but something a little different.

I cut a length of the Wrapped in Paper and punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch. You can create it any length you like. The width though is 5cm (2″) so it can fit in the punch.

The ornament was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on white card and punched with the Gleaming Ornament Punch. It was then layered on a Cherry Cobbler circle cut with the Stitched Circles dies. The little flourishes were stamped in Shaded Spruce on the front of the card.

Here is the inside. Adhere a piece of White card inside and you will see this from the front which I stamped the holly on. The little dots are stamped in Crumb Cake around the holly.
