EYELET BLOOMS WITH THE NATURE WALK PAPER ~

When I was creating recently I wanted to create a background with the inkpads and Blending Brushes. Time was short though. So I found some patterned paper that would work still. Although I was going to use different ink colours over the card piece the blues would still look ok.

I used a piece from the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper pack and diecut it with the Eyelet Blooms Dies. I had spent a bit of time lifting the petals but I see they did flatten a little when I put the card together. I can lift some again now. I just used the Paper Piercer to do that.

I tried out the new Words and Wishes Bundle. The dies have numerous diecut words for your greetings. I will say that the words were larger than I expected. It does pay to read the labels better … But they do make a nice statement and I love how they layer together.

Another surprise was the ‘B’ separated when I diecut it out. I thought I had torn it but it is meant to be that way. I will have to check that when I do the other words.

So when you want a “varied” colour background see what paper you have that could work. Although the creative process can be fun. What do you think?

The Eyelet Blooms Die is May’s Product of the Month. You can select that with a small additional amount with your qualifying order. Check your market. In Australia it is a $9 purchase with your $125 order.

The Words and Wishes Bundle will be available in the upcoming May-September catalogue.

Have fun crafting and experiment with what you have.

STAMPIN’ UP! EYELET BLOOMS DIE IN HYDRANGEA HUE ~

My new favourite colour – Hydrangea Hue. What do you think of the colour?

I created a simple card with the Eyelet Blooms Die.

This card was inspired by Ingrid from the Product of the Month Demonstrator Council. I stepped it up a little with some ribbon and diecut a small piece for the flower and fussy cut it out. To highlight the flower I added some ink to the edges.

The edge of the diecut is easy to snip off with scissors as the flowers are partly diecut anyway. I did cut the card mat a bit bigger than the card mat size so I can trim it down to size to get the edging in the right place with enough room to add the sentiment.

A tip with using this die.

I found I needed to run the die and card through the machine twice then turned the die and card over and ran it through twice again. Then I could peel if off easily from the die. You can brush over it with the brush to help if you find you need to help take it off.

The Eyelet Blooms Die is April Product of the Month. It is a gorgeous, detailed die to add either to the front of your cards or add a small section like the card I had shared in a previous post.

You can receive the Product of the Month item when your order reaches the qualifying amount and with an additional small cost. In Australia it is $125 order and pay an additional $9. You select that when you place your order. Check your own market for the price there.
