PAINTED ILLUSIONS PAPER + WITH YOU IN MIND!

More with the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper. I kept it simple again highlighting the wavy paper and bold colours.

The Happy Birthday is from the ‘With You In Mind’ Stamp Set. I stamped it on white card (it is white…) and then diecut it with one of the Textured Notes Dies. It was wider than the width of the card so I trimmed it down. Having the edging top and bottom of that piece adds some extra detail and texture.

Take a closer look at the “flowery” shape in the circle. Rather than just simply stamping it I added extra colour. Firstly, it was inked in Granny Apple Green and then I used a dauber to add some Pretty in Peacock in areas over it. You only need a little dab of ink. Then it was diecut with one of the small circles in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Then I added some Rhinestones for the finish. You could add more to this card if you like to but I just kept it simple for the paper.

The Painted Illusions Paper is February Product of the Month.

With Product of the Month you can receive this with your qualifying order. In Australia when your order reaches $125 then you can purchase the Product for $9. There is only One per person. And While Supplies Last. Check your market for the qualifying amount.

SWEET SUNDAY WITH A PATCHWORK CARD!

Sweet Sunday with this fun Patchwork card idea. This one is created by Stampin’ Up! Artists with the True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper. You could try with any pretty paper though.

Here’s How:

You would need to cut numerous white squares. Diecutting them with one of the small squares from the Stylish Shapes Dies give you that “stitched edge” look. For a card like this you would need 16 squares. Then diecut some squares with your patterned paper. Cut the squares diagonally. Then you can position the white squares over your card mat and place the cut paper squares in position to create the patchwork look. This card would work best with a Square style card.

Try this idea out for a card. And I would love to see it too if you like.

This paper is the Product of the Month that has been out this month. There is a new exclusive product each month.

You can purchase this True Blue Florals Paper for $9 when your order reaches $125. (AUD)

STAMPIN’ UP! COTTAGE WREATHS – 3 WREATHS!

I shared in a recent post a card with the Cottage Wreaths Stamps and the Country Wreaths Dies. That was the card for visitors to make when they came along to my table at the local Doll, Bear and Craft Show. As I was sitting there I made some other cards with just what I had. This was one of them.

The paper is the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper. You can’t see the centre of the berries but I added a little sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen.

This was actually a fun card to put together. I will show you another card I made then shortly.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

KEEPING IT SIMPLE WITH WONDERFUL WORLD!

Today’s project is very simple. With fading energy levels it was enough to keep it all together for this.

With very little stamping, no colouring and just a small amount of cutting and diecutting it came together pretty quickly.

I have used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. With it’s beautiful floral images I diecut some flower images with the Stylish Shapes Dies and matted them on Starry Sky squares cut with the next size square.

The leaf is from the Wonderful World Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set.

The Wonderful World Stamp Set and the Paper is a Free choice for Sale-A-Bration with orders over $180 AUD. You won’t be sorry I can tell you.

SWEET SATURDAY – WILD AND SWEET AND OCEAN FRONT!

Today for Sweet Saturday I wanted to share a well… sweet card. With Wild and Sweet.

As I was playing with it recently I thought it would be cool to add some more “vegetation”. I looked through my stamps and found the Oceanfront stamp set.

This card was one I stepped up a little from a class card recently.

Here is the card.

I also used the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, Sunprints Designer Series Paper, Sending Smiles Stamp Set, Blossoming Happiness Dies and Stylish Shapes Dies. Of course, finishing off with Pebbles Enamel Shapes.

Hope you like this sweet card.

See what you can pair together from your own stamp sets.

THIS CARD WAS A CHALLENGE!

If you follow me along on Facebook you might have seen a discussion over this card.

I wasn’t happy with it. I thought it was the vellum. I had lots of great suggestions and have now updated the card.

I removed the vellum piece. That really wasn’t working right. I tried a diecut circle or shape but the white circle there was the largest I had. In the end I lengthened the ribbon and kept it simple.

I have used the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set. The sentiment is from Inspired Thoughts.

I thought I would share it with because even when we have been creating cards for some time and we are so-called “professionals” (kind of), we still have challenges. I haven’t even shown you many of the cards that haven’t made it out in to the world. So don’t be discouraged if sometimes your cards don’t come up the way you would like. Just keep creating and …if you are unsure always ask. People love to share their ideas.

Keep on creating,

Jenny
