Have you heard the news?? the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue will be released very soon, in fact June 3rd. Not long now. Lots of things are happening though leading up to this and I wanted to give you some important dates.

NOW – Reserve your new catalogue NOW. For those not local to me I will start having them mailed out to you so let me know if you want one. I can mail anywhere in Australia. Local customers, stay tuned when you get your hands on one.

April 21st – the retirement list is out!! Stop by next Tuesday and I will have a link for you to see all the products leaving us.

June 2nd – 2014 Catalogue ends!

June 3rd – It’s here! The 2015 Catalogue will be available from this date.

June 13th – Catalogue Launch event. Reserve the date now to join me in my studio for this fun event. You can book your seat now. More details will be out soon.

CAPTURING YOUR MEMORIES WITH ‘EVERYDAY ADVENTURES’ PROJECT LIFE!!

I don’t do a lot of Scrapbooking. If you have visited my blog for a while now you would realise that. With Project Life though I think it could be a little more manageable. I am sure you are like me and have lots of those family photos in their packets or on the computer??? Yes?? A couple of months ago I went through some of my photos and dragged out my Project Life kit – and got some more pages together. I do say it was a couple of months ago. In fact it was over the Christmas holidays but with all the excitement of Sale-A-Bration I haven’t got around to sharing them with you. So today is the day!!

On these pages I have used the ‘Everyday Adventures’ Project Life kit and the Accessory Pack.

This was quite a few years ago now (in fact 10 years!). Here is a close-up of each page.

The camera on these pages are from the set ‘Around the World’. I have also used ‘Just Sayin’ and Project Life Remember This set.

A few years on (these kids keep growing!!).

It is a special way to preserve your memories. I really must do more.

SHELTERING TREE!!

I have had a little time this week to play with this set ‘Sheltering Tree’. I have seen so many great cards with it that it was time that I joined in!

There are some cute little images in this set and it is fun to put together. This first one was inspired from these cards Here. I made this card a standard size though. This is using Strawberry Slush and Pistachio pudding inks and the card mat is Baked Brown Sugar. (I only have a few weeks left to indulge in these colours so I think I will be trying to make the most of them!!).

This next card was a fun one to make. I CASED this card off a friend but for my card I added the Delicate Designs Folder along the bottom edge giving it a little texture. I stamped the little flower stems and flower heads. These line up together so well. The flower heads were stamped alternately in Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.

I think you just have to get this set. It is such fun and there are so many different ways to use them. I will have some more play soon BUT there is less than 3 weeks to our Stampin’ Up! South Pacific Convention AND I have still yet to start swaps. I hope to over the weekend but then I have been saying that all week!!! So stay tuned on that venture 🙂

The weather has been a little ordinary the last few days BUT that means it is inside days AND that means some creating time!!!! Today I have been busy creating some Thank You gifts for some lovely people who ordered during my recent ‘Celebrate Sale-A-Bration’ event that I ran for my newsletter subscribers. These were fun to put together.

I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets dies to embellish the cello gift bags. They were filled with some of the Irresistibly Yours DSP and Sheer Perfection Vellum Sheets. I think they might like these as both of these items were sold out at the end of Sale-A-Bration so at least now they get a little sampler. 🙂

NOW I have some quick Stampin’ Up! Updates for you.

1) Don’t forget this week’s Weekly Deals. If you love your Big Shot then you will love these great discounts this week.

2) The Retirement List will be released on April 21st. That is not long AT ALL. I will add the link here on that date for you to find out what will be leaving us. It’s always sad to say farewell to our favourites but that means that it makes room for some new exciting products!!

3) With the Retirement List out we will say Farewell to the 2013-2015 Incolors. These are the colours that will be leaving us. I am a bit sad about these colours leaving. I have loved every one of them. NOW is the time to stock up on cardstock, ink refills, inkpads etc. Please don’t wait until the retirement list is out as these items are the first to sell out within the first day or 2. Grab them now! Seriously, you don’t want to be disappointed and miss out on your supplies of these colours.

I can’t believe how quickly the past few months have gone with Sale-A-Bration. There has been so many great products that are going to be sadly missed. What has been your favourite??? I have already mentioned a few of my favourites with ‘Lotus Blossom’ and ‘Big Day’. Then we had some fantastic new additions. Sadly not much time to play with them but the papers were gorgeous.

SHEER PERFECTION VELLUM!

Last post I shared a video from Stampin’ Up! colouring the new ‘Sheer Perfection’ Vellum sheets. Have you checked that video out yet??? I have been playing some more with these sheets. I love the patterns on them.

For this first card I have layered 2 of the sheets together. Underneath is the small dotty sheet with the flower sheet over the top. I layered this on Smoky Slate and the base card is Calypso Coral. The flower is from the set ‘Crazy About You’. I stamped it twice in Calypso Coral and then cut around one of the smaller flowers to layer on top. The greeting is from ‘Teeny Tiny Sentiments’. Honest opinions please – I am really not sure about this card but I thought I would show you anyway. What do you think???

I don’t often use Pear Pizzazz as a colour but I have taken to it recently. For this second card I cut out the centre from a piece creating a window using the Deco Labels Framelits then I adhered a piece of the leaf patterned vellum that that had been coloured with the Pear Pizzazz Marker. This is very easy to do but just be sure to colour ON THE BACK OF THE VELLUM. 😉 The whole piece was then adhered to a Pear Pizzazz card base. I added a few little butterflies “fluttering by” stamped from ‘Papillion Potpourri’. To colour them I picked up some ink from the inkpads with my Aquapainter. Then I wrapped around some of the Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine underneath the greeting from ‘A Dozen Thoughts’. I was much happier the way THIS one turned out.

COLOURING SHEER PERFECTION VELLUM!

You have probably seen one of the new release product choices for Sale-A-Bration – the Sheer Perfection Vellum. This is so gorgeous. I am going to focus a little on this product this week. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is.

It is 24 sheets of patterned vellum paper. You receive 2 of each design. There are 12 designs all up and the paper measures 15.2cm x 15.2cm (6″x6″) sheet. Have I said how gorgeous it is already??? It truly is.

You can leave this vellum as it is and layer it on your cards OR you can layer it over another colour cardstock for the colour to show through OR colour it with your Markers.

To show you how easy it is to colour this vellum, Stampin’ Up! have put together a very quick video of 2 cards that are a cinch!
