DRESSED TO IMPRESS SCRAP PAGE!

I don’t do a lot of memory keeping or scrapbooking but I created this page for Onstage back in November when I presented the Dressed To Impress Bundle.  I realised I hadn’t shared it with you.

This page is of my sweet girl who is now a big girl.  She LOVED dressing up.  It was her most favourite thing to do.  Everyday she would pull out the dress ups.  I made a mini album some time ago just with photos of her in her dress ups.  She had quite the style.

This is a 12″x12″ page.  I used 3 different prints from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper pack and layered them together. I added a few dies with the All Dressed Up Dies and a little stamping.  I think this suite is ideal for these type of photos don’t you think??? 🙂 Perhaps I need to make a few more pages with it.

The Dressed To Impress Bundle is carrying over in to the new catalogue but it won’t be as a bundle.  Buying it now will save you 10%.

The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper won’t be carrying over- grab that now before it goes.

See them in my store now -> HERE.

You can order there or Contact me to add your order.

Don’t forget to add the Host Code in the checkout on the store.  Host Code – WF9YsVMB

Just days left to get this month’s Tutorial too.

I actually used a different print of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper in my project.  Here is another sneak of that too.

Thanks for visiting me. Have an awesome week,

Jenny

FAMILY SCRAP PAGE WITH NATURE’S POEM PAPER!

If you have followed me for a while you would notice that I don’t do a lot of scrapbooking.  I have done a page here and there.  (If you want to see some of them then be sure to click on the tag ‘scrapbooking’ at the top and it will take you to some of the posts).

I have had this photo for a couple of years now with the idea of scrapping it.  I needed to make a page this week and thought of this photo again – and it was time to do something with it.  So … I made a scrap page. 🙂

Here it is for you.

WHAT I HAVE USED

Card and Paper: Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, Tranquil Tide cardstock, Sahara Sand cardstock, Whisper White, Vellum.

Stamps: Petal Palette.         Dies: Petals and More Thinlits, Layering Oval Thinlits, Stitched Labels Thinlits.

THE PROCESS

Choosing the photo was the easy part but working out how to put it together took a little time.  I first went through some scrapbooking page ideas I had pinned on Pinterest.  I also looked at some ideas I saved to my computer and in some magazines.  I wanted to use some of the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! paper in some way.  I had thought in strips.  I tried a few sheets of paper that I had to see what worked.  I found that this piece looked the best against the black and white photo.  I thought I might cut it in strips with some other prints from the Nature’s Poem pack but I liked this piece left as it was.

I narrowed down the stamps and the dies to the Petal Palette set and cut a few pieces from the Petals and More Thinlits and the Stitched Labels Framelits.  I played around with the positioning and then added the sentiment.  I have to say it was a fun process putting the page together and I was happy with the way it turned out.

Now don’t hold your breathe for me to scrap another page in a hurry.  😉

Thanks for visiting,

Jenny

CAPTURING YOUR MEMORIES WITH ‘EVERYDAY ADVENTURES’ PROJECT LIFE!!

I don’t do a lot of Scrapbooking.  If you have visited my blog for a while now you would realise that. With Project Life though I think it could be a little more manageable. I am sure you are like me and have lots of those family photos in their packets or on the computer??? Yes??  A couple of months ago I went through some of my photos and dragged out my Project Life kit – and got some more pages together.   I do say it was a couple of months ago.  In fact it was over the Christmas holidays but with all the excitement of Sale-A-Bration I haven’t got around to sharing them with you.  So today is the day!!

On these pages I have used the ‘Everyday Adventures’ Project Life kit and the Accessory Pack.

P1150757

This was quite a few years ago now (in fact 10 years!).  Here is a close-up of each page.

P1150760

The camera on these pages are from the set ‘Around the World’.  I have also used ‘Just Sayin’ and Project Life Remember This set.

A few years on (these kids keep growing!!).

It is a special way to preserve your memories.  I really must do more.

Thanks for indulging me today with these pages.

STAMPIN’ UP! + BECKY HIGGINS = PROJECT LIFE!!

BH_StampinUpAnnounce_041514_01

How exciting! Have you heard the news?? Stampin’ Up! and Becky Higgins have partnered together to bring you PROJECT LIFE!!! This is such a simplified system of scrapbooking.  Even I think I can handle this 🙂 The great thing too is that they will be available in Stampin’ Up! colours so they will co-ordinate with our card and ink and other embellishments.

Project Life Products will be available in the new Catalogue starting on July 1st.  (If you can’t wait until then, join Stampin’ Up! and you will be able to get your products early! I would love to welcome you to my team).  If you want to know more then head here to see what Becky Higgins herself says about this.

Here are some of the questions she answers.

Q: What types of Project Life products will Stampin’ Up! offer?

A: You’ll see Card Collections, Accessory Packs, Albums, Photo Pocket Pages, tools, other accessories, and Stamps, of course!

Q: Are the card designs the same as what we can buy in the stores?

A: Nope! We have worked with Stampin’ Up! to design all new products that are super fun and a perfect match to their existing color lines which will make coordination a breeze. Some of the Photo Pocket Page designs are the same and some are different than what we currently offer.

Q: How do I buy these products?

A: Beginning May 1st, (THIS IS IN THE US) you can purchase products directly through the Stampin’ Up! website or, better yet, you can find a local demonstrator. PICK ME! PICK ME!! HERE IS MY DEMONSTRATOR WEBSITE TO JOIN AND TO SHOP!

Q: Why order through a demonstrator?

A: Stampin’ Up! has a worldwide demonstrator base who understand their products better than anyone. Many offer in-home workshops, online parties, and local events (depending on the demonstrator and the area). The personal expertise and service make purchasing through a demonstrator a wonderful and unique experience and can also form great friendships!

Q: Where do I learn about becoming a demonstrator?

A: Visit the Stampin’ Up! website to learn more. (See the question above for more information)

Q: How do I sign up to become a demonstrator so I can sell Project Life myself and make money doing it?

A: Once you’ve decided that this is a great opportunity for you, you can sign up through their website.   Here is my link again.

Q: Are the products packaged the same as existing products (i.e. Core Kits, Mini Kits, etc.)?

A: Most Project Life by Stampin’ Up! products will be sold in Card Collections of 100 cards with 4×6, 4×4, and 3×4 card sizes included. Each card will be printed front + back as all of our current products, but you will not receive duplicates of any cards in the set. Oh – And we’re doing square (not rounded) corners on all of our cards with Stampin’ Up! Yes, there’s an awesome corner rounder punch included in the product line-up if that floats your boat. There will also be Accessory Packs available (sold separately) that will contain a variety of accessories to complement the Card Collection.

Q: Will the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! products be available in digital format?

A: They sure will! Stay tuned for more information on when those will become available.

So stay tuned here for more details as the time gets closer!!!! Excited Much!!

PLAYING WITH ‘MY DIGITAL STUDIO’

Last week I was playing around with ‘My Digital Studio’ using the Free MDS Trial. Here are a couple of pages I created.  I still have a lot to learn with these but it was fun playing around them.

Here is one with Carlie starting school.

My Project 1-001

Another page with Carlie’s great bike ride last year completing the Sydney to Gong ride.

Gong Ride

Have you had a go at the Free My Digital Studio yet?  You can download it here and have a play.

I am still in Canberra.  NSW had a great win at the Australian National Gridiron Championships.  After being down at half time 24-7 they had a fantastic second half and beat SA 36-24.  They face ACT today so hopefully another win.  Stay tuned!!!

I will be back on the weekend so I will stop by with some more projects next week.

BLUE BABY PRINTS!

Last weekend at a workshop I did (was it really nearly a week ago!!) the hostess wanted scrapbooking.  Well, if you have been following my blog I don’t do a lot of scrapbooking.  I really need to – and I would like to do more but ……………. !  Anyway, I rose to the challenge and after several attempts I created this page.

P1070686

I have used the ‘Baby Prints’ Set.  It was nice to ink that up finally.  What a cute set for Baby scrapbooking pages.  This is an 8 1/2″ x11″ page.  The colour of the card is Baja Breeze.  It looks a little green in the photo.  See the little embellishment on the BABY square.  I will give you a close-up.

P1070687

I have used the Sale-A-Bration set ‘Pretty Petites’.  (This is one of the free choices you can get for $100).  This is stamped in Pacific Point and punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch (another free Salel-A-Bration choice).  I added a Clear Faceted Button and Whisper White Twine bow. For the word “Baby” I inked up part of the text with the Pacific Point marker.

I wanted to show them how you can step-up this page to create a 12″x12″ page.  This is the finished page.

P1070732

I added a scallop edge at the top and bottom of the 8 1/2″x11″ page.  The DSP strip is from ‘Floral District’.  Check out this little tag.

P1070734

This was created with the ‘Pretty Petites’ stamp set too.  The ‘B’ is from the ‘Calendar Alphabet and Numbers’ set (retired).  I punched out a silver glimmer paper heart using the owl punch.

Now just to find a photo that fits.  I went through all Josh’s baby photos and couldn’t find one suitable.  I will have to do a bit of editing on one I think!

I hope you like this cute page.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.  Stay safe.  We have very heavy storms heading our way this weekend.

SCRAPPING OUR HAWAII SNAPS!

I have to show you these!  Sorry to go back to our Hawaii Holiday but I have just scrapped our photos!  I am pretty excited I have to say.  Now I have only done a few single-page scrap pages before so to do a whole album is a MAMMOTH achievement for me.  I don’t know what I was thinking though, seriously a whole album!!! Yep, 41 pages!! I was really pleased with the final result and thought I would show you some of the pages.  I am not going to bore you with the whole album.  If you come along to a class you can check it all out.  So, here we go~

(If you subscribe to my blog and receive this via your email, I don’t think the slideshow comes out.  If you click on it, it will take you to my blog and you can check it out there).

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Just a few tips for you that I learnt through the process if you were going to undertake such a task.

1) Keep the layouts simple.  I chose 3-4 simple layouts that I repeated throughout the album.  I looked around the internet and in books for a few ideas first of some layouts to use.

2) Keep the embellishments simple.  For an album you don’t want to have lots of embellishments and busy-ness.  It gets too complicated – and takes too long.  I chose the Naturals Designer Buttons and the Brights Brads.  I used the stamp set “Sweets For The Sweet” as well.  I used the same title settings for each page using the Big Shot and Alphabet Dies.  I used one of the Apothecary Framelits Die for my journalling tags.

3)  Choose a few colour schemes to use throughout the album to create uniformity.  I used the Polka Dot Parade DSP and added a couple of pages from the Patterns Paper Stack (Brights Collection).  It made it SO much easier.

Stampin’ Up! makes creating Scrapbooking Albums such an easier task.  It narrows the choices down so it is not so overwhelming.  Everything is available and co-ordinates from the paper, the ink and embellishments.  This helps a lot.

Would I do it again??? Not in a hurry I have to say BUT the thought of doing single pages now is not so daunting.  I think I could even handle it!  I hope to give it a go very soon.  Well, I do have a lots of photos lying around waiting to be scrapped.  So stay tuned.  I might even have some to show you – later!

I hope you enjoy a little viewing of our holiday again.

Thanks for stopping by,

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?????

It has been a couple of weeks since my last post.  Sorry about that.  I don’t like to leave it that long.  Life in our household has been a little chaotic between sickness, visits to the Medical Centre, events at school for Education Week, add to that the excitement of the Stampin’ Up! retiring list and receiving the new Catalogue this week.  Phew, so much going on!!  By now you have probably checked out all the retiring goodies.   If not, check it all out here.  There are some surprises – and they are being snapped up pretty quickly too!!!

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to say ‘FAREWELL’ to some of these.  AND if I am really organised, I might be able to show you a few sneak peeks of some new sets.

One of the saddest good-byes I think is for my “Great Friend”.  I loved this set when it came out in the Mini Catalogue and was pleased when it made it to the Catalogue.  Unfortunately I haven’t played with it as often as I would have liked.  Here is a scrap page I created some time ago.

This is a very simple page but I was pleased with it.  I’m really not a scrapper!!!!  I was happy too as it made the “Blog Finds of the Day”.  You can see the original post here.  Also on this post is a scrap page I made using the retiring set “Always”.  A retiring double bonus for you!!!

Enjoy the journey.  I will pop back again (very) soon so please stop by.

I hope your week is happy and inky 😉

YES, I SCRAPPED!!!!

Here it is the last day of May.  I don’t know if you realise it or not but May has been National Scrapbooking Month.  I really don’t scrap very much, actually very little.  I really struggle with it, but my goal was to do more scrapbooking this year.  Well, not much as happened so far.  But, since it is National Scrapbooking Month I do have some pages I can show you.   I did these a few months ago.

This is a very cute photo of Carlie when she was 3.  I don’t think you can see it very well, but she LOVED to create.  This is using the Newsprint DSP and even some of her artwork!!  I used the Big Shot to die-cut the letters for the title.

Another page.  This layout was copied from my lovely friend Brigette.

Of course,  Another one of my DD.  I have to dig out some photos of Josh to do a page on him.  He might be feeling left out!!!!

This one was using the retired Orchid Opulence but I think it really suited the colours in the photo.  I have used Cottage Garden on this and die-cut the letters again.

There you go.  Now I don’t know when I will get to do some more scrapping.  I hope too soon, but don’t hold your breath for that post!!!

Come back again soon and I will show you some cards I have been creating.  I do enjoy cardmaking so much more. 🙂
