SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE IN GREENS!

Another Spotlight on Nature card for you. This is one of the cards we created at our Extra Stamping event at Onstage back in March.

It is created with 2 of the new In Colors too. The Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash. The other green is Granny Apple Green. I do love the stamping of the leaves on the background green.

Now I do love green. It is my favourite colour BUT I needed to add an extra white card piece between some green. It was all getting lost. I think that makes it POP a little more.

For the stamped flowers position the two Granny Apple Green pieces how you would like them and then stamp the flower on both pieces at the same time while they are together. It is so much easier than trying to line it up and getting the angles of the card right.

I love with this set that you can keep it simple or step it up. It is so versatile – and so lovely!

Have you seen the Spotlight on Nature Stamp set? It comes as a Bundle with the great circle dies or you can buy each of them separately. But just remember you save 10% by getting them as a bundle.

I do hope this is one on your list though. It really is pretty.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny

SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE FOR THE BEGINNER STAMPER!

The new catalogue began this week. Woo Hoo! Have you checked it out yet?

This week I was part of the Crafty Collaborations Beginners Stamping series. It’s a large number of videos with tips for the Beginner crafter. They may even help the “well-seasoned” stamper too.

You can follow along with these videos -> HERE. Take your time and work through them. You can come back to them anytime too. AND it’s free!

It will take you through the basics of the types of stamps, inks, adhesives. Also, Cutting and scoring your cards (which I created a video for). That’s always tricky! Then goes through some simple techniques to try.

Head over and check in on it.

As part of this series there is also a number of videos with some more Simple designs. Simple stamping can be a challenge even for the more advanced stamper.

Continue on with that video series and you will find them.

I have added my video here for you to check out. This one is Cutting and Scoring your card in Metric.

I have added the Imperial Cutting and Scoring too as I know many of my followers here are from the US.

This is the project I created for my Simple stamping card.

I will add my video below here on the Simple Stamping project you can create. This simple card is above. For the Stepped Up version check below.

I created a Stepped Up version. Adding a little more texture and elements. Of course you could go way more avid but a few additions can really add to your project already.

I have used the Spotlight on Nature Stamp set.

You can see the added texture and elements here. I think a little glitter should be added to the butterfly.

So with a few steps you can take your card to the next level.

This Spotlight on Nature stamp set is really gorgeous for any level of crafter.

It does come as a Bundle too with some gorgeous shape dies great layering.

You can see it more -> HERE.

Head over and check the videos out.

Jenny

SWEET SUNDAY WITH JUST KIDDIN’

What a sweet fun set this one is. The Just Kiddin’. Great for the little kids and big at heart.

You can see with these cards above how great the paper works with the Stamp Set. They have prints to create background scenes or extra elements and Kiddies to add to your cards.

They can just be stamped on their own though too.

This is the Kiddin’ Around Bundle.

The Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper.

How great. It is so inclusive too.

And even for gift packaging.

The Kiddin’ Around Stamps and Dies will be coming back in the new Catalogue. But the Just Kiddin’ Paper will leave. Which is sad. They work so well together.

You can see it more Online -> HERE.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #161 – CREATE YOUR OWN EMBELLISHMENTS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #161 – Creating your own Embellishments.

Do you want to know a fun way of creating your own embellishments or accents? So easy. Let me show you.

Colour a piece of card with your Stampin’ Write Markers. You want to use the Markers rather than the Stampin’ Blends as you don’t want the colour to blend. It gives you the mottled, rough look.

Once you colour your card diecut it or punch it out and add it to your projects. It will give added texture to them.

See how it looks below.

This card is using the Quiet Meadow stamp set. What dies or punches could you use with this effect?

Hope you get to try it yourself.

Jenny

Two Tone flora with Blended background

FAREWELL TWO-TONE FLORA!

We say Farewell today to the Two-Tone Flora Stamps and Dies. I have LOVED these ones. Yes another 2-step stamp set. Maybe that’s way. But the colouring you can get with these stamps are so lovely. And the dies… Well what about they detailed background die. So gorgeous and delicate.

Let’s see some past projects.

This one below a piece of white card was blended with Gorgeous Grape ink with it darker at the bottom and lighter at the top. Then the detailed Diecut was added over the top. It creates a soft, subtle background.

Two Tone flora with Blended background

On this one below I diecut the detailed die and then added it to the back of a rectangle diecut frame. Any overhanging edges of the detailed diecut was trimmed off.

Simple flowers and leaves with the white card diecut with one of the Elegant Borders Dies. These border dies are available as an Online Exclusives set and can often be missed. There are 4 in the set and each one is lovely.

Both the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set and the Dies are reduced at 50% off. Crazy!

The Two-Tone Flora Stamps are reduced to $20.50. See them -> HERE.

The Two-Tone Flora Dies are reduced to $34.00. See them -> HERE.

If you need any assistance in your creating or need to order. Head to my store at the links above or Contact me directly.

FAREWELL COLOR AND CONTOUR!

The Color and Contour Stamp Set has been one of my favourite stamp set. I have had lots of fun with it over the past 2-3 years since it has been around.

I’m sad to see it go BUT it makes way for some other lovely stamps.

Let’s have a little reminiscing of some of the projects I have created with it.

This is a gorgeous set. It’s a 2 Step set which makes it easy to add the “fill-in” image to colour it. I like that option. You can colour it with your Stampin’ Blends or Pencils though.

Do you want to grab this one? If you do you need to be quick.

The stamp set is reduced to $22.20 AUD. Which is awesome! There are the Scalloped Contours Dies but they are not available now.

If you need to shop for these or any other of the Last Chance Products. Be quick but head to my store now -> HERE. Please use the Host Code: RWTF7DW9 OR Contact me directly.

Happy Crafting,

PLANTED PARADISE – PLANTS YOU WON’T KILL!!

I don’t have a Green Thumb. I love plants. I admire them BUT I forget to water them and I don’t know all the nutrients they need. I do like this Planted Paradise stamp set though. I can create cards with lovely potted plants and not worry about killing them.

This card was one I made for a class last week. It was a ‘Thoughts of You’ Class. It’s nice to send out Thinking of You cards to let others know you care.

The paper is from the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper pack.

It’s a simple card. Having the loop of ribbon between the white circle and the Copper Clay Circle. It just adds a little variation. Ribbon is great for added texture too. The white card is embossed with one of the Basics Embossing Folder packs.

If you are local why not come and join us at class sometime. We would love to have you along. Look out for upcoming classes or contact me and I can let you know. Most of my classes are available By Mail option too and you can make them at home in your own time.

Have a great day,

Jenny

cards, Stampin' Up!, Sunday Suites

SUITE SUNDAY – FLOWERING ZINNIAS SUITE!

Today for Sunday Suites let’s look at the gorgeous Flowering Zinnia Suite. I have mentioned it briefly but we just have to look at it closely because there is so much to love.

This suite with it’s bold colours and flowers is a bit reminiscent of the groovy 70’s. The Flowering Zinnias Suite Collection includes:

  • The Simply Zinnia Bundle (stamps and dies)
  • The Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder
  • The Flowering Zinnias 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper
  • Adhesive- Backed Shiny Sequins (200 sequins in Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.
Flowering Suite Collection

The Simply Zinnia Bundle. At present the stamp set is unavailable but it will be back soon.

The Flowering Zinnias Designer Series Paper. The colours found in this paper are Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red.

The Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder is a large on at 15.2cm x 15.9cm or 6″ x 6-1/4″. It has beautiful images of Zinnia flowers which would create great backgrounds or try some different techniques.

Here are some pretty samples.

The Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins – They are shiny and sparkly.

There are 200 adhesive-backed pieces in 4 mm and 5 mm sizes. The colours are Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie.

Let’s have a closer look at them. I wasn’t sure about this leafy paper. It has quite bold, heavy leaves. It can create a great background though.

You can see the backround created with the embossing folder. The flower is created with the dies. You can use them alone or diecutting the images.

Some simple prettinest with the stamped and diecut Zinnias and coloured lightly.

Some of these items are not available at the moment. BUT they will be coming soon so keep these in mind to check back very soon.

You can see the full suite in my store -> HERE. You can check the individual items of this suite by typing in the search button at the top of that website.

STAMPIN’ UP! ONSTAGE NEWS

It’s been a big week. For my Demonstrator friends who went to Onstage you know that feeling… But how great to be together and sharing again. I have come away feeling inspired. My heart is full and my head is overflowing with ideas.

I’m just sharing a few picks from our Onstage Melbourne event. There were so many great moments really but there is not enough time for it all. You might have caught some of the news on my Facebook page.

Anyway, let’s get to it.

From the Convention Centre, Melbourne.

On the board for Anniversary Milestone – 15 Years. It was fun to pick out the names. I was recognised for Sales, Recruiting and Leadership too. I will say I was happy about that. It was a hard year.

The new Catalogue. (If you want a catalogue sent out to you do let me know- Australia only).

Do you remember Lovely As a Tree. I still have that actually. There are not many stamp sets I keep but I have kept this one. It was my first set. This one is it’s cousin. Loveliest Tree. So beautiful. Yes it has gone on my preorder. Watch out. 🙂

I wasn’t sure about this suite with the Shopping Trolley and gifts BUT I absolutely love these creations. Just incredible and gorgeous. Maybe it does need to go on my list.

Sara and Dave Presentation. What a laugh. Poor Sara lost it a few times. And Dave had his “cool dude” Tatoo Sleeves on. It was such a fun presentation to end our time.

We had an Onstage + Room with special treats. It was lovely. And it was nice to chat with Sara.

Onstage + Lounge. A little indulgence for Leaders.

With Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream that you could choose your toppings. (I will say super sweet with all that chocolate. But I guess I did get Double Dipped Chocolate).

Another time it was Chocolate and Strawberries.

After the Recognition night it was time to party with the Silent Disco. Not so silent though with the singing BUT that’s ok. It was so fun!

There was a Product Playground to see some new products. I loved the Colour Palette Walls. You had cardstock pieces and could add a Colour Combination to the wall with Glue Dots. I did take photos of all the panels and will have to go through them all to see the combinations.

It was nice to share it all with 4 of my team, JEN’s INKer’s. There were lots of laughs and fun along the way.

Thanks for indulging me in sharing these.

I will share more of swaps shortly. So many beautiful creations and I will share mine too so be sure to stop on by again soon.

Jenny
