STAMPIN’ UP! TWO-TONE SUNFLOWERS ~

I have been playing a lot with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder and experimenting with the Two-Tone cardstock. So I put them together.

Here are 2 cards that I created. Some nice sunshine-y yellow to brighten your day.

For this one below I cut a piece of the Daffodil Delight Two-Tone Cardstock just slightly smaller than the front of the card. Then I cut the piece in half and flipped one half. I put the pieces together in the Embossing Folder and embossed them. I lightly sanded the embossed cardstock to reveal the white. I adhered them to the front of a white Card Base and added a simple sentiment.

We made this card recently in my local class playing with the Two-Tone Cardstock. If you are a Wollongong local I would love you to join in our classes each month. Contact me to find out more about them.

On this one below I cut a piece of the Two-Tone Daffodil Delight and embossed that. I lightly sanded the piece and added it to a white card Base. The sentiment heat embossed in white on black card and the Granny Apple Green leaf gives a ‘POP’ to the card.

You could do this in many other colours too. Hope you get to try it out.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny

A “NOEL” CHRISTMAS WITH PEACEFUL GARDEN PAPER!

My first Christmas card for the season. I don’t know about you but I’m not quite feeling the festive spirit yet. It still seems so early. But then we need to get on to them soon to get our cards made ready.

New products always help to freshen up the cards. This is one with some great new products from the 2025 Holiday Catalogue.

I have created this with the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper. I wanted to use the dove pattern but to use a whole piece meant cutting in to some of the doves. So I cut a section and added that to the centre and have 2 strips of another pattern on either side.

The Card Base is Pecan Pie and I used Pool Party for the card mat and the “Noel”.

For the “Noel” I embossed and diecut it with the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder. I like this folder and die set. I just used a small piece of card just larger than the word rather than use a large piece.

This is the Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper.

Let’s see what else we can create with this great new products.

SUNFLOWERS EMBOSSING FOLDER WITH THE NESTS OF WINTER PAPER!

More with the Sunflowers Embossing Folder.

This time embossing on some patterned paper. You can try any but I have used the Nests of Winter Paper with a wood-grain look.

It gives a rustic look with this paper. I was wondering now if I should have distressed the edges of the paper to give it a more rustic look??

The Sunflowers were coloured with the Ink Pads and Daubers and the sentiment from the Bright Borders Stamp Set. Which I see is on the Last Chance lists … I diecut this with one of the Mixed Labels Dies. Another one on the list … Be quick if you want to grab these ones.

Have you got the Sunflowers Embossing Folder yet?? It is so versatile and I have to say really fun to work with.

PUZZLE SLIDER FUN FOLD CARD + VIDEO!

Have you seen the Puzzle Slider Fun Fold Cards? I saw them recently and just had to create one myself. The one I saw was created by Sue Stampfield.

I couldn’t find one in Metric measurements so I worked in inches. I adjusted those measurements and then worked out the Metric for my lovely crafters who prefer centimetres.

I put together a video for you. I used the Florals in Blooms Paper but you can use whatever you have. It’s a cool card. Even if you don’t like to do puzzles I think you will like to create one of these.

Here is the Video for you. The card is shown further below.

This is the card I had created earlier.

Don’t forget the inside.

Follow along with the video.

The Written Tutorial will be sent out for my Newsletter Subscribers next week. Are you a subscriber? I send out a project Tutorial each week. You can head to the Side Bar on my blog and click on the tab.

HIDDEN GEMS – JOLLY HOLLY BUNDLE!

It’s Hidden Gems Day. Sometimes products get lost with the Online Exclusives. Today let’s check out the Jolly Holly Bundle.

The Bundle includes the Jolly Holly Stamp Set and Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.

The Stamp Set has very versatile sentiments that you can use together or on their own in different fonts. And it has cute simple Christmas images.

I particularly like the Hybrid Embossing Folder though. The Embossing Folder can add a textured background to your Christmas projects. BUT what about the dies to use with it. The large die cuts the Holly leaves out giving a partial Pop-Up effect.

You can see the Jolly Holly Bundle more -> HERE.

Let’s see what you can do with it.

You can see how it partially cuts the leaves in the photo above. The ones below shows the embossed effect. You can colour the Holly leaves or using the Two-Tone cardstock rub over it with a light sanding block.

Back with Sunday Suites today. Let’s look at this lovely, lovely Floral Impressions Suite.

This one is a new one released as an Online Exclusives. You have bright, cheery florals in the paper and great flower stamp images that can layer together to give detail to the flowers. Dies are available to diecut the flowers with additional leaves and oval frames. There are also extra elements to decorate your projects.

This is the Floral Impressions Suite Collection.

This suite includes:

  • Impressions Abloom Bundle (stamps and dies)
  • Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder 15.2cm x 15.9cm (6″x 6 1/4″)
  • Floral Impressions 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper
  • Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems
  • Foiled Frames and Labels Ephemera Pack

This is the Impressions Abloom Bundle. This is a 2-Step Stamp Set. There are flower dies to diecut the stamped flowers but also there are “centre lines” to diecut within the flowers to create an etched or indented look. If you can describe it like that.

The Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. Look at those bright colours. It is 12″x12″. 2 each of 6 Double sided designs. The colours in this paper are: Crushed Curry, Darling Duckling, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Peach Pie, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush

The Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder 15.2cm x 15.9cm (6″x 6 1/4″). It’s a large one so keep that in mind.

The Foiled Frames and Labels Ephemera Pack. This is a nice addition to a suite. They gold border edges to the frames. These give a touch of elegance to your projects. There are 6 sheets in total: 2 each of 3 designs. The Sheet size measures 12.7cm x 17.8cm 5″ x 7″. So that gives you some ideas of the size. Check the samples below to see how to use.

So now you really want to see how these all look on a project. Check these out created by Stampin’ Up! Artists.

You can see the detail with the Embossing Folder on this one below. Also I love the etching you get within the flowers created when cutting with the dies.

You can see how the frame and the embossing folder comes out on the card below.

What do you think of this suite? Yes there have been flower suites but I think the bright colours in the paper and being a 2 Step floral images is very pretty. I love the “etched” lines you can create within the flowers too.
