SUNDAY SUITES – SEASON OF GREEN AND GOLD

Sunday Suites. We need to have a look at this gorgeous new Season of Green and Gold Suite.

I mean I’m a green fan so of course I’m going to like it but the leafy green colours are beautiful.

This Suite was just released as part of the new offerings for the Online Exclusives.

This is the Season of Green Suite Collection. There are lots of loveliness in this suite.

The Suite includes:

  • Greetings of the Season Bundle
  • Golden Greenery Bundle
  • Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon – 9.1m (10 yards) and is 1.9cm (3/4″) wide

There are 2 different bundles. You can choose them both or only one of them.

The Golden Greenery Bundle. I particularly like the foliage dies.

The Greetings of the Season Bundle. This one is so versatile. I love the dies in this bundle.

But this paper…

The Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.

It comes in 12 12″x12″ sheets. 2 of 6 patterns. It has green patterns with glistening gold accents. You really have to see it. The colours in this paper are Garden Green, gold, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla.

There is also the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper.

It comes in 6 12″x12″ sheets. 2 each of 3 single sided designs. The printed foliage patterns can be used as a layering piece on cards and tags.

Product colours: Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, white.

I have just got hold of some of these lovelies and while I start creating with it let’s check some of the projects that Stampin’ Up! have created with this gorgeous suite.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #163 – TRY A WATERCOLOUR WASH ON YOUR IMAGES

Wednesday’s WOW! #163 – A Watercolour Wash on your images.

You might have tried Watercolour Washing over your card to create a background, but have you tried giving your stamped images a wash? It creates a really soft look.

Stamp your image on to Watercolour Paper. This one uses the Painted Lavender stamp set. Spritz over the image lightly with water. Allow to dry for a short time. Then stamp over the washed area again with the same image. You will get a mottled look with a wash in the background. It looks really lovely.

Sunday Suites today. Let’s take a moment and look at this beautiful Thoughtful Journey Suite.

The Thoughtful Wishes stamp set is a cling mount set containing 10 stamps. It was inspired by Million Sales Achiever Laurie Krauss. The Thoughtful Wishes Dies contain 11 dies. Use the dies to cut out the thistle and greenery stamps for a focal point on your cards. Or die cut the smaller foliage to create a layered background behind the sentiments. You don’t need a lot more to add to your projects.

The Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper has such beautiful Watercolour prints in flowery and field prints. It contains 48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

SWEET SUNDAY WITH HEARTS AND HUGS!

You might have seen the cute Hearts and Hugs Bundle around? It’s a sweet one. So today – let’s check it out for Sweet Sunday.

This one is a bright, cheery, heart flower hug for you. (That’s a mouthful isn’t it!).

This card is created by Stampin’ Up! Artists but there are some features I just love – and it might inspire you with some ideas for your next project.

  • Use a mini heart punch to create flowers. Add some additional flowers and leaves too.
  • On the white card sponge a little ink to create a background.
  • Instead of just a card mat to lay your feature piece on, cut strips of card and emboss them before adding the pieces evenly on your card base. And give those edges a little sponge to help highlight them.

FLOWERS OF BEAUTY SPARKLE!

I shared a post recently of a card I CASED from the Annual Catalogue. Head back 2-3 posts back on my blog if you missed it. I thought I would share more of the card here now.

This is the card created copying one from page 53 of the Annual Catalogue.

I have used the Flowers of Beauty Stamps and Dies. I diecut the leafy stem from the Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper which adds a lovely sparkle. You can see that below.

The small flowers were diecut with one of the dies and then some Pretty in Pink Ink dabbed on the edges of the petals.

Don’t forget to use your Catalogue for inspiration when you are stuck. It is a great resource that we overlook.

Wildflower Designs Bundle. Have you noticed this one?

I’m loving the dies and how they layer together. Check these cards out. (Created by Stampin’ Up! Artists)

This is a great way of showing off the pretty papers. Make it a star within the diecuts. The papers are the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper.

Or this one, Diecutting the paper this time and layering them over the card as a background. This is a great way instead of just adding a piece of paper as a card mat.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! 162 – USE YOUR CATALOGUE FOR INSPIRATION ~

Wednesday’s WOW! #162 – Use Your Catalogue for Inspiration.

Do you struggle with creating sometimes?

You can find so much inspiration with the projects in the catalogue.

  • Copy them as they are.
  • Give them a twist in direction.
  • Change the colours.
  • Use a different stamp set or other products.

I was looking for ideas for the Unbounded Beauty Suite and came across this card on page 53 of the catalogue. Then changed it a little for my card.

I created a larger frame and added a sparkly leaf spray with the In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper. I used a piece of the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper for the mat behind the white card. The sentiment is from the Simply Said Stamp set.

So next time you are stuck with inspiration, pull out your catalogue.
