SWEET SUNDAY – WISHES ALL AROUND!

It’s not just one card for this Sweet Sunday. It’s the whole bundle. The Wishes All Around Bundle.

I think this bundle is so fun with the circles of trees and snowflakes. We don’t often make cards with snowflakes here in Australia. It’s too hot and sunny for that at Christmas. But the trees are very cool!

Let’s see them.

This one is stamping the trees twice. Once in Garden Green on Soft Seafoam and again in Garden Green on Garden Green. Then layer them together and add a little of the foliage. But how quick is it with the Brushed Gold Cards and Envelopes.

This is another one with the trees. Stamped in Bubble Bath and then again in Moody Mauve. The Moody Mauve trees are snipped out and layered on to the Bubble Bath ones. Oh! And check out the background. There Bubble Bath Ink has been swiped over the card base.

Here is another card so you can see the circle of snowflakes.

This is the Wishes All Around Bundle (stamps and dies).

You can see them more in my store -> HERE.

ABUNDANT BEAUTY SNOWFLAKES WITH SENDING CHEER BUNDLE

This card is using one of the other masks in the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. While there is the set of masks to build up the Sunflower there is also the snowflake mask, the leaves and the Argyle pattern mask.

For this one I have used the snowflake mask.

The snowflakes were ink blended with Balmy Blue ink and then a touch of Night of Navy ink added on parts of the snowflake.

I used the Sending Cheer Bundle with it. It’s hard to tell but the bow on the gift is heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder for some shine. I have used the Nested Essentials Dies for the banner.

If you are wondering about the blue strip. That is from the Textured Shimmer Paper pack. It has a subtle shine. It’s a shame you can’t see it.

We made this one for one of the cards in my classes recently. If you are a Wollongong local we would love you to join us. They are lots of fun. Send me a message and I can send you the details for our upcoming classes. If you are not local you can grab the Class Kits by Mail.

This is the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks if you haven’t noticed them yet.

You can find them in my store -> HERE.

I hope you get them and have a play with them. They are so fun.

ABUNDANT BEAUTY – A HAPPY ACCIDENT!

This card came about by a Happy Accident.

When I was creating an earlier card I diecut a square from a piece of white card with the Stylish Shapes Dies. There was still some white on the scrap piece that I could do something with later. You save bits like that right??

When I made one of the Sunflower cards recently I grabbed it to stamp my sentiment on.

BUT I thought hang on a minute – that would make a great frame! So I sponged some more Sunflowers with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, cut them out and added them to the frame. How good was it that I actually centred the words on it though too.

Here is the card.

Here it is side on to get a closer look.

The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks has layers that you can build up your flower adding ink or texture paste or even heat embossing. It creates such a great effect.

The paper is from the Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set.

Do you have “happy accidents”?

SUNFLOWERS WITH THE STAMPIN’ UP! ABUNDANT BEAUTY MASKS

Can you believe it? This was my first time at using masks of any time. And I do love how you create the layering Sunflowers from the Abundant Beauty Masks.

The colours I used was Daffodil Delight first on the flowers and then a little Pumpkin Pie in the middle of the flowers. I used Pecan Pie for the centre and then Pecan Pie for the detailed area in the centre. The leaves were with Garden Green.

I was inspired by Patty Bennett to emboss the card with an embossing folder after sponging. This one uses the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

The paper strip behind the stamped image is from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings.

This is one of the cards we were making in class today.

I have had lots of play with these masks so I will show you more soon.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW #154 – GETTING A CRISP STAMPING

Wednesday’s WOW! #154 – How to get a crisp stamping with Photopolymer stamps.

Sometimes when you stamp with Photopolymer stamps you don’t get the crisp stamping result that you would like. Do you find that?

I have particularly recently BUT I have a couple of tips for you to be sure to get a better stamping.

Firstly when stamping give your Photopolymer stamps a clean with the Stampin’ Mist and Scrub. This will remove some of the residue from production. You could use an eraser too.

Then when you stamp be sure to have something underneath your card. The Piercing Mat or even a catalogue. It will give you a little “bounce” and your stamped image should be much more crisper.

Did you find that helpful?

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

TRADITIONAL RED AND GREEN WITH MERRIEST TREES BUNDLE!

Are you Red and Green for Christmas?

This one is typical Red and Green and I have used the Stampin’ Up! Merriest Trees Bundle.

That background paper is the Joy Of Christmas Paper.

The tree was stamped in Granny Apple Green and the “branches” were stamped in Shaded Spruce.

The + on the gift I ended up colouring with a Real Red marker as I wasn’t sure that I could line that up so well.

The Merriest Trees Bundle is available in the 2023 September-December Mini Catalogue and is available to order now.

STAMPIN’ UP! JOY TO YOU WITH COTTAGE WREATHS FOR CHRISTMAS!

This was one of the cards we made at last week’s Christmas Crafternoon event. It needed it to be kept fairly simple with so many people attending and many new to stamping too.

It uses the Joy To You Stamp Set and the Cottage Wreaths set. Along with the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

To streamline the process I diecut the white piece using the Nested Essentials Dies and diecut the red bow from the Country Wreaths Dies.

Everyone enjoyed the creating even those who had never done it before. So that is always exciting to see.

We are doing the Christmas Crafternoon again on October 15th so if you are local drop me a message and I can send you the details.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny
