Wednesday’s WOW! #118. You might have heard about some new White card that Stampin’ Up! has. Today let’s check it out closer to see how the Basic White compares to the previous Whisper White.
Sadly the previous Whisper White card and other products ended. So a frantic dash was made to source a new card. It was important that the new White card performed to the expectations that we as crafters need for all the stamping and techniques we do.
The new Basic White card seems to have passed the quality tests and it is now available in cardstock and envelopes and great to use for all your stamping, great for colouring with the Stampin’ Blends and for many of the Techniques you love to do.
I don’t need to say too much more about it as you can check out how it performs and with a little more explanation in the video -> HERE.
If you need some new White cardstock it is now available in my store.
Have you seen the lovely Flower and Field Designer Series Paper?? One side has some great flower patterns and the other side has more plain prints.
For the card I am sharing today I have used 2 of the papers. I love how they work together. And, the card is oh so easy to put together!
The flowers were fussy cut from one of the prints and I love how it contrasted so well with the stripey print. I added the Vellum rectangle, cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, to help highlight the flowers so they don’t get so lost among the stripes. A simple sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set and cut with the Messages Die.
You can grab this Flower and Field Designer Series Paper Free with your orders over $90 for Sale-A-Bration. Or choose any of the other sets. Less than 2 weeks left!

Friday Flicks.I have a fun card for you in today’s video. This video is a replay from my Facebook Live on Wednesday. I created a Pop Out Swing Card with the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. I have made a few of these over the years and I love making them. It has been a while so thought I would pull it out again and freshen it up.
Here is the card for you first.
Check it out on the video. (If you are receiving this via email then the video may not show. Head to the blog post by clicking on the title above or head to Youtube).
It is now also uploaded to Youtube -> HERE. (Have you subscribed to my Youtube channel yet. I’m shooting for 200 subscribers by the end of the month so head on over there) 🙂
MAKE YOUR OWN POP OUT SWING CARD
The video will show you the details. I will give you general details and measurements below.
Base card is a standard size card. Designer Series paper is 4mm (1/8″) smaller. I used the Balmy Blue pattern in the Subtles pack New demonstrators receive free in Sale-A-Bration. (They will receive a pack from each Colour Collection. 200 6″x6″ in total valued at $100)
I used the Layering Squares Dies for the window cut-out. You can use a circle or rectangle also if you wish.
The inside White card measures. 15.2cm x 12.8cm (6″ x 5″). Score at 5cm and 10cm. (2″ and 4″). Adhere to the inside of the card with the white card in the folded position. ONLY place adhesive on the back of the right hand section. Centre it inside the card to the right and at the top and bottom. Close up the card and adhere the square panel in through the window to adhere to the white bi-folded card. Only place adhesive on the back on the right hand section.

I’m loving the paper for Sale-A-Bration. Are you??
Today’s card uses the lovely Flower and Field Designer Series Paper. It can seem dark and heavy but the trick is to use small pieces – and to add some pops of colour. For this card I added some Daffodil Delight and have a Granny Apple Green card base.
I used the Daisy print for this one and added some daisies with the Medium Daisy Punch. I saw that idea on a card on Pinterest. It never occurred to me to use that before with the paper. The sentiment is from the So Sentimental stamp set and diecut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die.
Less than 3 weeks left for Sale-A-Bration. Don’t miss out. Check all the pretty papers and choices -> HERE

Sweet Sunday Stamping – looking at some sweet stamps and bundles that are cute – or sweet!
Today I wanted to share about the Lots of Hearts Bundle. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day all that much here and I think people dismiss this sweet. But take a closer look. This is not just for Valentine’s Day.
The Many Hearts Dies have some sweet hearts but there are some cute dies to add a border on your projects. And don’t we need to send some more cards with these sayings.
See the background with the XOXO. That’s fun! You could use those off-cuts in a shaker card.
I love the dotted heart pattern that the die makes on your card.
Available in my store now -> HERE. Grab them and send a friend a little “heart” to let them know you are thinking of them.
If ordering online please use the Host Code: DMT9KWPQ

The Lots of Heart Bundle is $83.70 (AUD). Add in some adhesive or a pack of cardstock to reach $90 and then pick your Sale-A-Bration choice. Too easy! 🙂
There are some cute chicks on the block. Well that’s what we are going to look at for Wednesday’s WOW! #117 –Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick.
Aren’t they just the cutest?? You just have to smile.
The Hey Chick stamp set was available a few years ago. Stampin’ Up! has brought them back – and with co-ordinating dies. How exciting! Also is the Hey Birthday Chick with some more cute chicks and some dies for that. You can get the one or both. Mix them up to make some fun card.
Check out some creations with them. I will share more with you soon.
Another card with you using the A Touch of Ink stamp set. This card is one we made at class a couple of weeks ago. It was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I didn’t save the actual card so I can’t remember the original creator. I changed it up a little.
With the A Touch Of Ink stamp set I love that it is a 2-step stamp set. You can colour the line art images but you have the great option of using the solid image stamps to “fill” the images.
For this card stamp the leaves on white card with Just Jade and use the Soft Sea Foam to colour the leaves with the solid leaf stamp. I ran the white card through the Subtles Embossing Folder and wrapped around some White Baker’s Twine.
For the hummingbird, stamp in Memento Black. To colour it I inked up the solid stamp with Flirty Flamingo. Before stamping I used the Daubers or you can use a sponge to lightly add ink on the edges. On the top I inked with Poppy Parade. Along the bottom edge of the bird I inked with Pumpkin Pie. Then stamp on to the white diecut circle. If you find the Flirty Flamingo too dark then before inking the edges lightly stamp off the bird on to scrap paper.
The sentiment on this is heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder and diecut with the Messages Die.
I don’t want you missing out on this gorgeous A Touch of Ink stamp set. It’s only available for one more month. This is a Level 2 Sale-A-Bration choice. When you order over $180 you can choose this set.

Today’s card I have used the gorgeous A Touch Of Ink Stamp set. I think the flowers team well with the Art Gallery Designer Series Paper.
I wasn’t sure about this card. I kept coming back and stamping more on it and adding a ribbon knot. I even asked on my Facebook page the other day for what people thought showing the 2 different options without the knot and then with the knot.
So now I have updated the card. It was suggested to move the knot down and I trimmed the tails of the knot. So here is the final card. I am much happier with it now. Sometimes we all need to ask for ideas and suggestions. I know I always second guess myself.
The flowers from A Touch Of Ink stamp set were stamped down the side of the white card and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends. I added some of the gorgeous Art Gallery Paper and some Art Gallery Ribbon. I added the knot of ribbon as it seemed to miss something.

Back with our Friday Flick. Today’s card is using the A Touch Of Ink stamp set. I so love this set.
The card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I just saw the idea as I was scrolling through and realised I didn’t save it.
I’m using the Oh So Ombré paper with it. I love that you can get an ombré effect without all the sponging and inking. And I love the colours too.
Check the video out below. (It is also now on Youtube). If you are receiving this blog post via email update the video may not show so head to my blog by clicking on the title above to take you to the post.

I had seen some gorgeous cards around with a watercoloured effect with the Hummingbird from A Touch of Ink stamp set. I wanted to have a go. I have to say mine didn’t turn out quite like the ones I had seen.
It’s created by heat embossing the images with White Embossing Powder. I used the Shimmery White card for the sparkle in the card. Once it has cooled then watercolour the images using the Water Painters and inkpads. To do this you can create a “well” of ink in the ink pad lid or I dabbed some ink on to a clear block and picked up the ink off that You can build up the colour as you go.
I like the effect. Maybe not the execution of my card. 🙂
I do love the effect of the edge of the card with the Stitched with Whimsy die.
Check that paper out though. That is the Highland Heather print in the Subtles pack you receive when you join Stampin’ Up! during Sale-A-Bration. There are some very cool patterns in the packs. And you receive every colour collection plus 2020-2022 Incolors. That’s 200 6″x6″ papers!
