STRIPS WITH THE SPLENDID DAY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER!

This card is a great way of showing both sides of the lovely Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper. It would work well with any paper. Do you find it hard to choose which side to use sometimes??

I have also used the Go To Greetings Stamp Set for the sentiment. They really are my “go-to” sentiment set at the moment. This is punched out with the Double Oval Punch. I added some diecut leaves from the Splendid Stems Dies.

Now for the measurements to make your own. You can show off both sides of paper or it’s a great way of using up scrap pieces.

STRIPS WITH DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Card base 21cm x 14.8cm Scored at 10.5cm

8 ½” x 5 ½” Scored at 4 ¼”

Fresh Freesia card mat 9.9cm x 14.2cm 4” x 5 ¼”

White card 9.5cm x 13.8cm 3 ¾” x 4 7/8”

DSP pieces @2 4.4cm x 13.2cm Cut at 5cm

1 5/8” x 4 ½” Cut at 2”

Lay out the pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) on to the front of the white card. With a short piece then a long piece next to it. Then below these, a long piece with short piece next to it. It doesn’t matter which order though.

Flip the 2 small DSP pieces over to show the other side. Adhere these to the white card.

Then assemble the card on to the card mat and on to the card base. Add your sentiment or embellishments as you like.

With the Picture This Dies I added some different pieces of pretty Happiness of Hues Paper and also added texture with some co-ordinating card embossed with different folders (Bark 3D, Splatters and the Gingham Folders)

I like the fun, bright colours in this card. And that hippo … You can’t help but smile when you see him.

A Closer look at the Hello Harvest Bundle. You have the little vine dies features that add squiggles to any projects. And also swirly shapes in the stamp set. They make great additions. The flower and leaf images are gorgeous to create on your projects.

The Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper isn’t all pumpkins. There are lovely flower images and pattern prints. Colours in this pack are Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow.

By stamping the flowers twice and layering they create quite a gorgeous display on this card. The extra addition on the card below is the chalkboard effect on the black card. It looks cool.

A way you can use the lovely leaf tags. They are a sweet addition to a gift or other project.

Such pretty paper you don’t need to do too much with it. And stamp the sentiment on some of the paper for an added touch.

Also check the side of the flower paper. It uses the Woven Ribbon. Cut the edge off the ribbon and pull the threads to get a fringed effect. It’s cool! And also it adds some Amber Gems.

A WONDERFUL WORLD PAIR!

In last week’s Instagram Reel I shared making this card.

For this one I punched the corners of the piece of Wonderful World Paper with the Very Best Trio Punch.

The piece of Orchid Oasis card was embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

This was the first card I made below. For the strip of Wonderful World paper I kept the edge straight. I embossed the Flirty Flamingo card with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.

For both cards the flower from the Wonderful World Stamp Set was stamped in Pear Pizzazz on the white circle. Then stamped again in Rich Razzleberry. I snipped the flower head with scissors.

The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE WITH WONDERFUL WORLD!

Today’s project is very simple. With fading energy levels it was enough to keep it all together for this.

With very little stamping, no colouring and just a small amount of cutting and diecutting it came together pretty quickly.

I have used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. With it’s beautiful floral images I diecut some flower images with the Stylish Shapes Dies and matted them on Starry Sky squares cut with the next size square.

The leaf is from the Wonderful World Stamp Set. The sentiment is from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set.

SNORKELLING HIPPEST HIPPOS!

I shared this card on Facebook the other day with the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Hippos Dies and just have to share it with you now. This card just makes me smile. 🙂

My snorkelling hippos are swimming with their Green Turtle Friend.

The top scallop water edge is from the Scalloped Contours Dies. The clouds are from the Wave Dies. The sentiment strip is from the Sending Dies. The rest you can find in the Hippos Dies. It’s great how all these dies come together to create a fun scene.

The turtle is from the Whale Done set.

Isn’t the Hippest Hippos Set for Sale-A-Bration so cute??

The Hippo Dies that go with them just take it to another level. But today I’m not showing the dies. Let’s just have a simple card with the Hippest Hippos. I have pulled out the 2022 In Colors too using the 2022 In Color Designer Series Paper.

The card mat was embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

I created a different edge from the 2022-2024 In Color paper with the Basic Borders Dies. The leafy stem is from the Splendid Stems Dies.

WATERCOLOURING WITH PAINTED POPPIES + VIDEO!

Did you know it’s World Watercolouring Month?? A month of celebrating and sharing all things watercolouring.

I’m no expert at watercolouring. But I have picked up some tips along the way. And practice makes perfect right. 🙂

There are lots of different ways to watercolour and different mediums to use. I shared a video recently on using Watercolor Pencils. In today’s video I’m using the Ink Pads and Water Painters to create a watercolour wash and more detailed watercolouring.

I pulled out the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I haven’t used this in a while.
