LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL – SPOTTY BACKGROUND

I wanted to share this card with you today using the Life Is Beautiful stamp set found in the 2020 Holiday Catalogue.  It is a sweet one.

This card was one we created in class a few weeks ago.  I found the idea on Pinterest BUT I didn’t save it so I don’t know the original creator so sorry about that.

I love the idea of using the “dots” in the set as a background.  These dots give a Bokeh effect too which is cool.  That is where there is different tone to the stamps, so  a light and dark effect.

I used Calypso Coral, Bumblebee and Granny Apple Green.  The words are from the Well Written Dies. It’s all layered on to a mat using the Ornate Layers Dies.

Within this specialty pack are Pre-cut card fronts and greenery accents. Adhere a card front over a card base for a quick card, or easily add an accent to your projects. One side is white; the other side is gold foil. On the white side you can sponge or roller a colour on to co-ordinate with your project.  In the pack are 6 sheets: 3 each of 2 single-sided designs

On the card below you can add the white side to show a touch of white detail.

Now I have to say I was intrigued by these Gold Hoops in this suite.  What would you do with them??  You get 10 hoops measuring 5.4cm ( 2 1/28″).

Also in this suite is the Greenery Embossing Folders. There are 2 in the set.  They are slightly smaller measuring 15.9cm x 8.6cm (6 1/4″ x 3 3/8″).

On this card below it shows the Greenery Embossing Folder but check the hoop out on this card.  It encircles the sentiment.

Recently I shared a card with a video using the gorgeous, colourful Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  I used the Many Layered Blossoms dies.  You can see that blog post -> HERE.

I created a similar card using the Butterfly Beauty Dies. I thought I would show you this one and compare it.  See what you think.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL – DOUBLE LAYER CARD + VIDEO!

This card is one we made in class recently.  I wanted to share this video with you today to show you how to create it.

It is with the sweet Life Is Beautiful Stamp set and is using the Double Layer Technique.  That is using 2 layers of card mat that you stamp on and layer together.  The card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest using the Sheltering Tree set.  It didn’t have a watermark and I couldn’t tell you who created it.  I changed it up a bit for this card though.

I found that it helped using the Stamparatus to stamp this to be sure to get a crisp stamping. It made it easy to re-stamp if I needed to.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #109 – DIFFERENT CARDS WITH JUST A FEW CUTS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #109.  Today I have a cool tip for you.  How to create 3 different look cards by cutting one card piece in different ways.  I thought it was so clever and just wanted to share it with you.  It makes it very quick to put some cards together.

These cards are created by Stampin’ Up! artists using the Moving Along Stamp set but it’s a great idea that you could use with any stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Moving Along stamp set

You have the standard card size and a piece of Designer Series Paper which is the same for each card.  The Designer Series Paper is approximately 7.6cm x 12.7cm (3″ x 5″).  By cutting the white card you can create the different looks.

The Whisper White Cardstock is 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″)

1. The first card the white card is as is and the image stamped on the piece.   This is raised up off the card with Dimensionals.

2.  On the second card the white card is cut into four squares measuring 4.8cm x 4.8cm (1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″) and then stamped within the squares.  Each square is raised up off the card with Dimensionals.

3.  On the third card the white card is cut into three strips measuring (9.5cm x 3.2cm (3-3/4″ x 1-1/4″) and stamped. The stamped strips are raised up off the card using Dimensionals.
