ONSTAGE – BUDDY GIFTS AND SWAPS!

Did you catch the video in yesterday’s post with the swaps I received from Onstage?  If not, head back to the last post. I have the still photos there too.

Today I wanted to share with you my buddy gifts and the swaps I made to share.

BUDDY GIFT PACKS

I made up little Gift Packs – or Onstage survival kits. 😉 I made up 4 of them.

These packs contained a notebook.  I loved these notebooks.  Two had on the front “Don’t Forget To Be Awesome” and the other two were “My Awesome Book of Brilliant Ideas”.  I thought these would be great to write notes in at the Onstage sessions.  In the packs there was some mini Tic Tacs, Tea Bag, Kit Kat Chocolate and of course Mini Post-It notes for the new catalogues.  I will show you a close up of the tags I made.

THE TAGS

A scallop square was cut with the Layering Square Framelits and also a larger black square.  On the white card I stamped the sentiment from the Around The Corner stamp set.  Then stamped the small “flowery” centre shape on to Mango Melody Card and punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch.  Then I diecut a flower in Mango Melody Card from the Flourish Thinlits and layered them together.  Before adhering the flower to the card with Dimensionals I stamped the leaf from the Around The Corner set in Granny Apple Green.  The Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon was adhered between the white scallop square card and the black card.  They are simple but I loved how they turned out.

MY SWAP

I didn’t have a lot of time to make swaps but I really wanted to and I knew I wasn’t going to have a lot of time to swap on the Saturday as I was helping with registration in the morning. So I kept the card simple and only ended up making 15 of them.

This was my swap card.

I have used the Rooted in Nature Bundle.  The tree and the leaf were heat embossed in Copper and diecut out. The sentiment is from Wood Words stamp set.  I wanted to go for an angle look so angled the paper from the Love What You Do Specialty Paper.  Underneath the paper there was a strip of the Copper Foil Paper. To finish I tied a knot using the Copper Trim.

Now since I hadn’t made many swaps I had a few doubles of cards from recent classes so thought I would add those to the swap mix.  These are the group of cards.  I had 2-3 of each card. These were received well too.

Thanks everyone for swapping with me.  I hope you liked your card you received from me.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU CARD

Earlier I mentioned that I was helping on the Saturday.  This was the special card I received from Stampin’ Up! to say Thanks.  Totally unexpected.  It was signed by all the staff that were there.  How lovely.

This uses the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for visiting me.  I hope you like them.

Tomorrow is another 12 Weeks of Christmas Edition so see you then.

TROPICAL CHIC PAIR!

Here are 2 more cards from our Shoebox Swap a couple of months ago.  I think I am nearly caught up. 🙂

These 2 cards use the Tropical Chic Bundle.  I don’t have this Bundle so it is good to get to use these.  I can’t remember who shared these cards. Sorry.  They were 2 members from our clever Inky Fingers team.

I love the effect of the diecut palm fronds especially the double one on the right.  For that card, diecut the “frond Square” from the Tropical Thinlits dies in both Lemon Lime Twist and in Shaded Spruce.  Snip off 2 of the thinner palm leaves on the Lemon Lime Twist diecut and then adhere the 2 together.  How clever!  On this card two some of the palm leaves were stamped in Petal Pink on Petal Pink card to create a subtle background.

There is a bit of cutting and assembling so they are not quick cards but they are fun to put together.

TEAM SHOEBOX SWAP – DAY 3!

Some more cards today from our Team Shoebox Swap.  Really we have some amazing talent in our Inky Fingers Team.

Today I will share the cards using the Rooted in Nature Bundle.

This one below is using a number of different patterns from the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper. I like how the words are cut apart.

This one below is just gorgeous.  A white card mat is embossed with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  I hadn’t seen this folder used before.  I like it.  You should see those leaves in real life.  They are heat embossed in Copper on to Vellum.  So nice.  The other leaves are embossed with one of the leaf embossed dies in the Nature’s Roots Framelits set.  The sentiment is heat embossed in copper too.  This is such a striking card.

I hope you like these ones.  Yes still more to come.  It was a busy day at our team meeting. 🙂

TEAM SHOEBOX SWAP – DAY 2!

I have another group of photos to share with you today from out Team Stamp day a couple of months ago.  We all created a card in the Shoebox Swap for each person to create.  I showed you some lovely ones yesterday. (Head back to the last post if you missed it).

This is a mix of different cards.

I haven’t used Sheltering Tree set in a while.  After stamping the tree on the white Diecut oval, then stamp the small “dots” in the set in different colours over the branches.  We used Tranquil Tide, Pineapple Punch (I think), Grapefruit Grove, and Lovely Lipstick.  There was a purple colour created but that was from mixing the Lovely Lipstick and the Tranquil Tide I think.  The white card piece was backed on to a diecut black oval that was cut in half.

The next one below uses the High Tide set and the cool seat from Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons. To create the background on the card, ink the clear block in the Pool Party inkpad.  Lightly spritz it with water and stamp on to the Shimmery White cardstock.  The reeds are stamped in Soft Suede and then stamped off again on the card to make it lighter.  This was repeated a couple of times.

This next one is using the Coffee Cafe stamp set and the Coffee Cups Framelits.  The card was distressed a little with some sponging with Soft Suede ink.  This was a fun card to create.

Hope you like them.

Be back again soon with more,

Jenny

ONSTAGE SWAPS IN RETURN!

I showed you my swap card I made for Onstage a couple of posts back.  If you missed it then just head back 2 posts.  Today I thought I would show you my swaps I received in return.  I only made about 30 so just have a small number.  It’s great swapping with other demonstrators to get new ideas and different ways of using a stamp set.  You might like to see them.

Cards with Backgrounds.

These cards are created with either lovely paper (The Painted with Love Specialty DSP) or with a stamped background.  The bottom left card uses the Texture Embossing Paste. The bottom right has a watercolour wash. Then you have a lovely scene using the Waterfront set.

Piggies and Birds

These are cute. 🙂

Flowers

So many variations.

Banners and Greetings

Add a sentiment and a little background.  The bottom left card is a Baby Wipe technique like I used on my swap card.

3D

Some fun fold card and treat holders and other special pieces.

I hope you liked to see these.  It’s always good to share new ideas.

Thanks to everyone who swapped with me.

Have a great weekend,

Jenny

RAK CARD SWAP!

I recently took part in a card swap with Demonstrators around Australia.  There were several groups.  I thought I would share the card swaps I received.  This was for the RAK card swap (Random Acts of Kindness Facebook group).

Firstly, this is the card I created.  This was a card I made several weeks ago using the Eastern Palace Suite so I thought that I would make these.  You can see the post for this card HERE.

So these are the cards I received in return.

Aren’t they great?? 🙂 Perhaps these might inspire you in one of your creating endeavours.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny
