DISTRESSED SUNFLOWER EMBOSSING FOLDER CARD ~

I have been meaning to show some more cards with the Sunflower Embossing Folder. I shared a number of the cards in my recent video but it might be good to see them close up.

This one is more a distressed looking card.

I embossed with the folder on a piece of the “wood” look pattern from the Nests of Winter Paper pack. You could use any similar print.

Then you can add your colouring. This one I used the Ink Pads and Blending Brushes then assembled it on the card base with a piece of Old Olive card off-set a little. I think curling up the edges of the embossed piece might have given a more distressed look.

I have had so much fun with this Embossing Folder. I hope to get back to you again soon with some more card projects soon.

If you missed it you can see the video of 5+ Ways with the Sunflower Embossing Folder -> HERE.

SUNFLOWERS EMBOSSING FOLDER WITH THE NESTS OF WINTER PAPER!

More with the Sunflowers Embossing Folder.

This time embossing on some patterned paper. You can try any but I have used the Nests of Winter Paper with a wood-grain look.

It gives a rustic look with this paper. I was wondering now if I should have distressed the edges of the paper to give it a more rustic look??

The Sunflowers were coloured with the Ink Pads and Daubers and the sentiment from the Bright Borders Stamp Set. Which I see is on the Last Chance lists … I diecut this with one of the Mixed Labels Dies. Another one on the list … Be quick if you want to grab these ones.

Have you got the Sunflowers Embossing Folder yet?? It is so versatile and I have to say really fun to work with.

A WATERCOLOUR WASH WITH THE STAMPIN’ UP! RUSTIC CENTERPIECE STAMP SET ~

Another one with the Stampin’ Up! Rustive Centerpiece Stamp Set. I have been playing with this over the last few days. Lots of creative fun with it.

This time I created a Watercolour Wash over some Watercolour Card.

To create it I washed over some Watercolour Card with the Soft Sea Foam. I added a few drops of the Reinker in to the lid of the Ink Pad and added some water to it and swirled it around to mix it. With the Water Painter I washed over the card. Then I left it to dry before stamping on it.

When I came back to it the piece nearly went in to the bin. When it was drying I didn’t like the colours that were coming out. I picked it up to throw it and thought maybe I will just try stamping on it and see how it turns out. (To see if it works ok 😄). It was my little experiment. I actually thought it turned out passable in the end.

The succulents are stamped in Garden Green. I think the Black sentiment helps it all to POP. That was heat embossed in White on the Black card. The sentiment is from the Simply Said Stamp Set. The paper is from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper.

So the card lived to fight another day. Just a word of encouragement. If you don’t like how something is turning out, persevere with it. Put it aside, walk away, come back and work on it. You never know. It might just become a hero.

This is the Rustic Centerpiece Stamp Set if you missed it. It was released yesterday as an Online Exclusives.

A BEACHY CARD WITH THE NOTES AND TOTES BUNDLE ~

I have recently got the Notes and Totes Bundle. I have seen so many cute cards with this one. So I had a play this week.

This was one of the first cards I made with it. I will say it took a little bit to see how the little tote worked. And when I came to make a little tote without a card I was uncertain with that. But that one is for another day and I will share some tips.

For now this cute card. It gives you those Beach Day Vibes.

The actual Tote is created with the Nests of Winter Paper. (Did you know that was still current??). The pattern works well for a Tote.

You then Diecut the little pieces – the straps and handles and base for the Tote, then you have the “cream tube” and the water bottle. Then assembling the sunglasses. I had a couple of attempts working out those. (That will be for another day too).

For the “sand” I tore a strip of Crumb Cake card then stamped the “dotted” stamp over it.

This is the Notes and Totes Bundle.

You can see it more Online -> HERE.

If you would like to order and you are in Australia I would love to help you get this or any other products for your crafting. I send out a little special surprise as a Thank You.

LOVE AND JOY WITH NESTS OF WINTER PAPER!

This is a simple card with the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper.

The paper has such pretty bird images. This one you don’t need too much with. I added the Love and Joy from the Greetings of the Season Stamps and diecut it with the Nested Essentials Die. I added a smaller one diecut with Red Glimmer Paper. It just adds a little sparkle to the simpleness.

This is one of the cards we made at our recent Nests of Winter Class. I usually start off with a simple card and then move on to more detailed ones. Such fun! If you are local in Wollongong come along. Or you can have the Card Kits mailed out to you if you are in Australia.

OFF-SET GATEFOLD CARD FOR WEEK 5 – 12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS!

Week 5 of our 12 Weeks of Christmas series. This week it is an Off-Set Gatefold card. It’s just a little different to the regular Gatefold Cards.

For this card I have used the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper. It’s so easy to cut one of the sweet birds from the paper to add to the front of your card. One of the Dies from the Winterly Tree Tops Dies is meant to diecut one of the birds but you can fussy-cut them out too.

Create this how you like to and it can be great for any occasion. Once you have the scoring worked out it’s very easy to create. You can follow along in the video.

The pretty diecut circle was cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I do love this die set with the pretty edges. There are 3 different die edges in the set. See them more -> HERE.

The written tutorial will be sent out in next week’s newsletter. If you would like to receive them the link details are in the right hand side column.

This is the card created and you can see the inside.

Have fun creating one. And share it with me if you like to. I love to see other versions.

Jenny
