ONSTAGE LIVE BRISBANE REVIEW!

It has been over a week now since I have returned from Brisbane for Onstage Live.  I haven’t stopped since getting back.  I now have had a few minutes to look at the photos I took and thought I would share a few of the fun moments.

20161103_134137

It was very exciting to be a part of. Brisbane held the Live event running over 3 days of fun presentations, seeing gorgeous new products and great business sessions.  Some of the presentations were telecast to centres around the world where the Onstage Local events were being held for one day.

Brisbane is a beautiful city – with even a beach right in the middle of the city!!

The event opened with these amazing guys. Swagamama is a local hip-hop break-dance group.  Their performance was incredible with their choreography and acrobatics. You didn’t know where to look next.

20161103_140029

Even the President Rich Jutkins is not afraid to stamp.  He did a good job too. 🙂

20161103_162913

Shelli of course demonstrated some gorgeous projects.

20161103_145054

I am not going to share too many of the new products at the moment but I will share just one project Shelli made.  Isn’t it gorgeous with the new Dragonfly Thinlits.  Ooh! look is that Watercolour pencils?? 😉

20161103_144847

There were so many fantastic presentations showing new products coming up in the Occasions Catalogue and for Sale-A-Bration.  So many great new techniques too that I just have to try. I might show you some of the projects at a later date though so I don’t give too much away at the moment.  😉

At the end of the last day things were going a little downhill – fast!! I won’t say too much about this but it was very hard for Sara and Shelli to keep it together.  It is a bit blurry but just shows the mayhem! Sweet innocent shelli 😉

20161105_153115

We already had Rich showing how he could stamp and he mentioned then it would be so much worse if he was on stage with Sara and Shelli.  So ……  They got him up right at the end for him to finish the project.  Pressure was on!

Here is my name badge with ribbons. It is only a small little collection from others but I was pleased with my achievements for this past year.

It was so good to see Shannon West again from the US Home Office.  She is so gorgeous.

Onstage is such a fun, inspirational event.  I am looking forward to Onstage Local in Sydney in April.

Thanks for looking.  It was just a little insight in to the fun.

HOLLY JOLLY GREETINGS IS PRETTY DAPPER!

OK, some times these blog post titles gets a bit strange.  BUT, well, what else do I call it?? 🙂

This card is using the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set which you will find in the Annual Catalogue.  I looked over this set so many times in the catalogue but on our weekend I got to play with it and now I love it.  I might have even bought my own set now!

dapper-denim-merry

The Base card is Dapper Denim.  Hence the Dapper in the title 🙂

First off I Heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on to Whisper White card.  Then sponged Dapper Denim ink over the card.  I sponged it a bit heavier over the snowflakes. (maybe a bit too  heavy, but anyway!). Ink it until you are happy with the colour.  Then you can go over it with a tissue to wipe off the ink from the embossed areas.  I really like the magic of this as you wipe over the images.  It makes the images shine. I added some stars stamped in Dapper Denim over the card.

I wanted to add some copper to this.  I matted the card onto some Copper Foil Sheet. Just a tip:  I cut a rectangle from the centre of the copper mat so I don’t waste it as it is just hidden under the cardstock.  I am sure you can have a use for that.

I cut a “merry” from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits from Copper foil too. The Christmas is from the Holly Jolly Greetings set. I thought it needed something else so added a Copper Mini Pinecone embellishment in the corner tied with some Baker’s Twine.  I think I have been converted to copper too.

Hope you like it.  Have a super wonderful day wherever you are.

SWIRLY BIRD PINWHEELS!

I have been having fun making samples with the Swirly Bird stamps and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits ready for my Swirly Bird Class tomorrow.  I just finished this card today and had to show you now.  I really liked how it turned out. I saw an idea for a type of pinwheel using it somewhere, I think on a group I am on??  So I thought I would have a play and see what I could come up with.  I wasn’t sure how it would work at first.  Here is the end result.

Pinwheel Swirly Bird

What do you think?  Pretty funky?

It’s a simple card in itself.  The colours for the pinwheels are from the top right: Emerald Envy and Wild Wasabi; Dapper Denim and Tempting Turquoise; Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo and Peekaboo Peach and Tangerine Tango. I only realised as I got to the last one that I was using the new Incolors. 🙂  The “spots” from the stamp set and stamped in Daffodil Delight.  The sentiment is from ‘Guy Greetings’.  I went through all my stamp sets and thought this font really suited.

The Rhinestones were coloured with a Black Sharpie to add to the centres.  The white card was then adhered to a Basic Black mat and the base card is Tangerine Tango.

These pinwheels were really fun to do and being a clear set you can see through the block to line up each stamp.  I stamped the shape running across lengthways first and then inked the stamp again and flipped it to run across the other direction.  Then inked the other colour and stamped  to line up the long edge with the shorter edge already stamped if that makes sense?? I think I will have to try some more cards with these pinwheels!

Go and make some funky pinwheels for yourself.  Of course, you need the Swirly Bird stamp set to do this.  If you haven’t already got it and the Swirly Scribbles  Thinlits you better buy it.  This is such a fun and versatile set.  Get it as a Bundle and save 10%.

If you are in Australia you can order it through me if you don’t already have a Demonstrator.  Head to my Store HERE and place your order or contact me directly.

ELEGANCE WITH FLORAL PHRASES!

Have you seen the new Floral Phrases Stamps and the Detailed Floral Thinlits in the Catalogue?  They are just so gorgeous.  It makes elegant cards so easily.  I had a play with them yesterday and thought I would show you my creations.

These cards were inspired by 2 I had seen on a Facebook group I am on.  I love the new Dapper Denim Incolor too.  It just adds to the elegance. 🙂

Floral Themes _ 2

The Detailed Floral Thinlits cut so easily.  I then placed it on the Whisper White card mat so I could line it up to stamp on the white card. Then I could adhere it in place with the Fine Tip Glue and then to the Dapper Denim Card base. The stamped strip is in Sahara Sand.  The butterfly was stamped in Dapper Denim and is from the Papillion Potpourri set.

The Rhinestones add a little sparkle. I debated on whether to tie around some White Baker’s Twine but decided against it. When it was all stuck together though I realised that I should have done it and kept coming back to it.  In the end I added a small twine bow.

This second card was in Dapper Denim too.  This time I stamped the floral image and then added the “spots” in the Crumb Cake.  I wanted to keep the sentiment simple so I stamped the floral border in Crumb Cake on a piece of card strip and then stamped the greeting over the top.  This time I added some Pearls for glamour. I sponged the edge of the card too which softens it.

Here is the stamp set and the Thinlits if you haven’t noticed them before.  They are available to order from my store.
