SUPPORTING MENTAL HEALTH FOR WORLD CARDMAKING DAY 2019!

World Cardmaking Day is coming. While we all have fun creating, this year I want to use it to raise money for Mental Health.

We all know someone who is suffering Mental Health challenges. Resources to help are so limited. Let’s make a difference together. And if you can’t make the day you can still support us.

Using the special Nature’s Beauty stamp set we will make 3 cards while having lots of fun, Tea/Coffee will be provided and there might even be a giveaway or 2.

WHEN: Saturday 5th October 2pm in my studio in East Corrimal. (Can’t make it? Check out how you can still help below)

COST: $20

Places are limited so be sure to book in early.

HOW DOES THIS HELP MENTAL HEALTH?

With the sale of this stamp set Stampin’ Up! will donate $4.25 to local Mental Health Organisations.

Personally, $5 from each class fee and 20% commission from any sales during this weekend will be donated to Headspace, an organisation supporting young people’s Mental Health.

HOT CHOCOLATE BAR CATALOGUE REVIEW!

A few weeks ago now I had the catalogue launch for the 2019 Holiday Catalogue. I decided on a Hot Chocolate Bar for it. Since Christmas is so hot here it’s not the time for Hot Chocolate. Actually it had been quite hot the days leading up to the weekend so it was a bit ironic. On the day though the weather cooled down. It was a lot of fun and always so nice for everyone to see what is out for their Christmas creating.

I thought I would share a little bit of it with you.

Firstly, since it was a Hot Chocolate Bar I made up the little gifts in take-away coffee cups. I know they are not environmentally friendly but I had these sitting around so why not use them.

They were decorated with the snowflake from the Christmas Layers Dies from the Dazzling Glimmer Paper. It is a bit hard to see the sparkle. How gorgeous is that Cherry Cobbler Diagonal stripe Ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set but check the frame. You might actually miss these in the catalogue. They are created with the Ornate Frames Dies from Shaded Spruce card and then a Cherry Cobber Scallop square from the Layering Squares Dies.

In the cups I had some ribbon and little embellishments and of course the obligatory chocolate treat. 🙂

We made 2 cards on the day. I will show you one today and then another tomorrow.

We used the Brightly Gleaming Suite for the cards.

The card above is quite simple really but it looks quite classy with the gorgeous shiny copper accents on the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and the sparkly Star Designer Elements. The Copper Foil was embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder. Doesn’t that look a cool effect.

When I made the card originally I made a small gift tag up with some “bits” left over. It’s good to have a matching tag.

The Classic Weave Ribbon is gorgeous with the embossed copper words on it.

2019 STAMPIN’ UP! CATALOGUE KICK-OFF!

It’s Time for the 2019 Annual Catalogue Kick-Off and you’re invited to join me if you are a Wollongong local.

Time for you to see – and play with lots of great new products in the 2019 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. It’s always an exciting time that you won’t want to miss.

Be sure to be an early bird and book in early.

The Catalogue Kick-off is on 3 different time slots so I hope one time suits you. If not let’s make a different time. You can get one or 2 – or more friends together and we can do it again so you don’t miss out.

WHEN: Friday 31st May 10am and 7pm
Saturday 1st June 2pm

WHERE: My studio In East Corrimal.

COST: $10 – for early birds that book by Monday 27th May.
$15 after the 27th.

You will get to play with lots of products, see some projects, check out the new Incolors, Gifts and giveaways are included. You might even be the Mystery Host and receive the Host rewards. Imagine that getting some products for free!

TIME FOR TEA CARD CLASS!

Join me for Tea (or coffee or water) for a fun class with the Tea Together stamp set. We will be making some cute projects just in time for Mother’s Day or to give to a lovely friend in your life.

The class includes a sweet card, Tea box (provide your own teabags) and a small chocolate box. A Ferrero Rocher Chocolate is included.

WHEN: Friday 10th May at 10am or Saturday 11th 2pm.

For local Wollongong Peeps we are getting your shimmer on this week. You will learn how to use the Shimmer Paint in different ways while creating some gorgeous cards. These paints are so fun to use and you can achieve some great effects with them.
