LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL – DOUBLE LAYER CARD + VIDEO!

This card is one we made in class recently.  I wanted to share this video with you today to show you how to create it.

It is with the sweet Life Is Beautiful Stamp set and is using the Double Layer Technique.  That is using 2 layers of card mat that you stamp on and layer together.  The card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest using the Sheltering Tree set.  It didn’t have a watermark and I couldn’t tell you who created it.  I changed it up a bit for this card though.

I found that it helped using the Stamparatus to stamp this to be sure to get a crisp stamping. It made it easy to re-stamp if I needed to.

I have the video below to see how you can create this card.

The Life is Beautiful stamp set has such lovely sentiments.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #109 – DIFFERENT CARDS WITH JUST A FEW CUTS!

Wednesday’s WOW! #109.  Today I have a cool tip for you.  How to create 3 different look cards by cutting one card piece in different ways.  I thought it was so clever and just wanted to share it with you.  It makes it very quick to put some cards together.

These cards are created by Stampin’ Up! artists using the Moving Along Stamp set but it’s a great idea that you could use with any stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Moving Along stamp set

You have the standard card size and a piece of Designer Series Paper which is the same for each card.  The Designer Series Paper is approximately 7.6cm x 12.7cm (3″ x 5″).  By cutting the white card you can create the different looks.

The Whisper White Cardstock is 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″)

1. The first card the white card is as is and the image stamped on the piece.   This is raised up off the card with Dimensionals.

2.  On the second card the white card is cut into four squares measuring 4.8cm x 4.8cm (1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″) and then stamped within the squares.  Each square is raised up off the card with Dimensionals.

3.  On the third card the white card is cut into three strips measuring (9.5cm x 3.2cm (3-3/4″ x 1-1/4″) and stamped. The stamped strips are raised up off the card using Dimensionals.

What a clever idea! I can’t wait to try this idea with some other stamps. I hope you find this idea helpful. If you try this idea be sure to send me a photo at jghayward@yahoo.com  I would love to see them.

What do you think of this fun Moving Along Stamp set?? I wish I had little kids to use this set.  It is so cute.

In Australia?  You can buy this set (or any of the other awesome products) in my store now -> HERE.  I would be happy to help you with your order if you would like me to order for you. Just drop me an email at jghayward@yahoo.com

Have a great day,

Jenny

PLAYFUL PETS FOR A DOGGY LOVER BIRTHDAY!

It was my gorgeous girl’s 20th Birthday yesterday.  I don’t know where that time has gone! I thought I would share the card I created for her.

It was a very quick card and very simple but what more do you need with the cute Playful Pets Designer Series Paper.  Those little doggies just make you smile don’t they?? She just LOVES dogs.  So I thought she would love all these little doggies – and she did!  To be honest I actually bought this paper for her as I know she will love creating with it.

The sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set and coloured with the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment was cut with one of the dies in the Tasteful Labels Dies set.  Underneath that I diecut a little banner strip with another die in the set.  The banner was with a little piece of the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper.   It is a little hard to tell but I added some loops of the retired Silver Thread under the sentiment.

If you are a cat lover there is very cute cat prints too in the pack.  Just so much cuteness in one pack.

Hope you have a great week.  Get some creating time in for you this week.  We all need that little escape.

WHALE DONE BUILD A CARD!

Occasionally in my Customer Facebook group I set a little challenge.  It’s a BUILD A CARD WEEK.  Each day of the week I give an element to a card I have designed.  At the end of the week they can create their card.  This card I am sharing with you today is the card I made for the recent BUILD A CARD WEEK I had.

I have used the Whale Done Stamp set. This was a fun card to make.

Each day I gave the measurements for the pieces and suggestions of what it would have.  It is lots of fun to get people creating.  Sometimes we get a bit “stuck” in creating trying to think of what to use or what the layout is to be.  Having direction or inspiration can help.

This past week for our Build A Card Week not as many got involved as in the past.  Life happens but past ones have had lots of involvement. But it’s interesting to see what cards people come up with using the same elements.

You can join in the fun on my Facebook group too.  Head -> HERE to join.

In Australia? I would love you to shop with me. Head -> HERE.  Host Code: 26MVE4VE

I send a little Thank You card and small gift out to say Thanks to you so be sure not to mark your order anonymous.

If you need help in putting your order in please contact me by email at jghayward@yahoo.com or PH: 0439 844574 and I can help you out.

Happy Stamping,

SUNDAY SUITES – GILDED AUTUMN SUITE!

I want to tell you about this gorgeous suite today for Sunday Suites.  This is the Gilded Autumn Suite.  You will see why it is called this suite and I’m not necessarily talking about Autumn leaves.

The Gilded Autumn Suite is shiny and coppery and brass all in together. From the paper which has gold and copper foiling on some of the prints – and the prints are gorgeous in itself with the nature-inspired images. Then there is the Acorn Trinkets, which are small metal embellishments brushed with an antique copper finish.  And then also is the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo. The copper ribbon in this combo pack is shiny and metallic grosgrain ribbon. See, so all very much shiny.

The Gilded Autumn Suite is $168 AUD.   It includes:

* Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set
* Autumn Punch Pack
* Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack
* Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
* Acorn Trinkets
* Brushed Metallic 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Cardstock

Colours found in the papers are Cajun Craze, copper foil, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, gold foil, Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla.

Let’s look at them all more closely.

The  Beautiful Autumn Bundle consists of the stamp set and the Autumn Punch set.  The punches are 2 small leaf punches and an acorn punch. AND, if you didn’t know the punches can punch some of the images in the paper.  See Stampin’ Up! go that extra mile for co-ordination.

See how the punches punch out.

How gorgeous is the paper?? It really doesn’t show the shine though in the photos sadly.

Now the Brushed Metallics Cardstock comes in 12″ x 12″ size.  There are 6 single-sided sheets: 2 each of the 3 colours: Bronze, Copper and Gold.

Here you can see the Acorn Trinkets. You get 20  in a pack and they are 1.3cm long (1/2″).

This is the Basket Weave and Copper Ribbon Combo.

Now you have seen all you can get in the Gilded Autumn Suite.  Let’s have some samples. These are created by Stampin’  Up Artists.

In Australia? You can shop for the Gilded Autumn Suite in my store now -> HERE. Please use the Host Code: 26MVE4VE

Thanks for shopping with me. I do appreciate it. I will send out a little Thank You after you order.

Have a great day,

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #108 – WHAT’S THIS STAMPIN’ SEAL???

Wednesday’s WOW! #108 All about the Stampin’ Seal.

You might have seen the new roller tape adhesive in the Annual Catalogue?? It’s the Stampin’ Seal and the Stampin’ Seal +.

What is it and what’s the difference between the two. I thought this might be a good thing to look in to today for our Wednesday’s WOW! Session.

Below is the Stampin’ Seal.  This one is in the light blue cartridge.

The Stampin’ Seal will give an instant-bond and is a permanent adhesive when using it on your card or ribbon.  It is acid free. The roll contains 15m or 16.4 yards.

Below is the Stampin’ Seal+.  This has a dark blue cartridge.

Similar to the Stampin’ Seal, the Stampin’ Seal+ is an instant-bond, permanent adhesive.  However, It is much stronger than the Seal so it is suitable for your 3D projects and cards with heavier layers. The Stampin’ Seal+ is also acid free. It comes in the same length roll of 15 m or 16.4 yards.

Both Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Seal+ are acid free.

Both of these comes with a replacement refill.  Which saves money later when you need a replacement.  The refill is very easy to replace by pulling the cartridge apart and inserting the refill section.  It works just like the old style SNAIL.

TIP: Some people have had issues with the adhesive not rolling.  I have to say I haven’t had any issues.  If you are finding this happens rather than lifting the roller straight up off the card, give the roller a little twist.  See how that works for you.

Want to see the Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Seal+?? Check this Youtube video out.

The Stampin’ Seal and the Stampin’ Seal+ as well as the refills are available in my store now.  I will be happy to help you with your order if you are in Australia.

Happy stamping,
