SUNDAY SUITES – BLACKBERRY BEAUTY SUITE!

Back with another Sunday Suites and since we have a new catalogue let’s check out one of the lovely suites in our new Mini Catalogue.

It’s the Blackberry Beauty Suite. I will be honest I wasn’t too sure about this suite but there are some lovely elements in the suite.

Firstly the complete Blackberry Beauty Suite Collection.

This Collection includes:

  • The Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp set
  • The Beautiful Leaves Dies. (buy the stamps and dies as a bundle and save 10%)
  • The Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Gold 12″x12″ Shimmer Vellum
  • Gold Shimmer Ribbon
  • Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack

Below is the Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle. Even the dies on their own are so lovely.

The Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper is certainly very elegant and has images of leaves, sprigs and birds. The colours in this paper are Blackberry Bliss, Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso, Polished Pink, Rich Razzleberry, plus with some Gold accents.

Check out this Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack. This on it’s own is gorgeous with botanical laser-cut designs. There are multiple shapes to choose from and can be used for layering accents to larger projects or for labelling gifts with the artistically designed tags.

It includes: 40 total 2 each of 20 designs. The largest is 8.6cm x 10.6cm (3 3/8″ x 4 3/16″).

Colours are Blackberry Bliss, Cinnamon Cider, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry and Gold Foil.

So let’s check out some samples. (projects by Stampin’ Up!). Lots of deep purples and Gold Shimmer.

This card really shows the Ephemera Pack.

SWEET LITTLE STOCKINGS PUPPY!

I couldn’t resist the Sweet Little Stockings bundle when I saw it in the new Mini Catalogue and the adorable Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper. Whether you love dogs or cats it’s so cute!

For this card I coloured the stocking and the puppy with the Stampin’ Blends. At the top of the stocking I used the Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

Isn’t the Sweet Little Stockings just the cutest?? There are the little stockings dies. (and some of them match the stockings on the paper). There are also some other fun little elements.

Watch out for more with this suite. It’s just too adorable.

You can find all the Sweet Stockings Suite in my store -> HERE.”>HERE.

CREATE A PINWHEEL TOWER CARD + VIDEO!

For our Friday Flicks today I show you how to create a Pinwheel Tower Card.

You might have seen these around. I have been fascinated with them and wanted to have a go. They are so easy – and they look so cool. You will want to try one yourself.

I have used the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle.

Here are each of the other panels.

It can easily fold flat. This particular size is too large for a standard envelope but you can create your own OR cut the panels 2cm (3/4″) thinner and it should work.

I have the video below for you or it is now on Youtube to view. I give the measurements for them in Metric and Imperial but don’t stress I have the measurements below.

PINWHEEL TOWER CARD MEASUREMENTS

There are a number of versions around. This one was based on Karen’s card -> HERE.

Tower Base – 17cm x 14.8cm 7″ x 6″ Scored at 2.5cm, 5cm, 7.5cm, 10cm (1″, 2″, 3″, 4″)

Panels – 3 @ 7cm x 14.8cm 3″ x 6″

Designer Series Paper Pieces – 4 @ 14.4cm x 6.6cm 5 3/4″ x 2 3/4″

– 4 @ 14.4cm x 4.1cm 5 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

Hope you get to make one yourself.

The Tidings of Christmas paper is one that is reduced at the moment in the Paper Sale. This finishes on Monday. So not long to save 15% on it.

You can find it in my store -> HERE.

Have a great day,

INSPIRE.CREATE.CHALLENGE #095 WITH SWEET STOCKINGS PAPER!

I have new products …That’s always exciting! 🙂

To warm up to them I looked up a sketch to play along with. The Inspire.Create.Challenge #095 email arrived in my inbox so thought I would have a go. So I made 2 cards with it.

This is the sketch. You can find the details on their blog -> HERE.

These are the cards I created. Both used the upcoming Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper which you will be able to order from August 3rd. It’s such cute paper!

That cat doesn’t look too impressed but then how many cats would be impressed with deer antlers on it’s head. 🙂

The sentiment and santa hat is from the stamp set Sweet Little Stockings. The santa hat was coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.

This card below I flipped the sketch. The sentiment and the leaf diecut is from the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle which is available now in the Annual catalogue. The shiny ribbon is the Gold Shimmer Ribbon which will be in the Mini Catalogue.

Simple cards but then what more do you need with this sketch. Let the paper make a statement.

Speaking of the new Mini Catalogue.

If you are in Australia and would love a paper copy sent to you then let me know in a comment or email. They are heading out in the mail now.

Have a great week,

Jenny

AVID STYLE WITH THE ARTISTICALLLY INKED BUNDLE!

Last post I shared a SIMPLE style with the Artistically Inked stamp set. Just stamps, ink and paper.

Today I am sharing AVID style with the bundle. AVID is more layering, diecuts, embellishments. I have 2 different versions. I would love to know what is your favourite.

The white card is embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. On the second card I had stamped the “swoosh” stamp on the white card before embossing. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. I used the Paper Lattice on the card mat as a background.

The sentiment for the 2nd card is from the Art Gallery set and diecut with the Floral Gallery Dies.

The Artistically Inked Bundle is in my store and you can see some other gorgeous samples with it.

See it -> HERE. If you are shopping Please use the Host Code: VMWWGAAU

SIMPLE SATURDAY STAMPING WITH ARTISTICALLY INKED!

I have recently been playing with the Artistically Inked stamp set.

For this first one I just kept it Simple. Stamps, Ink and Paper. I love how this stamp set makes you feel an “artist”. The images give a watercolour look so you don’t even have to add water.

Come back and check the AVID versions very soon.

The Artistically Inked stamp set is part of the Expressions In Ink Suite. Such gorgeous products these ones. Check them out Online -> HERE.

PANSY LAYERS WITH THE PANSY PETALS PAPER!

The Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper has been very popular I think. It is so pretty. Flowers on one side and Gingham and other patterns on the other. What’s not to love!

Of course this paper works lovely with the Pansy Patch Stamp Set and Pansy Dies but why not use it on it’s own.

For this card I used the “paper tole” on the pansies. From the pansy print I cut several out and snipped off sections. I think the Pansy Dies will cut these too which is cool and if you don’t like cutting.

After cutting them all layer them together and raise up the smaller parts with Dimensionals to give dimension.

I used some of the Fresh Freesia Gingham print in the Pansy Petals DSP pack for the card. The sentiment is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.

Why not try it yourself.

If you need this paper this is one of the packs at 15% off this month which is a bonus!

Check it out in my store now -> HERE. You can shop in store there (Australian residents only). Please use the Host Code – VMWWGAAU

PARTY PUFFINS FOR FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES #493

I had a little play yesterday just because. 🙂

I pulled out the Party Puffin stamp set and created a card for the Freshly Made Sketches #493 challenge this week. It’s been a while since I have played.

This is the sketch to play along with.

Here is my card.

I coloured the puffins with the Stampin’ Blends. They were a lot of fun to colour.

The background piece is using the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

Why not join in with the sketch yourself. Even if you don’t add it to the challenge it’s a great sketch to have a go at.

Head to the Freshly Made Sketches blog -> HERE.

If you need any of your stamping supplies and you are in Australia then I would love to assist you if you don’t have a demonstrator yourself. Drop me an email at jghayward@yahoo.com or phone 0439 844574.

You can stop by my store -> HERE.

Have a great day,

A VERY SPECIAL WEDDING CARD WITH THE ARTISTIC DIES!

I can finally share this card now. This was a very special wedding card to make for my son and his new wife who recently were married.

It’s a simple card but that’s my style. 🙂 But the shine on it was beautiful. Sadly you can’t quite capture that in a photo.

I used the Pearlescent Specialty Paper to diecut the flower using the Artistic Dies. Sadly this paper is not available now. It gives such a beautiful shimmer. I hope you can see that in the photo below.

Cinnamon Cider was used for the card mat as that was a close match to the Bridesmaids dresses. The sentiment from Last a Lifetime (retired) was Heat Embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.

For the inside I used a piece of the Pearlescent Specialty Paper to add some shine. I used the Saddle Brown Stazon to stamp the sentiment and flower as it was a shiny surface.

How cool though! The flower from the Last A Lifetime stamp set matched so well with the diecut flower from the Artistic Dies.

I have to share a photo of the happy couple right. 🙂 We haven’t got the professional photos yet. This is just one of my happy snaps. There was just so much happiness and smiles on the day.

Below is Josh and Claire and my daughter Carlie who was one of the bridesmaids with her boyfriend James.

Ok. Now I have indulged you I will be back with more inspiration soon.

Have a great day,

Jenny
