STAMPIN’ UP! WILDFLOWER BIRTHDAY – ME TO YOU

In my Facebook Group this week I have set a little “Creative Spark” post to perhaps inspire the members creating.

This week it was to use 2 different pieces of patterned paper on their cards. So of course I created too. This was my card.

I used the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Paper. It has gorgeous paper prints as well as Diecut images and pieces ready to use. I love that this can make creating a lot quicker.

I used a sketch to create the card. The square Birthday Cake image was cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies to add some extra detail and layered on a Old Olive Card Mat.

The sentiment is from the Bright Borders Stamp Set and cut with one of the dies from the Mixed Labels Dies. A little flower piece was added that was in the diecut paper pack.

So why not try this yourself. Grab 2 different pieces of patterned paper and create a card. If you need to check out a Card Sketch to work with to help you put the card together.

If you haven’t seen the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Paper before this is the pack.

You can see it more Online -> HERE. You can order there or Contact me directly. I would love to help you get that pretty paper.

Happy Creating

SWEET SATURDAY WITH HEART SHAPED DIES!

Sweet Saturday. Today it’s a cute little card – with leftovers.

Do you have “bits” leftover from another project. They just sit there for some time taunting you. Pull them out and see what you can create.

For this one I had some bits of the Toadstool Gardens Paper. I had a diecut heart from the Heart Shaped Dies along with the little flower. So it was all just the size to make a Mini Thank You card. This didn’t take long at all and I can send it out soon for a special Thank You to one of my customers.

The paper and the Heart Shaped Dies are available as Sale-A-Bration choices with your orders over the qualifying amount. ($100 AUD for the paper and $200 for the Heart Shaped Stamp Set and the Dies).

The words were diecut with one of the dies in the Mixed Labels Dies available as on Online Exclusives product.

So if you like these you will have to be quick to get them. It is only 2 weeks left for them.

If you need to order any of your crafty supplies and you are in Australia I would love to serve you. You can stop by my store OR Contact me directly. I would be happy to help you.

Happy Weekend,

JEN’s INK TEAM CHRISTMAS MYSTERY CRAFTING WITH THE LITTLE BIT FESTIVE PAPER PACK!

We had our JEN’s INK Team Christmas Get Together last weekend. It was a great time to celebrate my lovely team, to chat, to dwell on the new Mini Catalogue coming and of course to create. It was a Mystery Card.

I gave everyone an envelope with some pieces from the ‘A Little Bit Festive Specialty Paper Pack’. This pack has 3 sheets of 12×12 paper, a 12×12 frame/image sheet. and some sheets with different elements in them.

The envelope included a different type of wreath and other pieces. They could also use co-ordinating card I had with any other stamps or embellishements. As well as the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack. They didn’t have to use all their pieces.

These are the cards created. Aren’t they great??

And I was so busy chatting and sharing with them that I forgot to take a photo of them all having fun. At least you get to see all their lovely creations that I snapped a photo of just before they left.

These ladies are so great. I appreciate each one of them and love that we can create together. If you want to know more about my JEN’s INK team and to join in other activities next year do ask me. You can also click on the page on my blog titled JOIN NOW.

Stampin’ Up! is not just selling the products, it’s having fun together crafting with people that “get it”. I’m sure there may not be many in your household or among your friends that “get” what you do. 😉 And it’s great to glean over the catalogue with others. Always an inspiration too to share with others. Do come and join in the fun.

Have a great day,

Jenny

Just some of my great JEN’s INKer’s from Onstage this year.

BATIK STYLE WITH LEAF COLLECTION FOR CI 169

I had a little play over the weekend just for me. I checked out the Colour Inkspirations Challenge and created along with the colours for this week.

The CI 169 colours for this week were: Basic Beige, Blueberry Bushel, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.

I had the Leaf Collection stamp out from other creating so thought I would try these colours with this stamp. This is the result.

I used the Emboss Resist Technique and then sponged over the different colours in different areas over the white card. It gives it a Batik style to the look.

To do this technique – Ink up the stamp in Versamark. Press the stamp on to the card and pour over the Clear Embossing Powder. Heat to melt the powder. Then with the Blending Brushes rub over ink in different parts. You will get some ink on the Embossed areas but that’s ok. Wipe off the excess ink with a tissue.

Heat Embossing is one of my favourite techniques.

You can join in with this colour challenge. Head to the Facebook group there. If you are not already a member then request to join. Then add your projects too. There is a different colour challenge every 2 weeks.

Happy Crafting,

Jenny

COLOUR INKSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE #150 WITH INKED AND TILED STAMP SET!

The Colour Inkspirations have their 150th Colour Challenge this week. I had to have a go. I first started these challenges way back near the beginning so wanted to join in with this milestone.

The Colour Challenge#150 this week was Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock.

I have to say these colours were hard to use all together.

Here is the card I created. I have used the Inked and Tiled Stamp Set.

The paper is the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper stack. I have used 2 different patterns creating a block pattern.

The flowers were inked with Brushes and Daubers to add the different colours. The White Baker’s Twine was coloured with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends.

It is nothing fancy but I liked the effect.

Hope you get to have a go at it. You can create your own and post it to the Facebook Group -> HERE.

ARTISTICALLY INKED FOR COLOUR INKSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE!

I had a little play this week – just because. I played along with the Colour Inkspirations Challenge #CI144.

I have to say I found it hard colours to put together. They are beautiful colours but just being so many it was hard to work them in.

I first pulled out a few stamp sets that I thought may work and then ended up choosing the Artistically Inked Stamp set. It’s nice to play with “older” stamp sets.

This is what I came up with. The colours were Bubble Bath, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party and Azure Afternoon.

I stamped a number of different flowers in the different colours and then played around with the placement. Eventually I got something together. 🙂

What would you do with these colours?

There is still time to play if you want to join in too. You can follow along on the Colour Inkspirations Facebook group -> HERE.

BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE FOR COLOUR INKSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE!

I actually had time to play this weekend “Just Because”. It was nice to just dabble. I played along with the Colour Inkspirations Challenge #140. WOW! How awesome that it’s up to 140. I played along in the early days but just haven’t had time to lately.

The Colour Inkspirations Challenges can be seen -> HERE. You can see what others have created with these colours and even create one yourself and enter. Have a go.

Here is my card for the challenge for this week. It was nice subtle colours. I thought it would be good to drag out a stamp set I haven’t used for a while. And this Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set is retiring very soon. So nice to ink it up again.

The colours were Petal Pink, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam and Early Espresso (this one was a dark shade against those nice pastels).

Here is my card.

I blended the white card using the Blending Brushes with the Petal Pink, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam. Then stamped the butterflies in Early Espresso. The sentiment from Happiness Abounds is stamped in Early Espresso too. The lovely Soft Sea Foam ribbon adds a little elegance.

I hope you like the card. Hope you get to play “just because” this week.

Have a great week,

Jenny

This past week I put out a Colour Inspiration in my Facebook GroupYou can join the group -> HERE

This was the inspiration.

The colours from this that I could see where Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Soft Succulent, Balmy Blue, Basic Gray.

I used all but the Balmy Blue. (It could even be more Smoky Slate).

This was the card I created. I share the making of it on an Instagram Reel yesterday if you caught it.

I used the Merriest Moments Stamp Set and the Dies.

INSPIRE.CREATE.CHALLENGE #095 WITH SWEET STOCKINGS PAPER!

I have new products …That’s always exciting! 🙂

To warm up to them I looked up a sketch to play along with. The Inspire.Create.Challenge #095 email arrived in my inbox so thought I would have a go. So I made 2 cards with it.

This is the sketch. You can find the details on their blog -> HERE.

These are the cards I created. Both used the upcoming Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper which you will be able to order from August 3rd. It’s such cute paper!

That cat doesn’t look too impressed but then how many cats would be impressed with deer antlers on it’s head. 🙂

The sentiment and santa hat is from the stamp set Sweet Little Stockings. The santa hat was coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.

This card below I flipped the sketch. The sentiment and the leaf diecut is from the Tidings and Trimmings Bundle which is available now in the Annual catalogue. The shiny ribbon is the Gold Shimmer Ribbon which will be in the Mini Catalogue.

Simple cards but then what more do you need with this sketch. Let the paper make a statement.

Speaking of the new Mini Catalogue.

If you are in Australia and would love a paper copy sent to you then let me know in a comment or email. They are heading out in the mail now.

Have a great week,

Jenny

PARTY PUFFINS FOR FRESHLY MADE SKETCHES #493

I had a little play yesterday just because. 🙂

I pulled out the Party Puffin stamp set and created a card for the Freshly Made Sketches #493 challenge this week. It’s been a while since I have played.

This is the sketch to play along with.

Here is my card.

I coloured the puffins with the Stampin’ Blends. They were a lot of fun to colour.

The background piece is using the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

Why not join in with the sketch yourself. Even if you don’t add it to the challenge it’s a great sketch to have a go at.

Head to the Freshly Made Sketches blog -> HERE.
