With a new catalogue comes some lovely new papers and ribbons. And they are gorgeous. I think often they are the best part of the catalogue.

BUT I know that you have a stash sitting at home already but you really, REALLY, would love some of the new stuff.

So, Share it with me. I have put together some Shares from the Papers and Specialty Papers as well as the Special Release Papers. Also, some of the ribbons.

It’s hard to get a really good idea here.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #152 – M&M

Wednesday’s WOW! #152 – M&M.

What???

Melt and Move. Not the chocolate variety. Although that would be nice right now …

Think M&M when you are Heat Embossing. That is Melt and Move.

Once your Embossing Powder turns shiny when heating you know that it has melted. Don’t stay heating there or it will burn. Keep on moving along to the next section.

So next time you are Heat Embossing think M&M.

Now I think I need some M&M’s. Some Crunchy Peanut ones. 🙂

A SIMPLE TRANSLUCENT FLORALS CARD!

It’s the Translucent Florals again. I am liking them and I have had lots of fun playing with these.

This card is one that was made in the Creativity Now event for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators a few months ago. You might have seen this or similar versions around. I have only got to make this now.

We will be making this and 2 other great cards in our Translucent Florals class this week. Come along if you are in the local Wollongong area. Let me know by Thursday.

CLASS DETAILS:

The class is this Friday 15th at 10am and then also Saturday 23rd at 2pm. Cost is $25. (Saturday class let me know by Thursday 21st).

STAMPIN’ UP! TRANSLUCENT FLORALS!

I have a new favourite. Yes indeed!

If you have followed me along for a while you may know that I am not big on colouring. I find it hard and I know I need to work on it BUT when there is a stamp set that I don’t have to colour I’m all over it. 🙂

I love the new Translucent Florals Bundle that is in the upcoming Mini Catalogue starting on September 6th.

With the stamps you get colour gradients just by stamping. No need for colouring. And there are some really lovely, versatile sentiments in the set.

I have been playing with it a bit these past few days and I will show you more but for today this is one of the cards I have created with it.

There is the stamp set and the co-ordinating dies for it.

TWO VERSIONS OF CIRCLE CARDS + A VIDEO!

I like to make different fold cards. And it could just be a simple shape.

I have been creating circle cards this week so I thought I would put a video together to show you how. Also to give you some tips in creating them.

Here are the Circle Cards.

The Fresh Freesia version using the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper.

The Petal Pink version using the Translucent Florals.

Both are created differently. Be sure to watch to find out how to make them.

COLOUR INKSPIRATIONS CHALLENGE #150 WITH INKED AND TILED STAMP SET!

The Colour Inkspirations have their 150th Colour Challenge this week. I had to have a go. I first started these challenges way back near the beginning so wanted to join in with this milestone.

The Colour Challenge#150 this week was Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive and Pretty Peacock.

I have to say these colours were hard to use all together.

Here is the card I created. I have used the Inked and Tiled Stamp Set.

The paper is the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper stack. I have used 2 different patterns creating a block pattern.

The flowers were inked with Brushes and Daubers to add the different colours. The White Baker’s Twine was coloured with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends.

It is nothing fancy but I liked the effect.

I have received so many lovely cards in the mail recently. RAK’s or Random Acts of Kindness cards. I have received them for so many different reasons.

It does warm your heart. (And I did miss out some too in this photo – Oops! Sorry).

Thank You for the love.

Isn’t it nice we can send love in a card.

Why not send a little card love yourself to someone this week. I can tell you it will bring a smile to their face. After all that’s what we do this for isn’t it. And it’s so much nicer than a bill in the mail.
