This time embossing on some patterned paper. You can try any but I have used the Nests of Winter Paper with a wood-grain look.
It gives a rustic look with this paper. I was wondering now if I should have distressed the edges of the paper to give it a more rustic look??
The Sunflowers were coloured with the Ink Pads and Daubers and the sentiment from the Bright Borders Stamp Set. Which I see is on the Last Chance lists … I diecut this with one of the Mixed Labels Dies. Another one on the list … Be quick if you want to grab these ones.
Have you got the Sunflowers Embossing Folder yet?? It is so versatile and I have to say really fun to work with.

The details in the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder is amazing! I have had a lot of fun with this folder lately. And I can’t wait to show you more with what I have created with it. But today I am sharing this one with you.
When you don’t feel like colouring the whole embossed piece you can diecut a circle or other shape and colour that small area. And don’t forget to colour with the blue around the flowers. It helps them POP more.
I embossed a piece of white card with the Sunflower Embossing Folder then I diecut a circle in another piece of white card. Then embossed the card. It is better to diecut the shape first. If you do that after you have embossed the card it can flatten the detail.
I used the Daubers and inks to colour this one. And used the Balmy Blue Light Stampin’ Blend for the surrounds.
I heat embossed the sentiment on black card. This helps it POP more too. The sentiment is from the Simply Said Stamp Set.
Have you tried the Sunflower Embossing Folder? It is a large one but there are lots of different Sunflower shapes over it and you can pick the area you like depending on your project.
The Embossing Folder measures 6″ x 8-1/2″ (15.2 x 21.6 cm). I said it was a large one!
Hope you get to create with it. I will bring you more with it soon.
We will be creating with this folder in class this week. If you are a Wollongong local I would love you to join in my classes. They are lots of fun and I can share lots of tips and and techniques that are sometimes a little tricky to share through a blog post.

Have you seen the Puzzle Slider Fun Fold Cards? I saw them recently and just had to create one myself. The one I saw was created by Sue Stampfield.
I couldn’t find one in Metric measurements so I worked in inches. I adjusted those measurements and then worked out the Metric for my lovely crafters who prefer centimetres.
I put together a video for you. I used the Florals in Blooms Paper but you can use whatever you have. It’s a cool card. Even if you don’t like to do puzzles I think you will like to create one of these.
Here is the Video for you. The card is shown further below.
This is the card I had created earlier.
Don’t forget the inside.
Follow along with the video.
The Written Tutorial will be sent out for my Newsletter Subscribers next week. Are you a subscriber? I send out a project Tutorial each week. You can head to the Side Bar on my blog and click on the tab.
Happy Creating a Puzzle Slider Card,

I made this card some months ago but forgot to show you. So here you are in all it’s glory. Well maybe not quite…
I paired the Pretty Florals stamps and dies with the Perennial Lavender Paper. They work well together I think.
To give it some variation rather than just having a piece of the paper as a mat I cut 2 different width strips and layered it on the card mat. It also came about because I had a piece of the paper not quite wide enough so cut it to give that variation.
I have show quite a few cards with the Pretty Florals Bundle already. If you missed them do a search for the Tag of Pretty Florals and they should come up. Or do a little scrolling. 🙂
It is good that the Perennial Lavender Paper is still around. We get to use those gorgeous colours for a little longer.
The Sentiment is from the Loveliest Tree Stamp Set.

Hidden Gems Tuesday. How cute is this one?? This is the Long Time No See Stamp Set. It has 2 cute animal characters and you can make their body long or short with their colourful knitted sweaters.
How fun is this long-bodied Dachshund. It works well with a slimline card.
This is the Long Time No See Stamp Set.
This set is great for Birthdays and Christmas. And really anytime you want to send a card to let someone know you are thinking of them. At the very least these happy characters would make you smile.
If you want to send a card to make someone smile then this is a great one.

I hope I have brought a smile to your face anyway today.
I have been playing more with the Floral Charm Suite which includes the Charming Day Bundle and the gorgeous Floral Charm Paper.
This is one of the recent cards. The dark colours are hard to photograph so hope it’s not too dark for you to see.
It did take some time to colour the flowers to be honest. I wasn’t sure about getting the colours right but I’m putting it out there for you anyway. I used the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and touch of the Light Pecan Pie I think.
It’s simply a piece of the Floral Charm paper on a Mossy Meadow Card Base. The strip of Floral Charm Paper helps to highlight the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is diecut with one of the Textured Notes Dies.
Here is the Charming Day Bundle. See it more -> HERE.

It’s Hidden Gems Day. Sometimes products get lost with the Online Exclusives. Today let’s check out the Jolly Holly Bundle.
The Bundle includes the Jolly Holly Stamp Set and Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder.
The Stamp Set has very versatile sentiments that you can use together or on their own in different fonts. And it has cute simple Christmas images.
I particularly like the Hybrid Embossing Folder though. The Embossing Folder can add a textured background to your Christmas projects. BUT what about the dies to use with it. The large die cuts the Holly leaves out giving a partial Pop-Up effect.
You can see how it partially cuts the leaves in the photo above. The ones below shows the embossed effect. You can colour the Holly leaves or using the Two-Tone cardstock rub over it with a light sanding block.

Back with Sunday Suites today. Let’s look at this lovely, lovely Floral Impressions Suite.
This one is a new one released as an Online Exclusives. You have bright, cheery florals in the paper and great flower stamp images that can layer together to give detail to the flowers. Dies are available to diecut the flowers with additional leaves and oval frames. There are also extra elements to decorate your projects.
This is the Floral Impressions Suite Collection.

Foiled Frames and Labels Ephemera Pack
This is the Impressions Abloom Bundle. This is a 2-Step Stamp Set. There are flower dies to diecut the stamped flowers but also there are “centre lines” to diecut within the flowers to create an etched or indented look. If you can describe it like that.
The Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. Look at those bright colours. It is 12″x12″. 2 each of 6 Double sided designs. The colours in this paper are: Crushed Curry, Darling Duckling, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Peach Pie, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush
The Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder 15.2cm x 15.9cm (6″x 6 1/4″). It’s a large one so keep that in mind.
The Foiled Frames and Labels Ephemera Pack. This is a nice addition to a suite. They gold border edges to the frames. These give a touch of elegance to your projects. There are 6 sheets in total: 2 each of 3 designs. The Sheet size measures 12.7cm x 17.8cm 5″ x 7″. So that gives you some ideas of the size. Check the samples below to see how to use.
So now you really want to see how these all look on a project. Check these out created by Stampin’ Up! Artists.
You can see the detail with the Embossing Folder on this one below. Also I love the etching you get within the flowers created when cutting with the dies.
You can see how the frame and the embossing folder comes out on the card below.
What do you think of this suite? Yes there have been flower suites but I think the bright colours in the paper and being a 2 Step floral images is very pretty. I love the “etched” lines you can create within the flowers too.
If you like this suite and are in Australia I would love to help you get this. You can head to my store -> HERE. Or contact me directly.
