CHRISTMAS IN JULY BLOG HOP!

Today I am hopping along for Christmas in July with a great group of crafters.  There is some amazing talent in this group and I am honoured to be joining in.

For the Blog Hop we are featuring products from the new Holiday Catalogue beginning on August 4th.  I am excited to start creating with these products.  I know we may not feel too much like Christmas yet but once you start creating with these fantastic products you will quickly get in the mood.

For the Blog Hop today I am using the Dove Of Hope Bundle which has the gorgeous stamp set and dies.  I made 2 projects to share with you today.

The first card is a more simple design.  The dove is diecut with Whisper White card and it really shows off the crispness of the dove as well as the little embossed details.  Don’t you love the detail in the wings??

To complete the card I used a piece of the ‘Tis the Season Designer Series Paper adhered on to a Real Red card mat.  The leaves were stamped over the Garden Green card base in Garden Green ink.  For the sentiment it was stamped in black on to white card and then punched with the Timeless Label Punch.

The next card is a stepped up version.

The red card mat was diecut with one of the Ornate Layers Dies with piece of the ‘Tis the Season Designer Series Paper added.

On this dove I diecut it with some of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.  This paper is gorgeous and has flocked designs on vellum There are 3 different designs in the pack.  I went for this “flourish” style.  I wasn’t sure how it would work.  I did find that some of the flocked pattern was flattened but you still get the pattern on the dove.

The sentiment this time was heat embossed in gold on to white card and punched with the Timeless Label Punch.  To add a little extra shine I cut a small strip of Gold Foil and flagged the end to go under the sentiment.

Now you are off to continue your Hop.  I hope the links work for you. 🙂

WHALE DONE – BIG DEAL!

I have been playing with the Whale Done Bundle this past week getting ready for my Whale Done class.  This Whale Done is such a cute set.

While I can’t share you the cards we are doing for class.  You have to join in to see those ones I have a couple of other cards I am going to share with you.

Today’s card is very simple in design.  It uses the beautiful Whale of A Time Paper.  I wasn’t sure what to do with this particular print.  It is such a large design.  But really what more do you need.  I trimmed the piece down carefully to fit the card front so as not to lose much of the print.  It was then adhered to a Pretty Peacock Card base.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black and diecut with the Stitched Shapes Dies.

If you notice the turtle it has 2 colours on it.  To get this effect, I stamped the turtle first in Granny Apple Green and then sponged lightly around the edge of the turtle with Pretty Peacock ink.  It gives a cool effect. Then fussy cut with scissors.  Sorry no dies for this one. 🙂

The Whale Done Class is available Online or Face-to-Face.

Head back one or 2 posts to get all the details.

Have a great weekend.  Hope you get some creating in.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #107 – CREATING WATER SCENES WITH MOUNTAIN AIR!

Wednesday’s WOW! #107.  I wanted to share a little tip I discovered – although maybe you had already discovered it – or maybe not!  Today’s tip – how to create easy water scenes with the Mountain Air stamp set.

The Mountain Air stamp set is a great one to create mountainous scenes.  I found when you turn the treeline stamp upside down it looks like water. You can stamp that under the mountains with the trees off the edge of the card so you won’t even see the trees.  I thought it was clever anyway. And it extends the scenes that you can create.

Below is a Card in a Box I shared recently.  You can see the water edge under the mountains at the back.

Below is a card I created some time ago  For some reason I stamped it in green on this card when I look at it … It could be a grassy field too right. 🙂

Hope you find it helpful when you use your set.

Haven’t got the Mountain Air Bundle yet? In Australia, you can order it through my store now -> HERE. It’s really not that expensive at $88 AUD.

Please use the Host Code: 3MDURVQZ

Don’t forget Bonus Days are on Orders over $90 receive a $9 voucher to redeem in August so throw in some Dimensionals with that to get your code.

If you need help with your order then contact me directly on 0439 844574 and I can place it for you.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great day,

A PAPER HUG WITH COMFORT AND HOPE!

This was another card created with the Comfort and Hope stamp set.

A paper hug with Comfort and Hope stamp set

To be honest I wasn’t sure where I was going with this card. Even though it is a simple card it took a long time. The sentiment alone took way longer than it should have!! After several variations I settled for this in the end. Still not sure whether I am loving it, but hey …I thought I would share it with you anyway.

I love the “Paper Hug” saying though.  That was stamped on Petal Pink and diecut with one of the Ornate Frames Dies.

Have you noticed the Comfort and Hope stamp set? It’s a great one for those caring cards.  And great for sending Paper Hugs. 🙂

In Australia? I would love you to order it from me. See it my store now -> HERE.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #106 – 6 DIFFERENT LABELS WITH THE LOVELY LABELS PUNCH!

Today for Wednesday’s WOW! #106.  Let’s look at the versatility of the new Lovely Labels Punch.

Did you know that this one punch can create 6 unique labels.  Pretty cool right!

There are 2 different label styles on the punch and each punch can punch 3 size widths in–1″ (2.5 cm), 3/4″ (1.9 cm), and 1/2″ (1.3 cm).   They create a different type of shape when they are punched depending on the size. That’s pretty clever.

To use the punch, cut the card to the width you want the label to be eg. 2.5cm, 1.9cm or 1.3cm.  Slide the card in to the track on the punch being sure to go right to the end of the punch – And then punch away! Easy as. 🙂

Want to see a video of this fun punch?  Check out the Stampin’ Up! one below.

See the pretty tags below.

The Lovely Labels Punch can be ordered on it’s own for $40 AUD. See it -> HERE.

OR as part of the Lovely You Bundle for $73.75 AUD.  See it -> HERE.

Don’t forget it’s Bonus Days.  Grab your $9 voucher to redeem in August for every $90 order you spend in July.  It’s a great way to spread your savings – and save!

If you are in Australia I would love to help you with your order.

You can order online at the links above or you can contact me directly on email jghayward@yahoo.com and I will place the order for you. Every order I send a little Thank You card and something little to say Thanks.  I do appreciate each and every order.

Have a great day,

SEE MY SWAPS FROM THE 2020 ANNUAL STAMPIN’ UP! CATALOGUE!

The last 2 posts I have shared swaps that I received from a Card Swap I joined in on with the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. If you missed them do pop back and see them in the last posts.

Today I thought I would share more details on the cards I created for the swaps.

This card was for the Round 1 Swap Group. I have used the set Comfort and Hope.

I picked the colours for this card from some of the Designer Series Paper from last year I think.  Now I can’t remember which pack.  The colours are Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss and Mango Melody.  I wouldn’t have thought to put these colours together.

The Stitched circle with the swirly circles needed something underneath and I didn’t have any Blackberry Bliss Ribbon so I diecut 2 little banners from the Tasteful Labels Dies set and added them underneath.  It just adds another element.

I love sending cards in the mail “Just Because” so I really like this Paper Hug sentiment.

My swap card for Round 2 Group  I used the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

The colours used were Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. When I was assembling the card I thought it was missed something so I added a vellum scallop circle using the die in the Tasteful Labels Dies set. It helps “ground” the flower. I used one of the other dies in the set to diecut the white  card with the flower stamped on it.

The Mint Macaron card was embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder.  I added a little Linen Thread bow to finish it off.

I love joining in swaps and seeing all the amazing creations that I receive. It’s great getting the new ideas.

Have a great week. I hope it’s a creative one for you.

2020 ANNUAL CATALOGUE SWAPS – ROUND 2!

Yesterday I shared some Card Swaps that I received recently.  That was Round 1 of the Swaps.  If you missed that be sure to head back a post.

Today is Round 2.  I think the Forever Fern Bundle was a popular choice for this round. Once again I am not mentioning individual names for each swap but Thank You to those who swapped with me.

Lots of flowery cards.  The card on the top left on the photos above is a Dutch Fold card which is cool.  The one below that is a shaker card with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. My swap for this round is the card on the bottom right in the photo just above with the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

I will share more details on my swaps in next post so be sure to stop by.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

PS  Don’t forget it’s Bonus Days time.  Every $90 you spend in July you receive a $9 voucher to redeem in August.  If you need help to place your order I am happy to help you.

2020 ANNUAL CATALOGUE SWAPS!

Recently I joined a Card Swap with some other Australian Demonstrators using products from the 2020 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.  Card swaps are great as you get to see projects with other stamps you may not have or using colours or techniques that you don’t normally see.

I joined in 2 rounds in the swaps so I got LOTS of cards.  It meant I created 2 different cards for these but that’s OK. 🙂

I am going to share Round 1 cards today and Round 2 tomorrow.  I have included my card swap but I will share more detail of these in a later post.

I’m not posting individual names on these cards but for those who swapped with me – Thank You.

If you would like more information on any of the cards or would like a close-up photo of any please drop me a comment.
