SUNDAY SUITES – NATURE WALK SUITE

Sunday Suites with the Nature Walk Suite. I love greens and Nature is my happy place so I do love this one. Although I have to say I haven’t got it – yet…

Here is all that is included in the Nature Walk Suite.

The Suite includes:

  • The Nature’s Symphony Bundle (Stamps and Dies)
  • The Nature Walk Designer Series Paper. 12 Sheets of 12″x12″
  • Natual Hues 12″x 12″ Textured Specialty Paper
  • Secret Sea 1cm (3/8″) Bordered Open Weave Ribbon 9.1m (10 yards) in length
  • Faux Bronze Pentagons 90 Adhesives Backed Pieces 5mm, 6mm

The Nature’s Symphony Bundle includes stamps and dies that cut out leaves and sprigs. Some of the dies have little well as peek-through patterns that adds that extra beautiful detail to your projects. The versatile sentiments and leafy designs are great for crafting for any occasion – including those male cards…

The Nature Walk paper has distressed patterns adding an organic touch. Also some textured Specialty paper to tear or sand to add more rustic effect.

The Colours in this paper are: Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock, Secret Sea.

Also the Natural Hues Textured Paper that features a textured surface in earthy hues of cream, gold and tan.

Then you have the little embellishments and ribbon.

Check these projects out. These were created by Stampin’ Up! artists so I can’t claim them but I love how the dies have been used on them.

FLIP IT FUN FOLD CARD + VIDEO

Today’s video is a Flip It card. I don’t know what it’s actual name is but that’s what I call it. I’m going to show you how.

This is the card.

The front panel stands up when you Flip It.

Then when it lays flat.

It is a little larger than a standard card so you may need to make an envelope to fit or give it directly to your special person. You may want to explain how it flips too so they can see the fun of it (and give you a WOW!)

I used the cute Festive Friends Stamps and Dies. You can create this for any occasion whether it is Christmas or Birthday or some other special event.

Stampin' Up!

MOSSY MEADOW FLORAL CHARM CARD ~

I have been playing more with the Floral Charm Suite which includes the Charming Day Bundle and the gorgeous Floral Charm Paper.

This is one of the recent cards. The dark colours are hard to photograph so hope it’s not too dark for you to see.

It did take some time to colour the flowers to be honest. I wasn’t sure about getting the colours right but I’m putting it out there for you anyway. I used the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and touch of the Light Pecan Pie I think.

It’s simply a piece of the Floral Charm paper on a Mossy Meadow Card Base. The strip of Floral Charm Paper helps to highlight the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is diecut with one of the Textured Notes Dies.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW 168 – A HAPPY ACCIDENT WITH STAZON!

I made this card recently. It resulted from a Happy Accident. I thought I would show you for our Wednesday’s WOW #168.

This is one of the flowers from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set. You could use any image though.

I was using it with Stazon and after I had stamped I wiped over the stamp with Stazon Cleaner and stamped it on scrap paper. It made the lines bleed but it looked cool. So I tried it again and this time I stamped on White card resulting in this effect giving it a washed out look.

I have tried it a few times since to replicate it. The results are different all the time. Some tips – Wipe over the stamp with the Stazon Cleaner. Stamp it off on to scrap paper very lightly first. Press firmly on to your card. Let it dry completely before finishing the card.

Be sure to clean your stamp carefully after you have stamped it.

Give it a go and see what you come up with.

PRETTY FLORALS “LEFTOVER” CARD

Well that sounds exciting doesn’t it?? A Leftovers Card. It can be good to use those little Leftover bits though.

I was making a card for someone on the weekend. It just wasn’t working for them I thought. I put that idea aside and pulled out some “leftover” bits to get a card together for my card stash. (I will get back to the special card later). So, this card came together with mostly “leftovers”.

I had a large flower and the edging and also a leaf from a previous project that I didn’t use. I just diecut some extra leaves and added it to the flower. I added some ink to highlight the flower. These were with the Pretty Florals Dies.

I had a piece of white card with a sentiment stamped already so cut it down to fit. This sentiment is from the Notes and Totes Bundle. I already had the embossed white with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder so I added strips on each side of the paper.

Here is the card.

So leftovers can be handy sometimes so pull them out and have fun creating with them.

STAMPIN’ UP! NATURAL BOTANICALS IN SOFT SEA FOAM

This was the first time I have played with the Stampin’ Up! Natural Botanicals Stamp Set. I received this set months ago. It was a bonus pick during the second month of Sale-A-Bration. So it was so good to get it for Free!

This is a reverse stamp set. Which means you can stamp with either side. There is the detailed image then flip the stamp over. Some of the solid images will “fill” in the detail. Keep in mind though that some stamps when reversed will stamp the opposite way. But you can use them on their own.

Here we have the card in Soft Sea Foam. I love this soft green colour.

The Soft Sea Foam card mat was embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.

Having the heat embossed sentiment on black gives the card a POP. The words are from the Simply Said Stamp Set.

A BEACHY CARD WITH THE NOTES AND TOTES BUNDLE ~

I have recently got the Notes and Totes Bundle. I have seen so many cute cards with this one. So I had a play this week.

This was one of the first cards I made with it. I will say it took a little bit to see how the little tote worked. And when I came to make a little tote without a card I was uncertain with that. But that one is for another day and I will share some tips.

For now this cute card. It gives you those Beach Day Vibes.

The actual Tote is created with the Nests of Winter Paper. (Did you know that was still current??). The pattern works well for a Tote.

You then Diecut the little pieces – the straps and handles and base for the Tote, then you have the “cream tube” and the water bottle. Then assembling the sunglasses. I had a couple of attempts working out those. (That will be for another day too).

For the “sand” I tore a strip of Crumb Cake card then stamped the “dotted” stamp over it.
