STAR OF LIGHT CHRISTMAS!

I realised I hadn’t posted these cards yet.  They have been sitting in my drafts folder for weeks!  Oops! Now you can get to see them.  🙂

I didn’t get this set, Star of Light at first when the Holiday catalogue came out.  I wasn’t sure about it and after all I still had the star framelits from the Annual Catalogue.  I got to play with this set at our stamping weekend, and well … I kinda liked it.  I may have this set now.  😉

This is the first card I made.

cherry-cobbler-star

The “swirly” star pattern is heat embossed in Copper.  The sentiments and small stars are stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I cut one of the larger stars in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the smaller one is cut from Copper Foil sheet with the matching Starlight Thinlits.  A pearl is added for some glam.

This is quite a simple card really but makes and impact I think.

For the next card the layout is based on the Freshly Made Sketches #217.

gold-star

The base card is Real Red and the paper is from the Candy Cane Lane DSP pack.  I heat embossed the “dots’ in gold on white card.  There are so many star shapes in this Thinlits pack to give you so many options. (You can see them down below).  I cut a large one in Real Red and the more detailed on in Gold Foil.  Before I added it to the card front I looped around some Gold thread.

The sentiment is heat embossed in Gold onto vellum.  Just be gentle when heat embossing the vellum. 🙂

Here is the set and the Thinlits if you haven’t noticed them yet.  What combinations can you make??  Can you see the sentiments in the set too? They are really lovely. With these gorgeous sentiments and the varying shaped Thinlits, it doesn’t take much to make quick fancy cards with them.

star-of-light

They are available for $84.50 as a bundle in my store HERE.   So why not go and grab them.

Don’t forget with a minimum order of $55 you will receive the limited edition Pop Up Scrap Bin for Free from me as a Thank you!

See you soon,

ONSTAGE LIVE BRISBANE REVIEW!

It has been over a week now since I have returned from Brisbane for Onstage Live.  I haven’t stopped since getting back.  I now have had a few minutes to look at the photos I took and thought I would share a few of the fun moments.

20161103_134137

It was very exciting to be a part of. Brisbane held the Live event running over 3 days of fun presentations, seeing gorgeous new products and great business sessions.  Some of the presentations were telecast to centres around the world where the Onstage Local events were being held for one day.

Brisbane is a beautiful city – with even a beach right in the middle of the city!!

brisbane

The event opened with these amazing guys. Swagamama is a local hip-hop break-dance group.  Their performance was incredible with their choreography and acrobatics. You didn’t know where to look next.

20161103_140029

Even the President Rich Jutkins is not afraid to stamp.  He did a good job too. 🙂

20161103_163318

20161103_162913

Shelli of course demonstrated some gorgeous projects.

20161103_145054

I am not going to share too many of the new products at the moment but I will share just one project Shelli made.  Isn’t it gorgeous with the new Dragonfly Thinlits.  Ooh! look is that Watercolour pencils?? 😉

20161103_144847

There were so many fantastic presentations showing new products coming up in the Occasions Catalogue and for Sale-A-Bration.  So many great new techniques too that I just have to try. I might show you some of the projects at a later date though so I don’t give too much away at the moment.  😉

At the end of the last day things were going a little downhill – fast!! I won’t say too much about this but it was very hard for Sara and Shelli to keep it together.  It is a bit blurry but just shows the mayhem! Sweet innocent shelli 😉

20161105_153115

We already had Rich showing how he could stamp and he mentioned then it would be so much worse if he was on stage with Sara and Shelli.  So ……  They got him up right at the end for him to finish the project.  Pressure was on!

20161105_154208

Here is my name badge with ribbons. It is only a small little collection from others but I was pleased with my achievements for this past year.

It was so good to see Shannon West again from the US Home Office.  She is so gorgeous.

20161105_162013

Onstage is such a fun, inspirational event.  I am looking forward to Onstage Local in Sydney in April.

Thanks for looking.  It was just a little insight in to the fun.

FOXY CATS!

Since I have got back from Stampin’ Up! Onstage last week I have been running.  I think in circles more so but anyway… I haven’t had a lot of time to go through my photos to share with you as yet but I hope to very soon.  In the meantime I still have cards to share.

Today is a card with cats!!

These cats are made with the Fox Builder Punch.  I am not a fan of foxes so I haven’t got this punch but I used this punch on our stamping weekend.  I found this idea on Pinterest so thought I would make a card with this.   I thought it was a cute idea.

foxy-friends-cats

The cats are stamped in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso using the ‘Foxy Friends’ set. The sentiment is from the set ‘Better Together’. The leaf and the curvy spray of leaves is from the ‘Foxy Friends’ set too. A good thing with the stamps being photopolymer I could curve the spray before I inked it to match the White oval piece that I had already cut with the Oval Layering Framelits.

The base is Sweet Sugarplum and the paper is from the Playful Palette Paper stack. Before I adhered the cute cats and the Oval sentiment piece I swirled around some Silver Thread and tied around some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched ribbon.

These cats look pretty happy don’t you think. 🙂

Have an awesome day wherever you may be.

cards, Onstage, swaps

THIS WAS MY ONSTAGE SWAP!!

As you may know the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event is on right now and I am in Brisbane for the Live event.  It is very exciting!  Part of the fun of the event is swapping with other demonstrators. It’s great sharing ideas and meeting up with others.

I had grand plans for swaps again this year but with college assignments, Stampin’ Up! stuff, family stuff and life it just didn’t work out.  I had my design worked out though.

Although I didn’t get to make a number of them as swaps I made one ready for the display board at Onstage.

So here it is.  I was inspired by cards on Pinterest for this.  This is using the set ‘Paisleys and Posies’.

paisley-circle

To create this. First cut a circle using the Layering Circle Framelits from scrap paper. The scrap paper is the same size as your Whisper White mat and you will cut it near the top of your paper. This is your mask piece.

Lay the scrap piece over your white card mat and stamp your images. On this card I have used Flirty Flamingo. Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron inkpads. Stamp your sentiment on the white card in Black.

I layered the card on to a Peekaboo Peach card base. Then finish with a diecut flower from the ‘Paisleys Thinlits’ and an adhesive pearl in the centre.

I hope you like the card anyway. At least I can share it with you.

We are having a fantastic time at Onstage. I so love catching up with my demonstrator friends.  I can’t wait to share the exciting new products coming very soon. So watch this space. 🙂

Now just before I sign off today too since we are talking about Onstage and swapping. I posted Live on my business Facebook page yesterday about the craziness of swapping. You might be able to catch that there still if you head to my page. The link is in the right hand side bar. My first attempt at Facebook Live but I hope to bring more to you soon. 🙂

I hope you have an awesome weekend.

Jenny

cards, Christmas

HOLLY JOLLY IN MINT!

Here is another card using Holly Jolly Greetings.  I have CASED this off Pinterest but I quite liked the idea.  I am not sure who the original creator is.

mint-macaron-joy

The base is Mint Macaron.  The snowflakes are stamped in Mint Macaron.  The “JOY” is heat embossed in silver which gives a nice shiny finish. The “spots” are stamped in Smoky Slate.  I liked how the ribbon is tucked behind the sentiment.

To do this cut a larger circle from your stamped Whisper White card.  Wrap the Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around the white card before adhering it to your card base.  After you have heat embossed the “JOY” sentiment then cut with a smaller circle from the Layering Circles and raise it off your card with Dimensionals.  Add some Rhinestones for the bling factor.

Thanks for visiting.  Stop by again soon,

HOLLY JOLLY GREETINGS IS PRETTY DAPPER!

OK, some times these blog post titles gets a bit strange.  BUT, well, what else do I call it?? 🙂

This card is using the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set which you will find in the Annual Catalogue.  I looked over this set so many times in the catalogue but on our weekend I got to play with it and now I love it.  I might have even bought my own set now!

dapper-denim-merry

The Base card is Dapper Denim.  Hence the Dapper in the title 🙂

First off I Heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on to Whisper White card.  Then sponged Dapper Denim ink over the card.  I sponged it a bit heavier over the snowflakes. (maybe a bit too  heavy, but anyway!). Ink it until you are happy with the colour.  Then you can go over it with a tissue to wipe off the ink from the embossed areas.  I really like the magic of this as you wipe over the images.  It makes the images shine. I added some stars stamped in Dapper Denim over the card.

I wanted to add some copper to this.  I matted the card onto some Copper Foil Sheet. Just a tip:  I cut a rectangle from the centre of the copper mat so I don’t waste it as it is just hidden under the cardstock.  I am sure you can have a use for that.

I cut a “merry” from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits from Copper foil too. The Christmas is from the Holly Jolly Greetings set. I thought it needed something else so added a Copper Mini Pinecone embellishment in the corner tied with some Baker’s Twine.  I think I have been converted to copper too.

Hope you like it.  Have a super wonderful day wherever you are.
