DAPPER DENIM SITTING HERE!

I finally got to play with this set the other day.  I have had it since we received it at Onstage.  I CASED this card off a Facebook group I am on.

This is using a new set ‘Sitting Here’.  I coloured the images with blender pen and inkpads and touched it up with the markers.  The card base and oval mat is Crumb Cake. The embossing folder I used on the Dapper Denim card mat is the new one ‘Floral Affection’.  There is 2 in the set.  I love these Embossing Folders.

I think Dapper Denim is fast becoming a popular colour when I speak to people.  What do you think of the colour?

WETLANDS DIRECT TO PAPER TECHNIQUE!

We made this card at our team meeting earlier this month. Thanks Barbara for sharing it. I thought I would show you how you can make it too.  First let me show you the card.

Wetlands

I have used the ‘Wetlands’ stamp set.  I am glad this is still around.  I haven’t had a lot of time to play with this set.  I have used the Direct to Paper technique to create the background.

 DIRECT TO PAPER TUTORIAL

1. Choose your ink, I have used Crumb Cake and Soft Sky.  You can use regular Whisper White cardstock for this technique. With the Crumb Cake ink place it over your cardstock near the edge.  With the inkpad tilted very slightly upwards swipe the cardstock across the card starting at just off the edge of your card just in the lower half of the card.  You may want to repeat the swiping a couple of times until you are happy with it. Always starting off the cardstock each time.  It is fine to have white patches showing.

2. Now using the Soft Sky repeat the swiping in the top half of the card.  Repeat the swiping a couple of times until you are happy with the coverage.

3.  When you are finished stamp the image and the greeting from the ‘Wetlands’ set using Black ink.

Each time you do this technique it will be different – which is the fun part.  You never know what you are going to get.  Try it with different stamps and see what you get.  I can’t wait to try this again.

BOTANICALS AND TIMELESS TEXTURES!

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for our team swaps. It was a really busy time but I was determined to make some. A number of the lovely people in our team had given me swaps at the previous meeting and at Onstage and I didn’t have any so I really had to make up for it.  Although I still don’t think I made up for the lovely cards I received. 🙂

This card was CASED from a card on a Facebook group I am on.  Yes, I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to think for myself.  I loved the idea though of teaming two of my favourite products and with one of my favourite colours.

I have used Timeless Textures and the greeting is from ‘Tin of Cards’.  I am having a great time with the Botanical Builders Thinlits. I cut a Mint Macaron flower with them and then sponged some Mint Macaron ink on the edges. I added a black centre to the flower.  I think it just “pops” it a little.  A little bling with the Rhinestone is good for the sparkle factor.

BOTANICAL BUILDERS MEETS DOTTY ANGLES!

Just a quick one today.  This is one of the cards we are making at my class this Saturday 21st at 2pm.  There is still room if you are in the area.  $15.  The cards are a mix of current products with some retiring stamps.

This card uses the Botanical Builders Thinlits which I am really loving at the moment.  I have teamed it with the Dotty Angles set which is leaving.  Did you know I have only just inked this set up. BAD!! I have so many uninked sets.

ONLINE CATALOGUE SEND OFF IS ON TONIGHT!

It’s on tonight, my Catalogue Send-off and you can join in wherever you are in the world! It’s happening on Facebook.  You can even wear your PJ’s.  Here are the details.

Head to the Facebook page event HERE.  Click on the event to say you are interested or to join and then make sure you are there at least 5 minutes beforehand.  Throughout the time you will earn points to receive prizes so to Kick off make sure you Like and share the event (or my page) for 20 BONUS POINTS!

We are saying Good-Bye to some loved products from the 2015 Catalogue. We will have some fun games and I will share a few cute projects. All while you join in and win some prizes. You can join wherever you are in the world but only Non-Demonstrators and Australian residents are eligible for prizes.

(Now I am still not technical savvy yet so all the conversation will be through the event page not via video – YET!!   It will help during the event to have the event page open in a separate window so you can keep up with the conversation there not through your general News feed).

Make sure you are there with your catalogue (or download it from the website) and maybe even the retirement list.
