GIFTS TOSSED UP WITH THE STAMPIN’ UP! SURFING SANTA STAMP SET.

I have been playing a bit with the Surfing Santa set this week. This one is a great one for our warm, sunny Christmas.

I had this idea with this one to have the gifts look like they were tossed up on the waves. This is the card. I have to say though it wasn’t quite what was in my head. Something is not quite right. But maybe it’s an idea for when you use this set.

The paper is from the Reindeer Days pack which works ok with it.

This is the Surfing Santa Stamp Set.

Very cool isn’t it. Not just for Christmas though. I think the wave and the sun would be great with the Beach Day stamp set. I must try that.

Stampin' Up! Grassy Grove - Deer in the Forest

DEER IN THE FOREST WITH STAMPIN’ UP! GRASSY GROVE

I have just returned from travelling in parts of the US for 3 weeks. While it’s good to travel it’s always good to return home don’t you think?

We saw so many road signs while we were driving watching out for deer. I have to say we only saw a small group early on.

I made this card just before I left. All those signs reminded me of this card.

It’s a cute little deer peering out from the forest using the Grassy Grove dies. You don’t need a lot for the background. I added a piece of the Thoughtful Journey Paper behind the diecut.

Have you got the Thoughtful Journey Paper? It’s so pretty.

You can check it online in my store -> HERE.

FAUX TEARING TECHNIQUE FUN!

Our last class was creating with the Faux Tearing Technique. It was a lot of fun looking back at this older technique. Have you tried it?

This was one of the cards we made. This one using the Irresistible Blooms Stamps and Dies.

It is very easy technique to do. All you need is Blending Brushes and ink and use any stamps you have. You can use scrap paper for the masks or use the Masking Paper or large Sticky Note Paper.

Tear your paper so it is at least as wide as your white card. Position that over your card at the top and bottom leaving a gap on the card in the centre section.

Blend over some ink on the white card building up your colour. Hold your paper firmly so it doesn’t move. I then moved the paper away from the inked edge just slightly and added some more ink for a light edge. Then return your masks to the original position and stamp over the images having some go off the edge of the masked area.

Finish your card as you like.

Are you game to try it?

Happy crafting,

Jenny

SWEET SUNDAY WITH THE MUSICAL JAMBOREE STAMP SET!

It’s a cute sing, song with the Muscial Jamboree Stamp Set for Sweet Sunday.

Isn’t this character having such a great time singing his heart out??

Stampin' Up! Musical Jamboree Stamp Set

(Card created by Stampin’ Up! artists)

On the circle diecut with one from the Spotlight in Nature dies the image was stamped and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends. The clouds were first cut from the Hot Air Balloon Dies and then placed on the circle creating a mask. Then brush over the sky with some ink with the Blending Brushes.

On the Timber 3D Embossing Folder ink was swiped over the inside of the folder. You can swipe over with the Ink Pad or use the Brayer with ink. Then add your Balmy Blue card mat and run it through the machine. This adds an extra dimension to you card and highlights the embossed detail.

So enjoy a little sing along with this cutie for our Sweet Sunday. Have a great week ahead. I hope you escape to your craft space this week.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY WITH STAMPIN’ UP! FROSTED FOREST!

This card is one of the cards we made at our Christmas in July event last weekend. This one uses the Frosted Forest Bundle.

While this bundle does have the masks this card just uses the stamps and dies.

Firstly stamping 3 trees on the white card mat. Basic Beige has a subtle green tinge to it making it work really well with the colour tones on this card. Just a tip: Stamp the centre tree first and then stamp the other 2 either side. That helps them to be more centred.

The larger tree was stamped on Old Olive card in Old Olive ink and then diecut. The sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set and diecut with one of the dies from the die set.

Adding a little strip of patterned paper adds an extra element to a very simple card. The paper is from the Flowering Zinnias Paper pack.

This is the Greetings of the Season Bundle. There are a variety of greetings for the festive sesason you can put together or use just on there own. They are in 2 different font styles. I particularly like the die shapes. You can use them for any occasion. And they have a stitched edge!! Don’t we like that.

This one is the Golden Greenery Bundle. With traditional images of greenery and bells and berries. There are a number of co-ordinating dies for these too.

These are available as Online Exclusives. They can be ordered online or ordered directly in my store. HERE

CHRISTMAS IN JULY GOODIE BAGS~

Last weekend was my Christmas in July event. Lots of festive fun and crafting.

I will share the projects over the time but in this post I thought I would share the Goodie Bags everyone received.

They were just simple white Lunch Sack/Paper type bags. They had some of the Graceful Greenery Vellum and Berries and Pearls Adhesives. Along with some Christmas goodies. And chocolate. Must have chocolate. 🙂

For the bags I diecut the paper using the Perennial Postage Dies. It was a wide enough strip that was to have the bottom edge over the paper and the rest of the strip went through the inside of the die to lie on top. If that makes sense. Just so the bottom edge would be cut. The paper was retired paper from last year.

The label was diecut from the Greetings of the Seaon dies and the words were from the stamp set. To finish I diecut a green leaf spray with the Golden Greenery Dies and a Pearl to finish.

Stop back again and I will share the projects.

Jenny

SUPER CUTE BABY ONESIE CARD FOR SWEET SUNDAY!

It’s been a while since I have made a Onesie card. Just recently a cute little Great Nephew arrived. So it was time to make one again.

The card is in Boho Blue and I used the Countyside Inn Paper. The little butterfly motif is from the Perennial Postage Dies. This die embosses your card piece so I just trimmed around it. The little “belt buckle” is from these dies too.

This is the same size as a standard card.

Inside I added a piece of white card to write in.

You can see the past Onesie cards I have made -> HERE. This one I changed to a Dress -> HERE.

It is a matter though of cutting in a small amount on the sides and angling that to the bottom corners of the card. Then diecutting the circles for the legs and neckhole.

Would you like to make one? The original designer Lauren has the post -> HERE. Note she has removed the original tutorial but they are available as a PDF or SVG.

Hope you like it.

BIRTHDAY WISHES WITH STAMPIN’ UP! FROSTED FOREST ~

I have mentioned the Frosted Forest Bundle before. You most likely have seen it around too.

There are masks that you can layer up the colour using the Blending Brushes. Using the masks to build the colour.

It’s a great one for masculine cards too. This one is a Birthday Wishes one.

The background paper is from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper pack.

The leaf and the words are from the Loveliest Tree stamp set. They work so well together.

This is the Frosted Forest Bundle with the masks below.

The Loveliest Tree Bundle. Does it look familiar?
