WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #104 – LAYERING THE TASTEFUL LABELS DIES!

I have been using the Tasteful Touches Bundle A LOT lately.  While I love the stamp set I really love the dies.  I love that you can use them for your sentiments or for small images and I love that they can be layered together to use on your projects.  I thought you might like to see how to use them more.

Our Wednesday’s WOW! #104 – Layering the Tasteful Labels Dies.

Firstly, let’s look closely at the dies.  There are 10 dies in the set.  The largest die is 8.9cm x 6.4cm (3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″)

I know it may be a bit hard to tell in this image but with these dies some have a scored edge (top half) and others have a stitched edge (bottom half).  It’s great that there is the different looks in the one set.

Most of the dies can be layered together for your images or sentiments.  I have shown some below for you.  There are so many other options though.

How cool are they??

I hope you found the chart helpful to see ways that you can put your diecuts together. Be sure to PIN the image so you can refer back to it.

If you must have the Tasteful Labels Dies in your stash then they are now available in my store.  Grab them on their own or get them in the Bundle with the Tasteful Touches stamp set.

In Australia?  I would love to help you with ordering them. Visit -> HERE to order.

Please use the Host Code: YQQGTXQR

As a Thanks when you order them I will send you card kits for 2 cards I have created recently with them.  Some of the cards you can check back on the past posts.

Thanks for visiting me.

INCOLOR FEATHERS WITH TASTEFUL TOUCHES!

We have talked about the new Stampin’ Up! Incolors for 2020 and you have probably seen them a little around your travels on the internet.

This card I am sharing today uses the 5 new colours together.

I have used the feather from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and stamped them on each In color card in Basic Gray. Then they were diecut with one of the rectangle dies in the Stitched Rectangles.  Rather than adhere them in a straight line I thought it would be fun to stagger them on the card.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings set.

A fun little card perhaps?? 🙂

Have a great week,

Jenny

STAMPING AROUND THE WORLD JUNE BLOG HOP!

Time for another Blog Hop with the Stamping Around The World Tutorial Group.  We bring you different Tutorials each month and join together in a Blog Hop.

This month I am using the Tasteful Touches Bundle.  I have loved using this bundle the last few weeks.  It is so gorgeous.

Here is my project for you.

The flower is stamped over the white card with Basic Gray ink.  It just makes a simple statement.  The flower is stamped again on scrap white card and this one coloured with the Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  The flower is fussy cut out with scissors.

The sentiment piece is stamped on Sahara Sand and diecut with the small banner shape from the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I thought the flower was a little bare so added a scallop circle cut from Vellum.  This scallop is cut with the scallop die in the the Tasteful Label Dies set.

Card measurements:

Thick Whisper White card base: 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm   (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″)

Flirty Flamingo card: 8.5cm x 12.8cm (3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″)

Whisper White card: 8.1cm x 12.4cm (3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″)

Scrap card pieces: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Vellum.

Also used:

Tasteful Touches Bundle, Many Mates stamp set.

Memento Ink, Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends (light and Dark), Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, Adhesive Pearls.

LET’S COMPARE THE 2020 STAMPIN’ UP! INCOLORS!

You might have seen the 2020-2022 Incolors by now?? If not I will introduce them to you and I thought it would be good to compare them with our other lovely Stampin’ Up! colours.

We have Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee.

What one is your favourite?  I’m still not sure yet.  I do love green so Just Jade is a winner.  I have been using a bit of the Misty Moonlight recently and really loving the light shade of blue.

See how the colours compare to our other colours.

I will be sharing projects with you soon with these lovely colours – and the gorgeous products becoming available from Wednesday. 🙂

Have a great day,

Jenny

MOUNTAIN AIR – CARD IN A BOX!

I had been playing with the Mountain Air Bundle recently. Before I move on to sharing projects with new products I thought I would share this card with you.  It’s a Card In A Box.  I love making these and I hadn’t made one in a while.

This bundle works so well with these style boxes.  You have lots of different images and can build up your scene.

To create the Card In A Box I have teamed it with the Country Club Designer Series Paper (retiring).

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (carrying over).

The template for making the Card In A Box can be found on Di’s blog -> HERE.

I’m glad to see that this will be carrying over in to the new catalogue.  It gives me some more time to play with it later.

You can grab it now in store though -> HERE.

I have started playing with new products so I’m excited to be sharing some new projects with you starting next week.  EEK! New Catalogue!!!! 🙂

Have a great weekend,

Jenny

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #103 – WHICH WAY TO FOLD YOUR CARDS??

Wednesday’s WOW! #103.  I get asked this question so many times so I thought maybe it’s a question you have.  Which way do you fold your cards?? Inwards or Outwards after scoring???  I thought I would talk about this today for our Wednesday’s WOW!

I have my opinions but I did a little search on the internet to see what others might say. I have to say there were different opinions.

So which way do you fold your cards?  Do you fold them inwards.  By that I mean when you have scored the card and it is flat on the table. You have an indentation on the card where you have scored it. Do you take both sides and fold the sides in towards each other.  Or do you fold the sides away from each other and fold it outwards?

Personally I fold the card outwards, so the scored indentation is on the outside.

Firstly, before I tell you why I fold it that way.  Most crafters that I looked at online folded it this way.  Perhaps I missed some if you find it the other way.

I fold it this way as when you score the card you are breaking the tissue of the card.  This will enable some “give” to the card to be able to fold it.  On another note, scoring the card will give you a crisper fold.

If you fold it inwards you then end up with the underside of the card as your front.  I don’t know about you but I find that the cut edge has a little raised edge and I don’t like the look of that.

Maybe you have other reasons why you fold your card the way you do.  I would love to hear it.  Drop me a comment.

Now since we are on the topic of scoring your card.  The other question I get asked a lot is What do you cut your card with?? I use the Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer.  It has a cutting blade and a scoring blade making the job of preparing your card very quick and easy.  Everything is contained in one and you don’t have to muck around with different tools.

You can see the Paper Trimmer -> HERE.

Hope that helps you.

Have a great day,

Jenny

THROWBACK THURSDAY – BIRD BALLAD!

We are still saying Good-Bye to some favourites.  Today I wanted to look back at the Bird Ballad Suite for our Throwback Thursday.

This suite hasn’t been around for long but I have used it LOTS! I even had a whole Bird Ballad Week. So I think I will be sad to see it go. 😦

I wanted to share some projects with you using this Suite of products.  Perhaps you remembered them from way back then, or maybe these are all new to you.

I’m not going to give you full details of the projects.  If you click on the heading of each you can go back to the original post and see them.

ARTFULLY AWARE FOR THOSE CARING CARDS!

Today I wanted to highlight a special stamp set for you.  The Artfully Aware set.  This stamp set is a special one for those “difficult” cards to make.  The ones that you just want to say something but you don’t know what to say.  This stamp set can say it all for you.

I think we all could use this set – sadly. 😦

Here are some samples created by Stampin’ Up! artists.

This stamp set was designed by Million Dollar Sales Achiever Janet Wakeland.

This stamp set though is retiring. There are only a couple of weeks left – or until sold out.

BUT did you know that this stamp set is reduced.  Now available for $30 AUD

Do yourself a favour and grab this set before it goes.  I am sure you will find it very useful.  To be honest.  I think I need to grab this set for myself.

See it in my store now -> HERE.

Contact me directly if you would like me to place the order for you.

Have a great week.  I hope there is some creative time in your week.

Jenny
