COPPER CHRISTMAS TREE!

I realised I hadn’t shared this card with you.  We made this at our team meeting a couple of months ago. Thanks to Vanessa Webb for creating it and sharing it with us.

This is using the Perfectly Plaid set in the Holiday Catalogue and the Pine Tree Punch.

The Plaid tree was stamped with Pretty Peacock directly on to the Vanilla card base. The other tree was heat embossed in Copper on to Night of Navy card and punched out with the Pine Tree Punch. This tree is raised up with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Most Wonderful Time stamp set and heat embossed in Copper. A little star is added from the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements. At the top tie around some Night of Navy Baker’s Twine.

You can’t forget the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. Add a strip along the bottom with a strip of Night of Navy card.

Hope you like it??

Have a wonderful week. I hope that you have got a start on your Christmas Cards already.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

SUNDAY SUITES – LET IT SNOW!

I am back with another Sunday Suite today.  Before the weather heats up too much here I thought we should look at this cute Let It Snow Suite.  We don’t usually get snow at Christmas.  Well I can’t say never because strange things have happened … 🙂

Snowmen are not usually the first thing we think about for Christmas though with the heat and we are usually making sand men rather than snowmen.  But you gotta love these cute snowmen.

This is all the products available in the Let It Snow Suite Bundle.  You can buy them all with one item code (#153386 $230.25 AUD)

You can purchase the items individually too.

The Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You really need to see this paper closer (HERE).  It has glittery patterns on one side and the other side is more versatile prints you could use at any time of the year.

Red Glimmer Paper is back!! I am really happy this lovely shiny paper is available again.  $8.75 AUD for 2 sheets 12″x12″

Snowfall Accents Puff Paint.  This is a fun product.  Run it on to your project like a liquid glue.  Heat it up and see it puff up. You will just want to leave it a little time to let it set.

Way cool!  $7.75 AUD

Here are some samples with this fun suite.  You just have to love those snowmen having a fun time in the snow.

The little Tiny Keepsakes boxes are really sweet.  They make little treat holders measuring (5.4 x 4.8 x 4.8 cm).  Just the size for a chocolate or 2.  These are made with the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box dies ($59 AUD) or the bundle with the stamp set is $84.50 AUD

You can see more details about the Let It Snow Suite at my store -> HERE and order.  Please use the Host Code: 6CCRNYH6

CHRISTMAS GLEAMING HOLLY!

A couple of weeks ago on my Facebook and Instagram I shared a photo of holly that I was colouring.  I finished the card and thought I would show you now.

The holly was watecoloured using the Aquapainter and the ink refill. The card was inspired by a card in the catalogue (p30).  I changed mine a little but I have to say I was really happy how the holly turned out as I am not great at colouring.

Some of the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Paper was layered on to the Pretty Peacock card base before assembling the rest of the card.

The white rectangle was cut with a rectangle from the Rectangles Stitched Dies. You don’t need much to the rest of the card with the gorgeous Brightly Gleaming Specialty paper.  I punched an ornament out from the paper and the other one was stamped with one of the ornaments in the Christmas Gleaming stamp set on to Pretty Peacock card and punched out. What about the cute little Copper Star Designer Elements??

Glad that I can show you the finished card finally.  Hope you like it.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

WRAPPED IN PLAID CHRISTMAS GLEAMING!

Today I wanted to show you the second card everyone got to make at the Hot Chocolate Bar Holiday Catalogue Launch.  If you missed the other card head back a post.

This card is made using the Christmas Gleaming Bundle but I matched it with the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper. It gives it a totally different look.

I made this card for a swap group I have been in too.  I will show you the other cards I received in the swap in a later post.

So this is the card.  It’s a half-fold card.  That’s what I call it anyway.

The card was inspired by a card by Julie Davison.  It was using a totally different stamp set and paper but I liked the idea.

To create the card, cut your card vertically in half giving you a long piece of card.  Score that in half.  Then I cut one section of it in half.  It’s a very easy fold to do but something a little different.

I cut a length of the Wrapped in Paper and punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch.  You can create it any length you like.  The width though is 5cm (2″) so it can fit in the punch.

The ornament was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on white card and punched with the Gleaming Ornament Punch.  It was then layered on a Cherry Cobbler circle cut with the Stitched Circles dies.  The little flourishes were stamped in Shaded Spruce on the front of the card.

Here is the inside.  Adhere a piece of White card inside and you will see this from the front which I stamped the holly on. The little dots are stamped in Crumb Cake around the holly.

It’s a fun card and very easy layout.

Here are a few cards using different prints from the Wrapped In Plaid paper.

Try it sometime yourself with maybe even a different stamp set.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

HOT CHOCOLATE BAR CATALOGUE REVIEW!

A few weeks ago now I had the catalogue launch for the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  I decided on a Hot Chocolate Bar for it.  Since Christmas is so hot here it’s not the time for Hot Chocolate.  Actually it had been quite hot the days leading up to the weekend so it was a bit ironic.  On the day though the weather cooled down.  It was a lot of fun and always so nice for everyone to see what is out for their Christmas creating.

I thought I would share a little bit of it with you.

Firstly, since it was a Hot Chocolate Bar I made up the little gifts in take-away coffee cups.  I know they are not environmentally friendly but I had these sitting around so why not use them.

They were decorated with the snowflake from the Christmas Layers Dies from the Dazzling Glimmer Paper.  It is a bit hard to see the sparkle.  How gorgeous is that Cherry Cobbler Diagonal stripe Ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set but check the frame.  You might actually miss these in the catalogue.  They are created with the Ornate Frames Dies from Shaded Spruce card and then a Cherry Cobber Scallop square from the Layering Squares Dies.

See it here closer.

In the cups I had some ribbon and little embellishments and of course the obligatory chocolate treat. 🙂

We made 2 cards on the day.  I will show you one today and then another tomorrow.

We used the Brightly Gleaming Suite for the cards.

The card above is quite simple really but it looks quite classy with the gorgeous shiny copper accents on the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper and the sparkly Star Designer Elements. The Copper Foil was embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.  Doesn’t that look a cool effect.

When I made the card originally I made a small gift tag up with some “bits” left over.  It’s good to have a matching tag.

The Classic Weave Ribbon is gorgeous with the embossed copper words on it.

I will show you the other card next time.

Until then, why not stop on by my store and check out all the Brightly Gleaming items in the suite. HEAD -> HERE.

SUNDAY SUITES – FEELS LIKE FROST!

This suite I am showing you today is a very gorgeous one.  It has been very popular with many people.  You might have seen it around your blog travels yourself.

This is the Feels Like Frost Suite Bundle of products. Below you can see all that is contained in this suite. If you like it all you can get it for one Item Code which makes ordering easier. $135.50 AUD #153474

There is lots of sparkle and shine in this suite.  That’s why I think it is so popular.  Nothing like sparkle for Christmas.

I have to point out a couple of the products though.  How is this gorgeous (I know I keep saying it) but lovely Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper features photographic imagery on one side and hand-drawn designs with silver foil on the other side.  You receive 48 sheets of 6″x6″ paper –  4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

Colours: in the paper are: Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Smoky Slate, Whisper White.

You can see it -> HERE in more detail.  It is worth seeing it close up.  Check on each of the individual photos to see the prints.

Another fun product is the Shimmery Crystal Effects. We have had Crystal Effects before but this is all shimmery. Only $8.75 for a 15ml bottle.  See it -> HERE.

The Shimmery Crystal Effects has white and silver craft glitter flecks in the glossy lacquer. The small, thin tip makes it easy to outline stamped images or add detail. Be careful though using it right on your stamped image.  It may causing smudging.

Do you want to see more with this suite?

I have to say it again, It is gorgeous!  So head off and grab some now.

If you want to order in my store (Australian residents only) head to the link above.

Be sure to check it out closer at the very least. 🙂

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #82 – COLOURING THE MAGNOLIA LANE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER!

Wednesday’s WOW! #82.  Today is a little technique, or a little trick however you like to look at it.  It is colouring the Designer Series Paper, particularly the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper with the Stampin’ Blends.

Perhaps you have seen this around the internet so apologies that you have already seen it. It’s not my original idea.  I have had this card made for a few weeks and just managing to share it with you now.  It might just be a new trick though for you.

The Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper is very pretty already. You really don’t need to add colour but it’s good to add a little different colour to make it for a totally different occasion.

Colouring with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends makes the flowers look more like Poinsettias for a Christmas paper.  With this particular print you don’t need to colour the leaves.  They will work just as well as they are.

So here is the finished card.

The sentiment for the card is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set punched out with the Timeless Label Punch. They are great Christmas sentiments in this.  Add a little of the Scalloped Lace Trim and I cut some gold leafy shapes using the Flourish dies.

It looks pretty Christmas-y now don’t you think?? 🙂

I am sure this would work well for other papers and colours too.  I was going to try another one but ran out of time.  Add it to the ‘To Do’ list.

Happy Stamping,

Jenny

SUNDAY SUITES – TOILE TIDINGS!

Today’s Sunday Suite is the Toile Tidings Suite in the Holiday Catalogue.  Lots of lovely products in this suite and all in the traditional red and green for Christmas.  Let’s check it out.

The Toile Tidings Suite Bundle. One Item code and it makes it easier than picking each item. $252 AUD It seems a lot but look at all you get.

The Toile Christmas Bundle.  I have to say I wasn’t sure about the Cardinal.  It is very popular in the US and perhaps in other parts but we don’t have them in Australia.  They are apparently a very symbolic bird though.  Which is interesting.

There is also another stamp and die bundle.  The Tidings All Around Bundle. I love that wreath.  Isn’t it gorgeous?

Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper in the traditional red and green – Garden Green and Real Red.

In addition to the 12″x 12″ paper there is the Toile Tidings Gift Wrap.  This is 4 sheets in total.  2 Sheets each of 2 designs.  Each sheet is 24″ x 36″ or 61cm x 91cm.  Great for those larger gifts.

I have to say I love these Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots.  So sparkly!

Let’s see some more projects.

Do you like the Toile Tidings Suite?  Do you have Cardinals in your area?  It would be interesting to see.

PENGUIN EASEL FOR SEPTEMBER STAMPING AROUND THE WORLD BLOGHOP!

It’s time for September Blog Hop with the Stamping Around the World Tutorial Group.  You might have come from Sue’s Blog or starting here.

For our Blog Hop we use the stamp set/bundle that we used in this month’s Tutorial Bundle that are sent out.  Of course I used the Playful Penguins set from the new 2019 Holiday Catalogue. They are just too cute.

For this Blog Hop I have made probably the easiest Easel card you could create.  The idea came from Lou’s blog -> HERE.

Let me show you the card and I will tell you how I have made it.

Front View

From Top

Side View

Folded card

To create the Super Simple Easel Card

See the ‘Side View’ photo above to get an idea of the fold.

Cut card to the standard size base card whether you are using Metric or the Imperial US card size.

Score 2.5 cm (1″) on the front of the card base. Fold on the score line.  This is for the fold of the Easel.

Cut a strip of card 2.5cm wide (1″) and the length being the width of the card.

I added a strip of the Christmas Gleaming stripe pattern on this piece of card. This strip is then adhered to the bottom edge of the inside of the card with dimensionals.  This strip creates the anchor point to hold the Easel up.

Decorate

Decorate the Easel card as you like.

I cut a curved strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper and adhered it on the folded tab.  3 Penguins were stamped with their scarves and then hand-cut and raised up off the Glimmer Paper.  A piece of the Christmas Gleaming Designer Series Paper was adhered to the front of the card which you can see as the star pattern on the top panel.

The sentiment was stamped on a strip of white card but check out the flourish banner Gold Foil.  That was cut using the Ornate Frames Dies from the Holiday Catalogue.

Such an easy card to create but so fun with these penguins.

Remember you can grab the Tutorial Bundle from any of us for your qualifying orders.  Or purchase the Tutorial on it’s own ($20 AUD).

PLAID CHRISTMAS GLEAMING!

Sharing some Christmas Gleaming with you again today.  This is my recent one but I will be honest I am not sure about it.  I am putting it out here though but thought I tell you the process.

The idea was to punch out the ornament from the Wrapped in Plaid paper and adhere some co-ordinating card behind it.  This was Shaded Spruce card.  Then the smaller ornament was adhered on that had been embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder on Gold Foil and then punched with the smaller Gleaming Ornaments Punch.

While the idea was there the execution didn’t seem quite right.

The centre of the ornament seemed bare so I stamped an ornament in Cherry Cobbler on to the Cherry Cobbler card and punched it out with the 1″ circle punch. It still seemed bare so I added a Gold Stitched Shapes Circle behind it. The bow seemed to finish it off more.

The sentiment was diecut with the Ornate Frames Dies.

What do you think? I’m still unsure.

Thanks for visiting me,

Have a great day.

Jenny
