SWEET SATURDAY WITH HEART SHAPED DIES!

Sweet Saturday. Today it’s a cute little card – with leftovers.

Do you have “bits” leftover from another project. They just sit there for some time taunting you. Pull them out and see what you can create.

For this one I had some bits of the Toadstool Gardens Paper. I had a diecut heart from the Heart Shaped Dies along with the little flower. So it was all just the size to make a Mini Thank You card. This didn’t take long at all and I can send it out soon for a special Thank You to one of my customers.

PURPLE FLOWERS WITH THE CORNER IN BLOOM STAMP SET!

I have been doing a little colouring. I’m still trying to work on it.

For this card I coloured the flowers from the Corner in Bloom Stamp Set.

I like with these flowers they have the lines so you can build up your colour around these lines.

I used the Stampin’ Blends with the Light and Dark Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grapes and the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set and diecut with the Countryside Corners Dies.

SUNDAY SUITES – FRIENDS OF THE OCEAN SUITE

Back with Sunday Suites. We have Friends of the Ocean Suite Collection.

The ocean is my favourite place. This suite is different to your typical marine style stamps and dies I think.

The colours in the suite move away from the typical blues you might associate with the ocean. There is the bright pinks and oranges. I think it leans more to the sunrise and sunset colours perhaps?

The Friends of the Ocean Suite Collection includes:

  • The Ocean Friends Bundle
  • The Soft Waves Embossing Folder
  • Friends of the Ocean Designer Series Paper 12″x12″
  • Sunny Day Iridescent Dots 135 adhesive dots 5mm and 6mm. In Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Splash

Let’s look closer.

The Ocean Friends Bundle

This is a two-step stamp set making it easy to stamp the outline, stamp the inside image and diecut. You can choose to colour these too if you would like.

The Friends of the Ocean Designer Series Paper.

The colours in the paper are Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Splash.

The paper has the ocean creature images on one side and patterns on the other. So these papers can be used to create projects of other fun types. Great for those bright, cheery Birthday cards.

The Soft Waves Embossing Folder.

The folder measures 6″ x 6-1/4″ (15.2 x 15.9 cm) so it is a large one but that works great to get the wavy impression whether your card is portrait or landscape position.

I particularly love the Soft Waves Embossing Folder. It creates deep impressions to add extra texture. The curvy lines could be used on any project beyond water images.

See the curvy texture you get with the folder. Here’s a tip: Add some inking on sections of the card to add extra colour.

5 WAYS WITH THE STAMPIN’ UP! BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES BUNDLE + VIDEO ~

I have been playing with the gorgeous new Beautiful Butterflies Bundle. There are so many ways creating with this bundle and I discovered some Tips that might help you when creating with this yourself.

I put together a video to share 5 Ways creating with these Stamps, Dies and Embossing Folder and point out some things to look out for when using them.

If you don’t have the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle some of the ideas may work with other Butterfly stamps and dies you have so check them out.

BEAUTIFUL BOKEH BUTTERFLIES CARDS

I have been playing a lot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle along with the Beautiful Bokeh Paper. They are a pretty combination together.

For some simple cards I embossed the paper with the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder. I love the depth of texture you get with this folder. The paper gives you the Bokeh effect without creating the mess doing the technique.

These are 2 of the colours. A Balmy Blue look and Calypso Coral.

Then there is this one a little more blue and Fresh Freesia showing on the pattern.

I diecut 3 butterflies in white card to add to the card with a simple HELLO Sentiment. This was cut with the Perennial Postage Dies. Simple but sweet cards. We made this as one of our cards in class last week.

THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY BOOKBINDING CARD

Recently I shared a Book Binding Card with the cute Toadstool Gardens Paper. That was part of a Blog Hop I was in. Today I’m sharing another version along with the link to create your own.

This one is created with the Thoughtful Journey Paper. The sentiment is from the Bright Borders Stamp Set and using the To The Point Label Punch.

This is the inside. I added a strip of the paper across the bottom.

The Bright Borders Stamp Set has some really versatile sentiments and I love the pretty bordered edges.
