Seasonal Layers Thinlits – A Stamping Journey

ONE FOR ALL MINI THANKS!

I hadn’t got around to sharing this little card with you. This card is just a small love note size, so 7.5cm x 7.5cm (3″x3″). I made quite a few of these mini cards recently for Customer Thank You cards. This is using the lovely One For All set.

I made 2 different versions. One in a Mint Macaron card base with the flower and stamping in Mint Macaron too and a Calypso Coral banner. Then one in a Calypso Coral base card, stamping and flower with a Mint Macaron banner. I cut the banner free hand by cutting in to the ends of the strip. I added a Vellum circle cut from the Stitched Labels Framelits. The flower is cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.

I sent these out as a little Thanks for customers who ordered the last month or two. With a little token gift too of course.

TEAM SHOEBOX SWAP – DAY 2!

I have another group of photos to share with you today from out Team Stamp day a couple of months ago. We all created a card in the Shoebox Swap for each person to create. I showed you some lovely ones yesterday. (Head back to the last post if you missed it).

This is a mix of different cards.

I haven’t used Sheltering Tree set in a while. After stamping the tree on the white Diecut oval, then stamp the small “dots” in the set in different colours over the branches. We used Tranquil Tide, Pineapple Punch (I think), Grapefruit Grove, and Lovely Lipstick. There was a purple colour created but that was from mixing the Lovely Lipstick and the Tranquil Tide I think. The white card piece was backed on to a diecut black oval that was cut in half.

The next one below uses the High Tide set and the cool seat from Seasonal Layers Thinlits. The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons. To create the background on the card, ink the clear block in the Pool Party inkpad. Lightly spritz it with water and stamp on to the Shimmery White cardstock. The reeds are stamped in Soft Suede and then stamped off again on the card to make it lighter. This was repeated a couple of times.

This next one is using the Coffee Cafe stamp set and the Coffee Cups Framelits. The card was distressed a little with some sponging with Soft Suede ink. This was a fun card to create.

5 WAYS WITH PAPER – #4!

Today – DAY 4 of “5 WAYS WITH PAPER”. What have you thought so far??

Today’s card – why not feature the paper! With all the beautiful prints you can use them just as they are.

This lovely print from Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper is so detailed with the veins of the leaves. I decided to make a Sympathy card with this paper. Good to always have on hand sadly.

It’s a very simple layout with a window highlighting the paper. The leaves are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I cut one from Crumb Cake and one from Vellum. The sentiment is from the Better Together set.

Last one tomorrow. Hope you will tune in. I have had fun creating with the papers. I should do more of it. How about you?

5 WAYS WITH PAPER – DAY 2!

Day 2 of 5 Ways With Paper. I have another great card to share with you using your lovely paper.

This card was inspired by one by Lisa Pretto on inkbigacademystamps.

I have used the Share What You Love Specialty paper again – because it is so gorgeous!

TO CREATE YOUR OWN

On your base card adhere a piece of co-ordinating card slightly smaller than your base.

Cut your pieces of paper. You can make them any size you like of course but to give you the measurements I have used:

Top Left piece measures 8cm (width) x 9.5cm (length) or 3 1/8″ x 3 3/4″.

Bottom Right piece measures 8cm (height) x 7cm (width) or 3 1/8″ x 2 3/4″.

Decorate as you like. I cut a decorative label from the Stitched Labels Framelits. The sentiment is from the One For All set. I sponged around the edge of the white oval with Old Olive. The little Razzleberry flower is cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. It needed something underneath the label. I played around with a few different options but I wasn’t happy with them. In the end I went with a strip of Rich Razzleberry card that I had flagged both ends.

SHADOW STAMPING WITH ONE FOR ALL SET!

I have one more card to share with you today using the One For All set. I had wanted to try the Shadow Stamping Technique for a while but just never got around to it as yet. I thought this set might be fun to try this with.

For this card I stamped the girl on the bike on Crumb Cake card stock in White Craft Ink. I used the Stamparatus to do this although you can do it without it. I wanted to use it in case my White stamped image didn’t stamp out too clearly I could restamp it. I lined the card up on to some grid paper on the base of the Stamparatus and stamped the image. See it below. Sorry lighting isn’t great.

After I left it to dry for a bit I then slid the card about 2-3mm to the left. (or it would be about 1/8″). I kept it lined up with the Grid Paper too so I knew it would be straight.

I cleaned the stamp with a shammy and then inked it with Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped it again. It created a cool effect. I think maybe I don’t need to move it quite so far. Perhaps I will try this again and just move it slightly.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in black in the right hand corner. I adhered the Crumb Cake card mat to a Flirty Flamingo card mat and then to a Thick White Card base. I was toying with the idea of adding some ribbon or twine then spotted the borders on the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper. So I added one of the triangular border strips. To finish the card I added a flower in Flirty Flamingo cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and added a Rhinestone in the centre.

It is a simple card but I think I will have to try this technique out again very soon.

That’s the last of the cards for the One For All set. I will be back with more though later. I have so many more ideas in mind.

ESAD 2017 HOLIDAY CATALOGUE BLOG HOP WITH FANCY FOLDS OR 3D!

Today’s Blog Hop with ESAD (that is Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators – We are all pretty special though!), is focusing on creating a Fancy Fold or a 3D project using products from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue. You would have just come from the very talented Sue’s blog HERE.

I love a Fun Fold card so I was keen to take part in this Blog Hop. Today I have made what I call a ‘LATCH FOLD’. It could be called a Buckle Fold as I have been investigating but there is no slit that the flap tucks in to so I will still call it a Latch Fold. 🙂

I have used the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set found on page 35 of the Holiday Catalogue and my favourite Christmas colour combinations of Island Indigo and Pool Party.

The “Merry Christmas” sentiment is heat embossed in silver to add some sparkle. It was cut with the Layering Circle Framelits and then raised up with Dimensionals on an Island Indigo circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then this was raised up on a Silver Foil circle cut with a scallop in the Layering Circle Framelits. Before adhering it to the card I looped around some Silver Thread. The snowflake is from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits cut from Silver Foil too. To make that stand out I punched a circle from Island Indigo with the 3/4″ circle punch.

Here is the inside. I added a strip of Pool Party card which I had embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

AS PROMISED – MORE Z-FOLDS WITH COLORFUL SEASONS!

A few weeks back I shared some Z-fold cards using the Colorful Seasons bundle. They have been HUGELY popular on my blog since. You can see the original post HERE but these were the cards I shared then just to jog your memory.

I used the Color Theory Paper Stack that has 4 colours in the set; Crushed Curry, Berry Burst, Dapper Denim and Old Olive. At the time I said I would create 2 more with the other 2 colours. I finally have got around to creating these and wanted to share them with you. Of course, I made different matching bags for these too. Each of the bags/boxes I made are created with one piece of the 6″x6″ paper stack. I will give details of those individually in tomorrow’s post.

Firstly, the Old Olive version with a Mini box. It’s a great size box to add a Lip Balm or mini chocolate. I just kept the wrapping simple with some Gold Taffeta Ribbon.

And for the Dapper Denim Version with a Pouch for the Treat Holder.

Now here are the 4 z-fold cards all together. It’s a bit hard to capture them all in one photo but I hope you get the general idea. There is a different sentiment for each colour.
