WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #69 – REATTACHING THE LOCK BUTTON ON YOUR STAMPIN’ UP! PUNCHES

Do you have this problem?  The lock mechanism on your punches pop out and you can’t get them back in.  I found this video on Youtube to help you get them back in and to stop it happening in the first place.

So for Wednesday’s WOW! #69 – how to reattach the lock on your punches. I tried it and it works.

Thanks Kat for this video.  It was very helpful.

Now you can go off and fix those little locks on your punches.

Have a great day,

Jenny

TIME TO CELEBRATE WITH EVERYTHING IS ROSY!

I have another card for you with the Everything is Rosy Medley.  I think this one might be one of my favourites.

I had a small piece of this pretty flowery pattern from the paper pack.  It’s a shame that you can’t see the shiny Rose Gold embossed flowers.  If you have this paper you will know what I mean.  Most of the pieces in the pack have some Rose Gold embossing on it.

I cut this flowery piece in half then added them on to a white card mat with a strip of Melon Mambo. This card strip is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder but it is hard to see in the photo.

Before you add the piece to your Night of Navy card base wrap some of the Night of Navy ribbon around. This ribbon is gorgeous.  I would love to have more of this ribbon.  It has the Rose Gold Metallic edge to it.  Just divine!

With the Rose Gold Diecuts in the pack simply stamp one of the sentiments on the piece and add that to your card front.  I diecut one of the leafy pieces in the dies set in Melon Mambo card just for an added touch.

Have you got this medley yet?  Have you enjoyed creating with it?  You don’t realise how gorgeous it is until you unpack it do you.

If you plan on getting the Everything Is Rosy product Medley you need to be quick.  There is only a few days left.  I know it is a larger expense ($139 AUS) but I will tell you it is so much value.  Someone calculated it to be over $180 in value.  You really won’t be disappointed.  Although I think you will be disappointed if you miss out.

Head to my store now -> HERE to pick one up. Please use the Host code: EUEAGC3N

After your order is placed I will send you out an email with the 12 Free Tutorial projects for this month (These are not including Everything is Rosy projects).

FAREWELL TO THE 2017-2019 INCOLORS!

I am sad that these colours are leaving us.  I have to say I have really liked working with most of these colours.  Especially Lemon Lime Twist.  I thought I would share a few photos of projects I have made over the last 2 years as we send off these colours.

At the beginning of the 2017 Catalogue when these colours launched I had to show them all together with a flower display using the Daisy Punch.

I like to create a group of cards using the Incolors.  These ones use the Detailed Floral Thinlits.

I think Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist has been a popular colour combination I have used over the last 2 years.

Lemon Lime Twist is just as nice on it’s own. It does seem a lot more intense though.

Tranquil Tide.  I used it a little bit.  It was a nice shade of green.  This one was using the Eastern Beauty stamp set.

Fresh Fig and Powder Pink I haven’t used all that much.  But here they are together with Berry Burst.

So we farewell the 2017-2019 Incolors.  What colour are you saddest to see going?

Inkpads and some of these colours of cardstock are still available to order.  Be sure to stock up if you like them.  The Reinkers have all sold out though so you are a little late with those.

See the retiring incolors and to order in my store head-> HERE

Please use the Host Code: EUEAGC3N when ordering.  Thank you kindly. And be sure to not mark your order anonymous or I won’t be able to send you out a little Thank You. 🙂

Next week we will be welcoming in the 2019-2021 Incolors.  I have been playing with these a lot over the weekend so I watch out for some projects soon.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you again.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #68 – FAREWELL LOVELY AS A TREE!

Today is a special Wednesday’s WOW!

Today we take a moment to remember the timeless Lovely As A Tree set.  It is so sad that this set is leaving us.  Each year we scour the catalogue to see if it has made it in.  This year though I think we were all saddened to see that it’s time had finally come.

This set started in the Catalogue in the US back in 2001.  I believe it was designed by Shelli Gardner’s sister who started Stampin’ Up! with Shelli.  This set has been like a much loved family member so it is a sad occasion.  I bought this set in my first Demonstrator order after I joined back in 2008. This set has had so much use and I think every Christmas it gets pulled out.  It is such a classic stamp set.

So today for Wednesday’s WOW! #68 we look back at some of my projects with this stamp set.  I am sad that I couldn’t find photos of some cards I had made but let’s have a look back at these projects I have kept. I have to say it is also a look back at my stamping style too.  Perhaps that is a little embarrassing but … anyway. Enjoy the nostalgic journey.  Apologies in advance for lots of photos.

May 2011 – See the original Post -> HERE.

I don’t know what I was thinking with that button.

Even the inside of the card was stamped with the trees.

From a Stamp A Stack Christmas 2011 with another classic stamp Dasher.  What a great combination these stamps were.  See the original post -> HERE.

These cards were some I received for Christmas 2013.  It included a couple of cards using the Lovely As A Tree set.  I like how the tree is used on it’s side to give the effect of branches.  Very cute.

This Tunnel card was a favourite at a Christmas Card class in 2013.  You can see that post -> HERE and I included a Tutorial how to make the Tunnel card there too in that blog post.  Go and check it out.

This one below was a real WOW! at class back in 2011.  Everyone loved this card. This was a Sparkly Christmas card. You can see it in this post -> HERE and I have a tutorial how to make it in that post. You can use this technique with any stamp set.

Now this next card we actually made at a team meeting like nearly 2 years ago.  I didn’t quite finish it at the time.  So I put it aside on my desk to finish.  All it needed was to be stuck together and a sentiment added.  Well I actually finished it a month ago.  Or actually my daughter finished it for me.

On this card I masked a section of the card and sponged in the section.  Then with the group of trees I heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder.

This card below was the most recent one from last Christmas.  I realised I hadn’t shared this card with you before. We used the Copper Shimmer Paint and swiped it over the card mat that had been embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

Then for more shine we added the Shimmer Paint directly to the tree stamp and also on to the sentiment stamp.  To do this use the Dauber and pick some Shimmer Paint from inside the lid of the Shimmer Paint bottle then lightly dauber over the stamp.  Then stamp it on your card.  Against the Merry Merlot colour it is quite classy.

So sadly the Lovely As A Tree stamp set has sold out now.  I hope you managed to get hold of one.

A new replacement might just be the Rooted in Nature stamp set.  Have you added that one yet to your collection? This set has a number of stamps AND dies.  I think this will be a good alternative.  Hopefully I will get to play more with that one again soon.

Thanks everyone for your patience as we wander down memory lane.

Farewell Lovely As A Tree.  You have been a reliable stamp set for all those special projects and festive occasions. You will be missed.  But I won’t be able to part with you just yet.  Enjoy your retirement.

MELON MAMBO ROSY!

I have some more Everything is Rosy cards for you today.  I have been smashing them out lately.  They are all such gorgeous products and it really doesn’t take much to put a card together.  Such pretty papers … 🙂

These diecut labels make it very easy – and fancy.  Simply stamp on the sentiment and you are good to go.  Perhaps the longest part is diecutting the detailed border trim but a couple of runs through your machine and the card pops out of the die really easily.

It is hard to catch the shine in the paper with the embossed Rose Gold details.  Just gorgeous though.

Thanks for looking.  Have an awesome week. I will be back soon with more.

Don’t forget to grab your Everything is Rosy Medley before they run out.  In Australia? See them in store -> HERE.

ROSE GOLD SHINE WITH EVERYTHING IS ROSY!

I shared this card on my Instagram stories the other day. (If you want to follow me click on the Instagram icon on the right hand column). I really wanted to show the shine  from the Rose Gold Foil.  It’s hard to capture it properly.  I had to take this photo a few times to really see it.  I hope you can see just how gorgeous it is.

I embossed the Rose Gold Foil with the Country Floral Embossing Folder.  You don’t need to do much more.  I just added some of the gorgeous Everything is Rosy Paper and added a diecut flower.  The medley has diecut labels too so I could just quickly stamp the sentiment and add that.

A note with the Foil.  Don’t use the Multipurpose Tombow adhesive on the back of Foil Sheets.  It seems to absorb in to it and it isn’t pretty.  I used Snail Adhesive which worked fine.

Grab your Everything is Rosy Medley of products before they sell out.  You will love them with stamps, dies, gorgeous ribbon, papers and embellishments.  Not to mention the beautiful Rose Gold Shimmer Paint.  You won’t be disappointed.

Order your Everything is Rosy Medley now in my store -> HERE. $139 AUS Please use the Host Code: HQX47XHJ

As a Thanks Receive a Tutorial Bundle of 12 Exclusive projects (these are not containing Everything is Rosy products)

It really doesn’t take much to put some beautiful cards together with these gorgeous products.  I have more to show you.

Have a great day/night wherever you might be.

STAMPING AROUND THE WORLD MAY BLOGHOP – ONE FOR ALL!

It’s time for another Blog Hop with the Stamping Around The World Tutorial team.  What fun!

You might have come from Linda’s Blog or just starting here.  Either way, enjoy the hop.

For my project today I am using the retiring One For All stamp set that I have used in my tutorial project for this month.  I am sad that this set is leaving.  I have had fun with this set so it’s nice to use it for one last time. For today’s project I made 3 cards in some of the retiring Incolors.

We have Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst.  I am sad that these colours are going too.

With my stamp set I actually cut the stamp with the bike and the sentiment cutting them apart. I found that made it so much more versatile.

I stamped the sentiment over Crumb Cake card in Memento Black. I just stamped it Freehand but you could use the Stamparatus perhaps.  I wasn’t worried about it being the exact distance apart.

On white card I then stamped the lady on the bike and matted it in the co-ordinating card colour.  The Happy Birthday from the Amazing Life stamp set was stamped on a small card strip.  Then on the back of the strip add some Snail adhesive and swirl some Copper Metallic Thread.  How can this be going too?? 😦

Here are each of them individually for a closer look.

I hope you like them.

You can head off to the next blog in the Blog Hop now.  Just a reminder though that the Stamping Around The World Tutorial Team have come together to bring you 12 exclusive Tutorials each month. HUGS FROM SHELLI ALL IN A KIT!

You might have heard the news already.  An exclusive Paper Pumpkin card kit has arrived in Australia.  We have been asking for Paper Pumpkin for some time.  This is not a subscription based Paper Pumpkin Kit like in the US but is an exclusive One-off kit.  If it is popular who knows …

Now to have Shelli, the Stampin’ Up! co-founder, to have her signature on this kit is pretty exciting.  And in Shelli’s usual style the projects have an earthy, vintage feel.  I think you will love it.

HUGS FROM SHELLI

The Shelli kit from Paper Pumpkin includes the following:

  • An exclusive stamp set not available anywhere else
  • One Classic Stampin’ Spot® from our Classic ink collection
  • Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs)
  • 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
  • Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards

All you will need is a Clear Stamping Block (D).

One word of warning though:

These are only in limited supplies – and I mean limited.  So don’t think about whether you want it or not.  If you like it, grab it NOW.

It is now available in my store -> HERE  $37 AUS  Please use the Host Code: HQX47XHJ

Thank you for ordering with me.  Don’t forget – don’t mark your order anonymous in store or I won’t be able to send a Thank You out to you. 🙂

Have a great day,
