SUMMER CRAFTASTIC 1/2 DAY RETREAT!

Get ready for some crafting with our Summer Craftastic 1/2 Day Retreat. Come and join us. 

There will be crafting, fun and a little chatter. If you have never been before do come along.

You will love the projects we make. They are easy to follow along for any level of crafter. Even if it is your first time.

TRUSTY TOOLS BUNDLE FOR THE GLOBAL MINI CATALOGUE LAUNCH!

With the new Mini Catalogue released last week I was part of the Crafty Collaborations Mini Catalogue Launch Party. Demonstrators from around the world shared project videos of some of the great new products.

It was so great to be a part of it. You can follow along now too and maybe be inspired by the projects. I will tell you how to find it but firstly let me show you the project I created.

I worked with the Trusty Tools Bundle creating a Split Front Card.

How cool is the Trusty Tools though. I love the Trusty Toolbox paper. That is one of the free choices for Sale-A-Bration. Some of the dies will diecut some of the tools.

In the Mini Catalogue Launch there are 28 project videos. Also though there are fun games to join in on. You can choose what you like to do and can come back to it later at any time.

SUNDAY SUITES – PERENNIAL LAVENDER SUITE!

Back with Sunday Suites today and one of my favourites – the Perennial Lavender Suite.

This is a large suite so let’s have a close look at it.

The Suite Collection includes:

The Painted Lavender Bundle has the dies that you can diecut many of the flower images and has extra leaf dies for you to diecut to layer on your projects.

The Perennial Postage Bundle has the dies with Postage stamp style edges. They are great for Diecutting and layering images. I love these die shapes.

The Perennial Postage Designer Series Paper is 12 – 12″x12″ sheets. 2 each of 6 patterns. So gorgeous!

The colours are Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Lost Lagoon, Orchid Oasis, Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce, Starry Sky

The Paper Butterfly Accents contain 40 paper diecut butterflies. 8 each of 5 sizes. The largest piece measures 2-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ (7 x 6.4 cm). The Smallest piece: 1-7/8″ x 1-1/4″ (4.8 x 3.2 cm).

QUICK CHRISTMAS TAG INSPIRATION!

I’m a little late to the party with this post. Life got away before Christmas to share these BUT… I thought I would share them anyway. You could save them or file them away for inspiration for next year. 🙂

These are some fairly quick Christmas Tags you can whip them up for your Christmas Gifts. You may even use some ideas for tags for other occasions.

We created these in my last class for the year. It was fun! Classes are on a little break now but will be back in the New Year.

For these tags we used Sending Cheer, Trucking Along and Cottage Wreaths.

I hope they can inspire you for later creating.

SENDING CHEER SANTA HAT CARD!

Another one with the Sending Cheer Stamps and Dies. Can you tell I love these???

They are so versatile – and so cute!

This one you can create a simple Santa Hat. 

I have also used the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder as well for the background. It gives such great texture for your cards.

I’m sad these are both going. Have you got them yet?? You don’t have much longer. Grab them now to put them away for next year’s Christmas creating.

A STOCKING SENDING CHEER CHRISTMAS CARD!

I have had so much fun with the Sending Cheer Bundle. It is such a great bundle of stamps and dies.

With this one I have used the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper. The holly type print and the red Gingham print. They work so well with it.

And notice the stocking – when you diecut the stocking top run it through an Embossing Folder for added texture. I used one of the Basics Embossing Folders.

The Sending Cheer stamps and dies are leaving. I am a bit sad about that. Also the paper is going too. So if you want them you best get yourself together and grab them before they leave.

STAMPIN’ UP! MERRIEST TREES – TRIO OF TREES!

More trees today with the Merriest Trees Bundle.

I have used these stamps and dies a lot. I mentioned this card in my video last week.

Did you catch the video?? You can head back a post or 2 and see 5 Ways with the Merriest Trees.

For this card 3 trees were diecut from the Joy of Christmas paper. The words were heat embossed in Gold on the green print one. It’s simple but adds a little elegance. And then a little gold star at the top.

The background white card is embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

Have you seen the Merriest Trees Bundle? There are some great tree dies and other elements in the dies?

Great news! These stamps and dies will be carried over to next year’s Catalogue. BUT they will be dearer as they will be available individually not as a bundle.

WEDNESDAY’S WOW! #157 – TIPS FOR TYING BOWS

Wednesday’s WOW! #157 – Tip for tying your bows.

Do you struggle with tying bows on your cards?? I get a groan every time in class when I say we have bows to do.

Here’s a tip that might help you.

Wrap the ribbon around a block or you could try an inkpad. These are a little more sturdier to tie the ribbon which helps. Tie your bow then snip the ribbon at the back. Then you can add the the ribbon to the card by tying the ends around the back.

Give that a try. I hope it helps you.

TRIPTYCH WITH STARS AT NIGHT STAMPS AND DIES!

Have you heard of the Triptych Technique? I have shared a card with this some months back.

A Triptych is a work of art made of 3 panels or pieces. Early known pieces date back to the Middle ages. This technique is a great one in our card project.

This was a card we created with this technique for our Stars at Night Bundle over the weekend. It works well with multiple images or a scene.

On white card stamp over the images. This card uses Boho Blue, Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate. Then cut the white panel in to 3 even pieces. For the class I had the card cut already in to 3 panels. Then place the white panels closely together and stamp.

The sentiment was diecut with the Something Fancy Dies.

We created 2 different cards with the Stars At Night Bundle too.
