MINI BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES CARD!

I have been sharing a lot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle. It is a gorgeous one. You might have caught the 5 Ways with the Beautiful Butterflies Video I posted just recently. You can find this in a previous post on my blog or now on Youtube. But I will also have the link below if you missed it.

This is one of the cards I created. It is a Mini Beautiful Butterflies folded card in Fresh Freesia.

MAKE IT YOURSELF:

To create this place your die on the fold line of your card base with the little score marks on the die lining up on the fold. Diecut it out. You will have a fold card. If you want some pretty paper on the butterfly adhere your paper to the front of the card first. I used the Beautiful Bokeh paper for this one.

I added a detailed diecut body in white on the front of the card.

TRY THE FAUX WATERCOLOUR TECHNIQUE WITH THE VIDEO~

I came across the Faux Watercolour Technique recently. I was intrigued and had to try it. I thought you might like it too so I put together a video. You can follow along and give it a try.

As you watch you might see it is a bit like the Smooshing Technique. But there are some differences.

I have also used the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder which adds a nice, curvy texture. Also, using the Arched Dies for the sentiment adds a different element.

PAPER FOLDED TREES FOR WEEK 11 OF 12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS

It’s Week 11 for our 12 Weeks of Christmas Series. The time has flown by. Here we are nearly at our last week.

Our project today is using some of those scraps of Christmas Paper you have. I’m going to show you how to make Paper Folded Trees. They can be added to a card or to a tag.

They are very easy to do and you can create them in any size. Just be sure it is a square piece of paper. You can fold little bases for them too.

FROSTED FOREST FOR WEEK 7 – 12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS

It’s Week 7 for our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

This week’s card is using the Frosted Forest stamps and masks. You could use this idea with any tree stamp.

This is a Portrait Fold card. That’s what I’m calling it anyway. I’m not sure if it has a particular name. The fold is at the top of the card.

I have used the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper and some sparkly Glimmer Paper.

I used just one mask in the Frosted Forest mask set. You can add other layers of ink if you would like to.

This is the card.

Embossing the card mat adds some extra texture. I have used the Timber 3D Embossing Folder on this one.

CUTE DEER WITH THE REINDEER FUN FOR WEEK 3 OF 12 WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS

It’s Week 3 for our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

This card is using the Reindeer Fun Stamps and Dies which are just the cutest. The card shows a great way of using different papers together too. I used the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper.

In the video I showed a template for variations in colour with the deer head. I have that below so you can refer back to it later.

They can look so different using different colours. Don’t forget the Red Glimmer for a Rudolph nose.

MAKE A TRIANGLE BOX!

A Triangle Box would have to be one of the easiest type of boxes to make I think. No gluing. Just cut and score and fold.

Triangle Boxes have been around for some time. I used to make them a lot way back when I first started with Stampin’ Up! – 16 years ago!

I was reminded of them recently so pulled it out to make for a recent class. I wanted to share it with you.

These are using the Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper. Seen Here.

The Green one was decorated with the Golden Greenery Dies and the sentiment from the Greetings of the Season. The Gold one was using the Reindeer Dies available in the upcoming Mini Catalogue.

With this particular Triangle Box you can make it any size you like. The length needs to be double the width. For this one it is 20cm x 10cm (8″x4″).

I love making these cards. This one is created by Helen.
