ESAD MAY 2020 – SEE YA LATER FAVOURITES BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the ESAD See Ya Later Favourites Blog Hop. You have come from HERE with the gorgeous creations of Bronwyn, or you are starting on my Blog.

Our Blog Hop today is to feature one of our favourites products. I have chosen the Love What You Do Stamp Set.

I used this set a lot when it first came out and I have to say it got pushed aside with all the other lovelies arriving. When I pulled my retiring products off the shelf this week this one made me sad. So I thought it was time to ink it up again.

I have made a set of 3 simple cards for you today.

We have 3 different colours – Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green/Old Olive.

On the white card mat on each one I embossed the card with Subtle Embossing Folder.

On the Flirty Flamingo card above the flowers were coloured with the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.

The Highland Heather card above was stamped with the Highland Heather inkpad and using the “splodge” stamp in the set.

For this card above I stamped the leaves in Old Olive and Granny Apple Green.

BEST DRESSED THANKS!

I have had this card to show you for some time now.  It’s about time I share it with you.

As I have mentioned previously I presented at Onstage in November with the Best Dressed Suite.  I made this card for Clare from the Stampin’ Up! office in Sydney to Thank her for firstly asking me to present, but also to believe in me and cheering me on during the weeks of preparations and rehearsals at Onstage.  It was an amazing opportunity and I was very Thankful to have had that experience.

Just a few details on the card.  The sentiment label is cut with the Stitched Labels Dies and the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The sentiment is from the Love What You Do stamp set.  The shoes from the Dressed To Impress Stamp set were coloured with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. The perfume bottle and the flower are cut from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.

This is a sweet set and I have just dragged it out to play with it again over the last couple of weeks so it was fun to be using it again.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a great week.  Keep on creating in these crazy times.

STAMPING AROUND THE WORLD MARCH BLOG HOP – RAINBOW FLOWERS!

2 posts in one day! This post I am joining in with a Blog Hop for the Stamping Around the World Tutorial team.  Each month we join in a hop with a project using the same stamp set we used in our Monthly Tutorials.  It’s a great way of seeing a different way of using them.  You might be starting here or have just come from Sandra’s amazing creations.

For my project today I am using the Painted Seasons Stamp set.  It’s been a very popular set in recently and to think that it is a free set with your order!

I wanted a fun, bright card.  I have made a rainbow of flowers on my card.

I stamped the flower in the set over a piece of white card to create a rainbow effect.  The inks used were Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape.  The sentiment is from Love What You Do set.  And did you notice the label shape? I used the new Story Label Punch.  I stamped a piece in Granny Apple Green too and then cut the piece in half and layered it behind the stamped white piece.

While making this card I stamped a few pieces of Whisper White to work on the arrangement.  I didn’t want to waste them so I made another 2 cards with the pieces.

The sentiment on the above cards are from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set and diecut with a small rectangle from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.  I cut another one in Silver Foil and cut it in half and layered it behind the stamped rectangle.

I hope you like the cards.  They are simple but I think bright and colourful and very quick to make.

PILLOW BOX CARD HOLDER!

I just received the Kraft Pillow Boxes recently. These are lovely little boxes for little treats. I will do that with them soon but I had different ideas for this little project.

I made a little pocket with a matching note card and envelope using the Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes.

This is a great size to give a little note to someone as a pick-me-up or a Thanks.  Add a chocolate treat or even a Gift Card.

To make these little pockets, simply cut the top off the Pillow Box just under the curved score line.  Then assemble the Pillow Box.  Decorate it as you like after it is assembled.

To decorate mine, I added a wide strip of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and then a narrower strip over the top.  I wrapped around some Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon and adhered a bow with a Glue Dot.  The sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set was stamped in Rich Razzleberry and then I cut around the ‘friend’ word with scissors.  That was raised up with Dimensionals.

The Narrow Note Card was stamped with the flowers in Memento Black and then “filled” with one of the small “dot” type stamps in Rich Razzleberry.  I added some Old Olive leaves.  Of course, finished off with a Linen Thread bow and a Pearl from the Adhesive Artisan Pearls. The envelope was stamped with a matching flower.

These are so quick to make.  I think I need to make some more so I can have some on hand to give out.  How will you decorate yours?

Thanks for stopping by.

Catch you again soon,

Jenny

TEAM SHOEBOX SWAP – DAY 4!

OK, Today is my last sharing from our recent Team stamp day with Shoebox Swap cards.  I have a few various ones for you.

This one below is using that gorgeous Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper.  I have shown lots of cards using this paper recently.  For this card you don’t need much more than backing a section of the paper on to a strip of black card and adhering it to your white base card.  It makes it look so elegant don’t you think??  I think from memory the sentiment banner is a strip of white card and using the small circle punch to notch out each corner.

This next one is a fun fold.  Adhere a strip of the lovely paper, this one is the Nature’s Poem DSP, down the left hand side of the front of your card.  Punch a slit using the Classic Label Punch on the side of the card front.  You need to punch it twice to be sure that the dragonfly fits through. Punch it once near the top, then slide it down a little bit and line it up with the previous punch and punch it again.  A dragonfly from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits was cut from Vellum and also from Cajun Craze.

This is the inside of the card.  The sentiments are from Better Together set.  It’s a cool card.

This card uses the lovely Love What You Do set, the Share What You Love paper and the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder.

This is a cute little treat bag below.  It is very quick to make up.  This is based on Pootles bag -> HERE.

I hope you have so enjoyed these little projects from our team day.  We are getting ready for another get together in the next few weeks.  Hopefully I don’t take as long to share those with you. 😉

Hope your weekend is going awesomely.

SOME CARD LOVE!

I don’t often share personal things here on my blog as I don’t like to toot my horn but this is Stampin’ Up! related – and it is very exciting for me.

For those who follow me on Facebook and Instagram will know that recently I achieved a HUGE milestone.  It was a big goal and for the most part out of my control.  As a Demonstrator we can achieve different titles.  This one has alluded me for 3 years.  Although I had the team and the sales for some time I needed some other factors to come in to play. Anyway, last month I did it! I made Silver Elite.

It might not be big for you and you may not really care what the fuss is but for me this is big! Thank you to my customers and my team for helping me along the way – and for your support.  I received my certificate yesterday in the mail which was exciting.  Always good to receive Happy Mail. I also received some other Happy Mail this past week and that is what I wanted to share with you today.  I received 2 special cards.

The first one was from my Upline Vanessa.  This is using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper that I have been sharing lately but this is one of the other patterns from the pack.

This card was a lovely surprise.  This is from one of my blog readers who has become a dear friend, Ruth.  It was even in my favourite colour too.  This is using the Love What You Do set with lots of lovely shiny silver embossed features.  Thanks so much Ruth x

Thanks for indulging me.  Thanks everyone for your love and support and visiting me often. ❤

See you again tomorrow.

FINALLY CATALOGUE SHOWCASE MAKES!

Last weekend I had my Catalogue Showcase. Lots of fun, creating and pouring over the new catalogue and new colours.  I have been wanting to share the projects we made all week but I wanted to finish with the Delightfully Detailed projects first. SO, today I can share them.

We looked at the new catalogue and colours.  I shared an overview in this post -> HERE.

To try the new colours everyone got to make a bookmark using the Waterfront set.

On the top they could use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch or the new Detailed Trio Punch.  We used some of the new Black Cord to tie it off.

For the card we used the fantastic new Stitched Labels Framelits.  I have mentioned these previously.  These are a must have I think.  We used the Love What You Do stamp set and some of the gorgeous Share What You Love Designer Series Paper.  A little addition with the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls finished the card off.  The sentiment for this is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  I think everyone was in love by the end of the session. 🙂

I had mentioned the Stitched Labels Framelits back in this post -> HERE.  I didn’t share this chart I had made at the time to show how each of the Framelits cut.  You might like to see it.

These are the Framelits

Hope your weekend is going well.  It is blowing a gale here so hopefully I won’t get blown away. 😉

GET TO KNOW THE 2018 INCOLORS!

Well what an exciting day yesterday was with the start of the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue.  I hope you have had time to look over it and maybe even made up your Wish List.  I hope you have a BIG piece of paper for that. Perhaps a notebook would be better. 😉

For today I thought we would chat about the new Incolors.  Let’s meet them.

I must say, they are quite bright Incolors this year.  I don’t often work with a lot of bright colours and I wasn’t too sure of them.  They are growing on me though and I think if you aren’t too sure then just use them in small doses on a card and maybe not try and use all of them together.  (That’s my solution anyway. 😉 )

I made up a set of cards using these colours.

It’s hard to see them all when there are so many. I have each one below. I used the Love What You Do stamp set and the new Stitched Labels Framelits.  Love! Love! Love! these.  If you love the Stitched Shapes Framelits you will love these.

It’s good to see a Colour Comparison to see how the Incolors compare to other colours.  Each year I do a Punch chart to show them and have it in my studio.  Every one who comes to classes likes to see the differences in the colours we use.  I know I could probably do a fancy, schmancy computer generated one but where is the fun in that – and I don’t have time!!  I know it’s not the most professional or quality presentation but we are about punching cardstock and sticking them on paper. 😉

Here are the comparisons.  What do you think of the colours? What is your favourite Incolor this year?

Let’s talk about each of the colours.

Grapefruit Grove

I have to say this is fast becoming a favourite colour.  I have used it quite a bit already.  It’s a nice soft peach colour, a little lighter than Calypso Coral which I have used a lot of. It does work well with a lot of current colours.

HOW TO ON THE CARDS:  Each card layout is the same so I will just give the details here. The “stitched” effect was cut on a piece of the coloured card and then cut with an Oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits. You might notice along the bottom edge of the white on each of the cards is a different “stitched” effect either straight “stitches” or xxx “stitches”.  It is hard to see.  I had a couple of attempts to cut these and found that I would get an ‘edge line’ from the Framelit which annoyed me.  I ended up using the foam mat as the top plate on the Big Shot and found that reduced the line.  I was happy with that.

The flower was stamped in the ink colour and then lightly washed over with the Aquapainter. It was then hand cut with scissors.

Call Me Clover

A bright green colour which might work great at Christmas time.  It is much lighter than a few of the current greens.

Blueberry Bushel

I am liking this shade of blue.  It’s not such a dark shade like the Night of Navy but not so “bright” which is a good addition to the blues.  I think it will work well for Masculine cards.

Pineapple Punch

I have had a number of people say to me how they love this colour.  Actually it was chosen as one of their favourite colours of all the colours.  It wasn’t just one person either.  So obviously it is a great addition.  A bit more “truer” yellow perhaps.  Warning: wear your sunglasses while looking at it. 😉

Lovely Lipstick

A bit darker pink to Melon Mambo.  A number of people have said they really like this colour too.  I think this is a little lighter than Berry Burst if you are comparing them too.  It’s a nice pink.

—-

So there are all your 2018-2020 Incolors.  I am sure you will see a lot of these colours over the next 2 years.  I hope you get to play with these colours too.

Have a great weekend,

Jenny

SHARE WHAT YOU LOVE FRIEND CARD!

Last month we had the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event.  I am sure you have read lots about that already.  I realised I hadn’t show you the cards we made.  They are with products from the upcoming catalogue.  Lots of gorgeous stuff! So I have this card for you today.  And this is using the lovely paper and stamps from the Share What You Love suite that is now available this month.

The gorgeous Share What You Love Designer Series Paper (that has a beautiful shine to it), the lovely Velvet Rich Razzleberry ribbon, the Pearlized Doilies that have a nice soft shine to them and of course the Love What You Do stamp set.  Notice the little pearls.  They are the Artisan Pearls and are really lovely too. They come in a mixed pack with Rich Razzleberry, Grapefruit Grove and Tranquil Tide colours.

I will bring you some of the other cards next post.
